I like following game development, I’m a pretty big nerd about design… stuff like cut content, the process, weird niche facts and mechanics in games. Hiya! I'm Jake!! im a weird depressed-yet-silly nerd who loves video games (even if i dont play them as much as id like to...) pronouns? he/him (but with they/them vibes) (my gender? who knows!!) I generally use this blog to ramble about my fav viddygames, ramble about my life / vent (sorry not sorry), and reblog whatever. I don’t tend to reblog anything suggestive but ill tag it if i do

I like posting game ideas or concepts here, because I'm a big nerd for games, and ... well, is it fitting to say I'm an aspiring game designer? Game design fascinates me (and simultaneously confuses me sometimes-)

I'm also a big nerd about writing and stories in general, particularly in games. I'm that one person who'll exhaust all NPC dialogue.. I enjoy theories... lore... all that stuff. very fun :3

My fav games include minecraft, terraria, undertale/deltarune, pokemon, stardew valley, risk of rain, celeste, oneshot, and much more! i also love music and animals. ive had many cats over the course of my life, and i love them all!! currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats…

While I also sometimes vent quite a lot here, I try to tag my different types of posts, so you can filter them out or just browse specific tags on my page. tags are ahead, though as of updating this I am soon going to attempt to mass change many of my posts tags and my tagging conventions:

#jake post - a new tag, just a generic post tag for non-reblog posts (will include self reblogs) #reblog - reblogs.

I try to tag games that I talk about, (ie pokemon, deltarune, minecraft)

#[game name] spoilers - for if a post contains spoilers or leaks for a game, although any spoilers will also be behind a "keep reading" line.

#vent post- a vent post, which I will always include a "keep reading" line in. Don't feel the need to read these, I just like getting them out there sometimes.

#mild vent - similar to the above, but more casual frustrations or woes than serious topics. Same rules apply

gorgeous colors, really subtle on it being a game but its just a damn good design... also happens to be really comfy. shoutouts to their constellation climb skirt too, i know someone who that reminds me of lol

and like, yea its just straight up got the characters, but theyre good designs and oh my god is it cozy.. also on mine... the colors are washed out atp, way less vibrant, but it works as a really nice pajama shirt

i mean, people wear floral shirts. this is like. almost that. gamer equivalent. hollow knight is also mainstream enough and COOL enough that its the only shirt i have that has made people in public go "oh nice, [game]" . not afraid to show off that i enjoy what is just, a great game.. not just a great game but a good example of games truly being an artform id say

what if the endermen in minecraft were actually just like. hoarders. and they just REALLY want to make sure they have keepsakes from all around the multiverse because theyre afraid of loss. almost ironically

this isnt even the headcanon i follow rly nor is it based on anything in game but like

i think its a fun twist on the ror2-void-type-thing where they just collect stuff from different worlds to analyze and study it. except have it be that endermen came from like, Not The End, an Original Home Dimension that entirely collapsed.. and they fear it happening to other dimensions, so much so that they just. want to yoink keepsakes from the whole multiverse. before theyre gone

but eh i moreso follow the idea that endermen are just yknow, entropy. kinda. thematically i think its fitting to have a game all about creation have a whole species or even cult thats about.. not quite destruction but that is generally negative in reaction to. seeing you prevail and continue

...but i really have always loved the idea of just. endermen are the most silly little creatures to me, holding blocks like oo look what i found hehe. so i find it hard to accept them being an entropic force...

my problem is if i enjoy something enough i will be nitpicking. i Will have things to say about where and how it failed. out of nothing but love straight from my heart. unfortunately this often makes me indistinguishable from a hater who has never experienced joy or kindness. such is the amateur critic's burden.
