Oil price rises 📈 And we see more and more Contracts getting signed these days. #Noble Corporation announced yesterday that the Company and certain subsidiaries of #RoyalDutchShell have agreed to amend the existing long-term contracts on three #ultradeepwater #drillships. In the current, challenging environment for #offshore exploration and production projects. The contract amendments pertain to the #NobleBully2, #NobleGlobetrotter1 and #NobleGlobetrotter2 , which are operating under 10-year term contracts that commenced in April 2012, July 2012 and September 2013, respectively. http://ift.tt/2hhf24K

The #Orlan #platform is being used to develop the southwestern flank of the main Chayvo zone from offshore. This reinforced-concrete substructure can easily withstand pressure from gigantic ice ridges that can reach as high as a six story building. Installation of the Orlan platform was completed in July 2005 and #drilling operations commenced in December 2005. #Offshore processing facilities are minimal, with a full well stream sent to shore for further processing at the Chayvo Onshore Processing Facility. Drilling operations on the Orlan platform were completed with a total of 21 wells drilled. Successful delineation of the #Alta discovery Injection and production tests carried out on appraisal well 7220/11-3 AR show that the Alta discovery has good flow and reservoir properties. The well also indicates communication with the discovery well that was drilled in 2014. The Alta discovery was made in 2014 in production licence 609 on Loppa High in the #BarentsSea❄️🌊 where #LundinNorway is the operator. Well 7220/11-3 AR was drilled by the semi-submersible Leiv Eiriksson rig. The rig will now proceed to drill the Neiden prospect situated to the north in the same production licence (PL609), before it continues on to the Filicudi prospect in PL533. Lundin Norway has options for up to six additional wells. #LeivEiriksson is a winterised #drillingrig that can operate in the Barents Sea year-round. http://ift.tt/2gxyjiN

The #Njord field development concept includes a floating steel platform, Nord A, with an integrated deck with #drilling and processing facilities and living quarters. #Oil from Njord has been exported through a pipeline to the Njord Bravo storage vessel. The vessel has an oil storage capacity of 110,000 cubic metres, and is anchored to a tower buoy, which in turn is attached to the seabed by an eight-point mooring system. The oil has been transferred from Njord Bravo to an oil tanker for transportation to the market. In June 2016 Njord Bravo was disconnected from the buoy and brought to shore. Evaluations are currently underway as to what storage solution to choose for the next production phase at Njord. http://ift.tt/2fRtj5a

UK #NorthSea operator #IthacaEnergy is gearing up to start production from its #Stella #offshore field. The #Ithaca operated Greater Stella Area is located in the heart of the Central Graben area of the Central North Sea, on the UK Continental Shelf 🇬🇧 It is an area surrounded by various large producing fields, predominantly operated by the Majors, and numerous undeveloped discoveries. Presenting its quarterly results on Monday, the company said its production for the first nine months of the year was 9,585 barrels of oil equivalent per day, better than the 9.000 boepd it had expected to achieve. #Offshore accommodation vessel operator #Prosafe has struck a deal to acquire two new-build units from Oslo-listed #AxisOffshore.
