I have been on a big sewing kick. I am considering drafting up the pattern for the Furby Baby onesie, but like, in other sizes too...

Omg what a journey but she wooooorks! (And sometimes a little hard of hearing xD)

The majority of the issue was battery corrosion. I printed an entirely new battery door with new contacts. Then I had to dig out the nut and screw because they were fused together. Luckily once cleaned, both were still fully usable and fit the new door.

The only remaining issue is that her tummy sensor doesn't seem to work (easy peasy) and I don't think the tilt sensor is working either.

I opened the scrungly 05 Furby, some good and some bad.

First, the battery door was bowing out and the screw was so badly stripped that it was just spinning in the socket. Aaaand we had to break the door to remove it. Of course there were batteries that had been in there for who knows how long! There's some corrosion but nothing catastrophic.

Managed to strip the skin off, the little nose screw was super stripped though (must have been factory since I'm the first to open). Overall, the insides look really clean and I'm hoping that once I fix the battery door and corrosion, it might actually work! Even if it doesn't though, I'm so excited to have this one in my collection.

A real scrungly critter has arrived! I already have a replacement beak ready to go and I can wait to get them all cleaned up this weekend 🥰

Sadly, my wizard furby seems to be DOA. I fully pulled him apart and after cleaning out the...friends that had once lived inside it, found that it might be the motor has gone bad. I tried several of the jump start methods but at most, the motor just buzzes and heats up. I tried to grease things up but no dice. Luckily, the same motor is very cheap online. If I can replace it successfully, huzzah! If not, then I'm right back where I started and that's okay too.

Yay Wizard Furby! I haven't had a Furby since childhood and really wanted this guy as a kid. I managed to find one for a good price. He just needs a bit of a cleaning and to be fixed but I'm just happy he's here 🥰

I'm so excited y'all. I managed to snag a 2005 Furby, specifically the marshmallow color. I've been dreaming of one for years! It's gonna need some fixing (already have a replacement beak ordered) and cleaning but I'm excited to spruce it up and see if it works!

I played Popmart gamba (only because there are a few Twinkles in the set that I don't mind getting) and I got the meow meow I wanted!

Aaaaaaah! Mariko has been my grail doll since she came out back in 2011. I couldn't afford her back then and then she got harder and harder to find. I honestly gave up hope. Then while trying to find a different head, a Mariko fullset popped up, IN THE STATES TOO. I just had to pounce! She is in excellent condition and it looks like she was mostly displayed in the box the whole time. All her clothing and wig seems unopened. She's so adorable and I don't think I've ever really seen photos of her side profile which is even cuter! I'm just so over the moon right now.

Posted the files for my little bearded dragon BJD over on Ko-fi and Cults. I will warn anyone that the default is very teensy. Stringing will take time and patience and fishing line was my best friend lol. If you want to print it in FDM it will probably need to be scaled up.
