so what i’ve gathered from posts on my dash today is that teenagers are calling out mostly 18-22 year old owl players for shit they did when they...were 15...even though...these teenagers are 15...?
geguri mightve forgiven xepher but i wont excuse him for playing poorly LUL
say what you want about any player– but honestly a lot of them went through a lot and one of the stories that always sticks to me is eqo’s. at a very young age he moved to a different country, was forced to learn a complete new language and not only that– lose his father. like – you can tell, in the video where he talks about it he immediately chokes up and tries so hard not to cry. he lost his father at 15 and continues to pursue this, contrary to popular belief, very risky career path because his father told him to always do something that he would love. i can’t imagine the emotion and pressure he’s under and he’s still young.. he’s only 18. he’s had it terribly rough, and he’s literally exceeded a lot of peoples expectations.. especially when he first debut’d. he’s doing well rn– and although philly is in shaky standings this stage i know they’ll bounce back.
geguri’s response from her ama (4/29) on how she feels about xepher
here’s the most info i could find abt xepher’s involvement
tl;dr he accused her but was against threatening her and didn’t say he was going to retire.

THANK YOU FLETA FOR MY LIFE
what really bothers me about the casters shitting on seoul dynasty is that it’s in a different tone from how they express disappointment in dallas fuel. and that’s kind of the big difference: shit on seoul, sympathize with dallas. both teams were slated to be a top 5 team and seoul delivered early on but dallas fuel tanked from the start. now that seoul is having a very questionable stage it seems like no one is really rooting for them. im happy for the other teams improving and being real underdogs, like everyone loves that because it’s exciting and that’s fine but the treatment/attitude towards korean players and teams is just disgusting. despite DF’s ‘transparency’ casters were quick to shit on rascal and reprimand effect instead of really criticizing internal decisions. seoul isn’t the most transparent team but when zunba was hurt or ryujehong wasn’t feeling well everyone was like ohhh seoul really making the bad decisions/throwing on purpose/etcetc. seoul has always been a team that has strong individual players whereas their teamwork needs some work and i don’t think it’s bad for the coaches to mix up the line ups and find different team combinations that would be good for them. to me i feel like casters only value korean players when they contribute positively to teams or make huge plays but are very quick to turn on them when they don’t deliver. because this is a professional league (even though it IS esports) i think that the casters should at least make an attempt at doing their research before going on watchpoint and throwing away their credibility bc they can’t bother to hide their bias and that’s just the tea.
