Ichiban is a very good protagonist.

based on:
What the fuck is this game
Yakuza 7 is a video game + text posts
dog without a master…
the curt “just so you know i don’t care that you killed my boss” text message majima sends you in kiwami to justify keeping the majima everywhere system post-game is REALLY funny, but i’ve been thinking a lot about that particular narrative moment with the added context of yakuza 0.
i discovered that my favorite ytp on the planet got taken down... I still think about this scene every day
Disappear. Silently Get right mentally, spiritually and monetarily. Pop back up with a brand new energy.
what's the best drawing or art advice you've received?
basically, 1) draw fast, 2) let go
really its two parts of the same advice which is that its better to spend 1 hour and finish a “good enough” drawing than to spend 3-4 hours nitpicking trying to get a “perfect” picture!! (we’ll say 1 hr for example, it takes different people more time to do different things!)
this is because no matter how much time you spend on a drawing trying to make it perfect, its gonna look terrible in a year when youve improved. there is no escaping this. but this is also a good thing because its a sure sign (almost a guarantee!) that youre going to improve!!
with that said, spending lots of time on a piece also tends to be discouraging, because you sit there for HOURS and it still doesnt look how you want it to. ive found that its better to spend less time on something (ie “draw fast”), if it doesnt look perfect, you go “eh, good enough” and move on to the next piece instead of obsessing (ie “let go”)!!! it helps you improve faster!!!
i guess the reasoning behind it is that only by drawing a lot will you improve, so spending 3 hours drawing 3 “good enough” pieces improves your art faster than spending 3 hours ATTEMPTING to do a “perfect” piece, which really only results in 1 piece thats only slightly better than the 3 you couldve done, except now youre exhausted and discouraged
think of it like this!! no matter how much time you spend on a piece, odds are it wont be too far in “quality” as all your other pieces. whether it looks “shitty” or “amazing” to you, from the POV of someone else it probably wont look too different than what you usually do!! (for those who get the math reference, all your art falls within a certain epsilon-neighborhood of your avg art quality. your focus should be on moving the center point up, rather than just one individual piece!!)
another thing to think about is this: consider your fav artist!! theres a 100% chance they have all the same struggles with a piece looking bad or good, yet to our eyes, all their art looks equally good, right?? so dont worry too much and just focus more on drawing as much as possible to improve faster!!
do you have some dadjima x pregnant partner headcanons maybe?? thank you soo, love your blog and all your hcs :)
