Oh btw, something I noticed about today’s snapshot (particularly the wonderful new music added by the extremely talented Lena Raine):
All of the nether biomes have music in them… except one. Nether wastes, crimson forest, soulsand valley & the newly-added basalt basins… all of ‘em got some new music in this update! (And you should listen to them, they’re beautiful)
But, oddly, the warped forest biome got no such treatment… why is that?
If you actually go there in the game, you’ll start to notice how eerily… quiet it is in that biome… The only mobs that spawn there are endermen.
In fact, many of the nether mobs actively fear items from the warped forest biome, notably hoglins squealing and running at the sight of warped fungi.
There’s a part of hell so utterly terrifying that even the creatures that roam hell are afraid of it.
What are they afraid of?
