The only chili cheese fries I have only ever really liked. Love you, Banger's.

drink.well. doesn't have your average gross bar food. It's more refined fare and cool cocktails to with it. We got:

Eggs in Purgatory: 2 soft-baked eggs in spicy marinara and bubbly gruyere cheese with home fries

Twisted Sisters: vanilla-battered fresh toast sticks, twisted with candied bacon with fresh fruit and cinnamon cream dipping sauce

I've had the Yardbird Sausage and Waffles with house-made chicken sausage, fresh-baked waffle rounds and smoky chili-honey drizzle and it's pretty damn good. Waffle + meat is unwrongly snubbed at and more people need to give it a go.

The St. Germain Cocktail is good for any time of day. It's St. Germain Elderflower liqueur, Gruet Sparkling Wine and Club Soda. And it's just refreshing perfection. And the Mimosas are like regular mimosas and come in fresh orange or grapefruit juice.

Never too old to go to Rainforest Cafe. And since I never got to go at the Tyson's in McLean, VA, I think it's well deserved.

The animal noises and the theatrics were exactly what I wanted.

Shades and marg + sangria blends at Shady Grove. The tamale cakes (corn pancakes, pulled pork, Hatch Green Chile Sauce, queso and pico de gallo) were probably the best item we got. Just a great blend of flavors. The Chili Cheese Fries were extremely disappointing. In fact, the only ones that I really like are from Banger's. And the cheeseburger was pretty lackluster.

However the vibe is really nice and relaxing and perfect for a cool summer day. Cool being the key word here since it's freaking Texas.

Fried milk dessert from Uchiko. Indescribable. I'm probably just not the biggest fan of Japanese food, especially expensive Japanese food, but the Uchiko experience was definitely worth it for this lil piece of heaven. A description just won't be do it justice. Thank you, Paul Qui.

To breakfast or to lunch at brunch? That is the question... This South Congress Burger was definitely the right choice. Ground fresh daily grilled riman ranch beef, homemade bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, house cut french fries + ...smoke gouda, crispy prosciutto & caramelized onion. HOLY YES.
