Q1: I’d completely fall for this kind of girl!
S: A girl who is family-oriented, lady-like and has a bright smile with maybe black or brown straight hair.
R: A caring girl. A girl who will put others before me. I really respect that kind of person.
Q2: I love this kind of girl!!
S: Somewhat spontaneous fragile girls – Because they’re the type I want to take with me everywhere, holding their hand gently as they follow me.
R: Someone who isn’t easily offended - Girls who get angry even when I say “It’s okay, don’t get mad” scare me.
Q3: “I fell for a girl who’s already taken!” Would you still approach them? Or not?
S: I would- I would try even harder to be charming. I’d see her boyfriend as a rival.
R: I wouldn’t- “Not now, but maybe sometime together we could…. No… it’s best like this.” I would think to my disheartened self.
Q4: What have you done to your love interests in the past? (T/N this all in all was weird/annoying to translate… even my Japanese had trouble trying to put it in English. So this is NOT 100% spot on.)
S: There were times when I’d find a girl from my school who I always only see in uniform, in casual clothes and make-up. I’d end up following them around.
R: I once drank juice from the same straw as her.
Q5: Your text asking her out for your first date!
S: “Yooo! It’s Goku…….JK!!! It’s Shuuuu! Do you have any free time next week? If you do, wanna go to Yokohama together?”
R: I’m too embarrassed. (to do it)
Q6: What would you do if received a text from her that said this!?
“I’m fed up with messing up at work. I’ve been trying so hard until now… but in the end maybe I’m not suited for this job…”
S: “That’s not true! You can do anything! Even if you made some mistakes, you can’t give up! I’ll work hard with you, so just keep trying harder!”
R: “It’s okay to feel angry now. If you don’t talk it out, you’ll only feel worse. I’m sure your superiors just want to help you grow.”
Q7: Where would you go on your first date? Tell us your plan!
S: Sightseeing -> Yokohama -> First we’ll go shopping and then see a movie. Once the sun goes down, I’ll surprise her by taking her to Yokohama’s Red Brick Warehouse!!
R: Dinner -> An izakaya I go to often -> A fancy French restaurant would be nice too, but I’d prefer eating sanma no oshio yaki (salted grilled fish) together.
Q8: You’re an hour late meeting up with your date! She is upset, what do you tell her?
S: I’m late because while I was on my way to meet you, a yummy came out and I had to defeat it.
R: I wouldn’t have a choice but to say I’ll be careful not to be late next time.
S: Oh, well since I’d probably be giving a granny a piggyback ride, I’d be late too, so we’d get there at the same time!
R: I’d go home. (probably out of sadness thinking she forgot him/the date)
Q10: Valentine’s day present! Besides chocolate, I’d be happy with this!
Q11: As a thank you for 2011, besides chocolate, tell us what you want to say to your fellow acting friend!!
Shu -> Ryon: Since starting OOO 1 year ago, you’ve taught me so much. I’ll give you my heart.
Ryon -> Shu: I don’t have to say anything, he’ll know. <3
Q12: “If this person is your boyfriend, you’ll definitely be happy!” Of your fellow actors, tell us who you’d recommend!!
Shu -> Iwanaga Hiroaki: He is extremely earnest (that’s a fact) you can really rely on him
Ryon -> Shu: When I went to his house one time, he was remodeling it and I think it was the only room that smelled like girl’s perfume. If you (Shu) become a dad, I think you should make a house for Manda too. (T/N Yeah… I know the response is super weird… but… yep….I don’t even know. Sorry, if I get a better translation, I’ll edit it)
