I’ve seen a lot of people say they are disappointed because the girls didn’t actually go feral and crazy out there because of how pit girl played out but like did you not watch the show? They ostracised Jackie and made her sleep outside which lead to her death, most of them tried to sexually assault and kill Travis, They got really into the first hunt and likely would have killed Nat if they caught her, They stood and watched Javi, a 12 year old kid drown when he was screaming for help so they could eat him, they still took part in hunts, they essentially tortured a disabled man and forced him to stay alive in the most inhumane conditions,even though most of them didn’t think he was guilty, they chose to take part in ritualistic cannibal feasts when it wasn’t necessary and the only thing that stopped them from spiralling into group psychosis during the second winter was that they had a real chance at rescue that grounded most of them back in reality. It’s like Shauna wrote in her journal “we all lost our fucking minds” she wasn’t wrong, things were just more nuanced because not everyone had a role in the active violence but everyone was complicit.
