Furthermore, trauma is a thing. Rape is a traumatic event, and forcing a trauma survivor to relive their trauma exascerbates PTSD.

i went into industrial society and its future with such high hopes, and immediately ted starts listing his grievances with "leftists" and honestly i can't relate, i don't get why he thinks these are bad things (the 3rd page referred to this:)

how are some of these bad things though. and he says that leftism isn't an ideology or a political belief, but a mental disturbance or something, which makes no sense? shouldn't leftism be a symptom of this mindset, and the mindset be called something else, for clarity's sake!

some of the stuff he says could be applied to "sjws" or the dreaded libfem queer intersectional performative advocacy or whatever. but he still mostly comes off as your average middle-aged conservative dude crying about gun rights and pc culture

also his writing is so boring and faux academic but i guess he just can't help his chromosomes, i should just lower my expectations and dull my feminine mind to get some precious male pretentiosness wisdom when i pick up a book by a prostate-holding individual

Magdalen, I will not let you down.

Trying to relate to men as a woman - who is learning to be strong having had almost no strong female figure in her life (hence, my intense admiration of Magdalen Berns), trying to be honest among a sea of dishonest women (hence, same thing) - is the hardest thing in the world to describe. Most men have strong male figures all around them from the womb to the tomb. Courageous, tough, truthful women are built from decades of dialyzing from a culture that would have us stupid, subjected, and easily coerced.

When I describe why I am grieving so intensely over the imminent loss of Magdalen, the term - “I can’t make it make sense to you” - is all I can say sometimes. There is no way to describe what it is like to cling to courage and honesty in a world that couldn’t give a fuck about whether or not you have those habits or not.

But courage and honesty are worthy to have even if I was the last person on earth. It is worth all the pain it takes to graft them into my being. Thank you Magdalen. I will be brave because of you. I will never sacrifice principle for the approval of others.
