Violet Hill // Silver&Kris

Due to the ruckus caused by Crobat, the girl had noticed them. He figured she was just going to glance at them and continue about her business, but something got her attention, and she began to approach Silver. He fired a dirty glare at Crobat - He really didn’t want to interact with anyone today, but it looked like he was going to have to find a way to chase the girl off.

Once she had reached the bench he was sitting at, she seemed to be studying him up and down in a curious manner. The Pokemon behind her interested him more than she did, seeing as it was a Pokemon given out by Professor Elm. She must have been at least a little important to get a starter. Not many trainers did.

”You look…” She began. Just what exactly was she doing? His face showed his irritation almost perfectly, while something suddenly caused her to look far more bashful than she had a moment ago. “Uhm, excuse me, but… don’t I know you from somewhere?”

"…What?" Was Silver’s dumbfounded reply. She thought she knew him from somewhere? Crobat continued to eye her curiously, as if enamored by her. Did he recognize her? He wasn’t the best with names, but he knew faces. They must have met a long time ago, if Crobat remembered and he didn’t… Her hair was tied up in bright blue pigtails (Slightly dissimilar to the way Lyra presented hers), her eyes as deep as the ocean… Something about that stupid yellow hat was familiar, admittedly.

He placed a hand on his chin, digging through old and buried memories, trying to find a name to go with this face that claimed to recognize him. “Maybe…” He mumbled. He seemed to recall meeting one person with a peculiar name, similar to ‘Silver’ and ‘Gold’. It was almost like they fit a theme of some kind. He was remembering a different name, though… Maybe it was a nickname? It was on the tip of his tongue…

"…You… You’re… Kris?"

Meganium snaps awake as her trainer inquires about the boy on the bench. Curious eyes settle on his figure, and Kris paces back and forth until he pipes up, mentioning her name and successfully identifying her. Certain her reputation hadn't proceeded her by that much, the blue-haired female perks up. "Yes, that's me!" Her modesty melts for a moment, being replaced by a prideful air. "But I'm almost positive I recognize you from somewhere, myself..."

Over the course of her journeys, it goes without saying that the girl had encountered many a unique individual. How on earth was she expected to remember them all? Still, the pangs of nostalgia have her mind reeling for some sort of recollection. Now that I think about it...

His red mane is unlike the styles worn by many boys in contemporary fashion, and there's something about his strange uniform that gives him a rather stuffy aura; topped off with a scowl, it takes Kris only a few more seconds to recall the name of the fellow seated before her. "I do believe your name is...." Kris takes a step back, almost out of precaution.

"You're Silver, are you not? My, it's been a while..."

Waiting || Kris & Gold

 Nerves are eating him from the inside out.

It almost burns his flesh. He holds the egg closer to his chest, tucks it under his chin, keeps it warm with his burning body. He waits for her quietly. They’d agreed to meet up on route thirty one, and Gold made sure to come early enough so he’d have no chance of missing her. She’s his oldest friend, and yet he’d neglected her ruthlessly; just like he’d done with Lyra.

But he can fix that. She agreed to meeting him, so she can’t be that angry. He doubts she’s angry at all. They’re both busy with their own lives— he can’t help it. They’ve grown apart, they live separate lives.That’s what happens when you grow up.

For now, he’s forgetting he’s no longer that eleven year old boy. He’s waiting on a route so close to home, for a dear friend who he’ll always come back to, eventually. 

        Just waiting.                   Waiting.                      Waiting.

All it took was a call, and Kris' plans were made. The boy she'd last seen years ago wanted to arrange a meet-up — for what in particular, she wasn't aware. But, surely, they both had their share of stories to last a couple of rendezvous. After all, his legacy still has a habit of proceeding him; carrying through the winds, stories of his successes always inspired a fondness within Kris, no matter where in the world she found herself. 

A sting of regret always would follow, however; conditioning herself not to feel at fault is difficult, but Kris could learn to manage. People drift apart, c'est la vie. And at least today, their paths would cross again.

She strides past a quaint pond, hiking through a bit of tall grass before finally spotting a silhouette along the path ahead. Kris picks up her pace, her feet carrying her quicker, until she's face to face with Gold. The look in his eyes has a conflict to it; seconds away from offering a proper greeting, perhaps even a hug, Kris' eyes dart to something in the boy's arms. "Ahh, h-hello. What's in the egg, if you don't mind me asking?"

Gonna Catch 'Em All || Kris x Red

A blizzard. There had to be an unsuspected blizzard on the day when Red would go to Johto and meet a certain someone who would help him with his Johto pokedex. So, the champion’s 10 minute trip down to New Bark Town took at least an hour thanks the the blizzard. While Red waited in the cave for the blizzard to die down, he hoped that the person who would be helping him would understand the sudden change in the weather. 

As the raven approached Professor Elm’s lab door, he thought for a moment whether he should knock now or later, but since he was already late. Red knocked on the door. “Just a second!” a feminine voice called out from behind the door and in less than a blink of an eye, the door swung open to reveal a young girl, maybe a year or so younger than the raven. 

“I-I was beginning to wonder if you’d cancelled,” the female stated, a couple of seconds later after the door opened. Ah, so he was that late for the appointment. “… . Oh… .,” The male started off “… . I’m sorry… . There was a sudden… blizzard on Mount Silver… .” Red hoped that the blue haired female would understand this. 

The young female welcomed Red into the lab with a welcoming grin and a gesture into the lab. “I’m glad to see you’ve made it! Won’t you please come inside?” The champion nodded, and gave the female a small, rare smile as he walked in. 

Once Red entered the lab, he sat down at what seemed to be table with piles of paperwork, but honestly, the raven didn’t mind. It was always like this at Professor Oak’s lab and with Green there… . Everything was 50% better worse. "My name is Kris, and you are…?" Kris asked silent male, “… . My name’s Red… . Its nice to meet you, Kris…” a few seconds of silence and Red added in “… yeah… It’s a weird name… but… I can’t blame my parents… .”

"Mt. Silver?" Kris was a bit perplexed, watching the dark-haired boy enter the laboratory. "That's an awfully dangerous place, not many travel that path." She knew from experience; following her trek to Indigo Plateau, the girl combed through the mountain pass east of Blackthorn. Staying for a period of two weeks was a lot for the girl to handle, but she managed to uncover many hidden passageways and rare artifacts throughout the enormous mountain, scaling everything but the summit.

It was at the sudden revelation of his rather peculiar name that made all the pieces connect. "So wait..." She approached his seat on the sofa and bent down to gather a better look at him. "You're the Red?" Stars erupting within her eyes, Kris jumped excitedly for a moment. She knew someone important would be needing her help, but the fact that it was the raven-haired boy who took down the Champion before her, Kris couldn't believe her luck.

"I hear you're somewhat of a recluse, why is that?" Sitting beside him, she leaned in closer, until she realized the rudeness of her question. "I-I'm sorry! That's rather rude of me, I do apologize... You don't have to answer that if you don't want to." She began fiddling with her fingers, looking down into her lap and away from the visitor.

Violet Hill // Silver&Kris

Everything was dull.

The sunset washing Olivine in an orange glow, the fresh air of Mahogany, the clear starry sky illuminating the small town of Cherrygrove… All of it was dull. These typically breath-taking sights had become routine for Silver, and it was all boring. It felt like such a childish complaint, but it had become a huge problem for him. Boredom lead to thinking, and thinking lead to his mind spiraling into depression.

Really, no one wanted to deal with that - Especially the families at National Park. A part of him thought that maybe the calm atmosphere would soothe him somehow. It was a pretty far-fetched idea, really. The mothers and kids that passed by him looked at him warily, as if he were a snarling dog that would pounce at any moment. At least his Pokemon seemed to be having fun.

Weavile and Feraligatr were a little ways off, playing nearby the fountain, while Crobat was sitting next to his trainer on the bench. Alakazam and Magnezone were too ”mature’ to enjoy meaningless fun, and Gengar couldn’t be trusted in public. She was far too mischievous for her own good.

With his head resting in his hand, Silver let out a huff and closed his eyes. “It’s too hot…” He whined to no one in particular, though it was rather stupid to complain about the heat when he refused to take off his jacket. He just didn’t feel comfortable with it off. “Krrr." Crobat suddenly chirped. He received no vocal response from his trainer, and thus swatted at him with one of his wings. "KrrRrrhh!”

"What?" He finally barked, eyes shooting open to glare at his Pokemon. The poison-type looked away, causing metallic eyes to follow his line of sight. What was he looking at? A person? It was just some girl, what could possibly get Crobat so worked up? Perhaps he was just curious about how bizarrely blue her hair was.

A place such as the National Park never fails to brighten an otherwise cloudy day; Kris decides to pay the place a visit, thanks to a brief (and well-earned) break in her current field study. Researching the genderal differences between Pokemon of the same species, the girl hasn't taken a break in weeks. It took a little coaxing from the Professor and fellow laboratory aides, but once she caved, Kris immediately took off towards the Park outside of Goldenrod, to escape the stresses of urban life. "Alright," she says, turning to her Pokemon. "Have at it, guys."

Without another second to waste, they rush into various directions. Granbul chases after Nidoqueen, who's chasing after Ampharos, and the three Pokemon tear through the flowerbeds in a game of what appears to be freeze tag. Corsola waddles over to the fountain, leaping in and floating in the clear waters. Meganium sways alongside her trainer, eyes pleasantly shut, with her head tilted up towards the sun. 

Kris decides to do a little exercise, walking aimlessly around the Park, while Meganium lags behind. This place never changes, she ponders nostalgically. Must be why I enjoy coming here so much. 

A Pokemon's cry snaps Kris back into reality; she whips her head around, only to lock eyes with an agitated-looking Crobat. Usually, the girl would smile and continue about her business. It's the appearance of the trainer seated beside the large bat that catches Kris' eye. Something about him sparks a odd sense of déjà vu, prompting Kris to look closer.

Curiously, she approaches the boy. Her eyes examine his appearance again and again, but nothing in particular comes to mind; of course, her curiosity gets the best of her. "You look..." Wow, this is rather bold of her. She blinks twice, flustering as she rephrases the informal greeting. "Uhm, excuse me, but... don't I know you from somewhere?"
