@kpax1125 and I went to see one of my favorite baby-musicians last night on the last stop of his North American tour. The venue was super charming - also I did not use the zoom to take this photo at all - and everyone there to see the show was really friendly and nice. Someone had a medical emergency during the opening act and everyone calmly and quietly moved out of the way so the paramedics could get in and out easily, and then everyone went back to where they’d been standing and there was no shoving or jostling or people trying to commandeer someone else’s spot. The opening act was absolutely darling, she said the shows she’s done with him were the first time she performed for anyone other than her parents. She stopped singing during the medical event so the venue could turn on the lights and everyone could prioritize getting out of the way and getting help where it was needed, and after she stopped I heard someone in the audience tell her “you’re doing so great!” and it was so genuine and sweet.

One of the bartenders gave me one of their ad posters for the show and then we stuck around to finish our drinks and got to talk to Vincent and I rambled embarrassingly about why one of his songs is so meaningful to me and he was very kind.

And I was still in bed by midnight!
