Star Wars season, eh?
Got a bunch of new notebooks recently. They are so pretty! <3

Jup, it's pretty here.
Daily Notes: Six
I started working on a cute little thing that I had in my mind for a long time. Let’s call it… „Project Nimbus“. I’m not 100% ready to speak about it yet - but I couldn’t resist to post a small work-in-progress and far from final teaser:
Yup, it’s an app. Nope, I’m not going to say more. But feel free to come up with some ideas what it could be :)

I'm now tracking my Netrunner decks and purchases on GitHub. Yes, I'm a total nerd.

Mossy stones in a forest. I encountered these beautiful ones during a hike near the Austrian border today. I don't know why, but I find the sight of it super soothing.
Daily Notes: Four
A rainy day and not much going on. Well, except of the whole solar system GOING COMPLETELY NUTS in „Nemesis Games“ (see Daily Notes: One). Seriously, though, I have a hard time bringing myself to write today’s notes because I really want to keep on reading. Every chapter of this book ends on a cliffhanger. It’s crazy. No wonder this story is turned into a TV series (I’m still hoping they don’t mess it up…).

„The Last of Us“ LP looks so great and I really, really want it. It’s a shame that I don’t have turntables at home. Oh, well.
Daily Notes: Three
Just a few quick notes, since I’m not feeling super well today. First up: Some travel updates. We spend the day in Salzburg and oh boy, there were a billion tourists (us included, obviously…). I was actually quite relieved to be back at our little camp out in the bavarian wilderness. Here’s not much going on and I like it that way. I have enough bustling streets and action back at home in Berlin and don’t need that right now. Still, I think we’ll return to Salzburg sometime next week as I’m quite interested in the „E.A.T - Experiments in Art and Technology“ exhibition at the Museum der Moderne.

There is a new expansion for the superb strategy game „Endless Legend“ coming and that makes me super happy. Amplitude, the studio behind the game also announced that they will announce something (wtf? marketing in 2015, I guess?) at Gamescom. But whatever it is, I’m pretty sure it will be quite good. This studio earned all my trust and respect last year with two phenomenal releases (one being Endless Legend, obviously, and the other Dungeon of the Endless).

Salzburg has strange, rubber doors. It’s wired.

Bavaria was quite dramatic today:

I tried out two new iOS games: TEN and OLO. Both are (local) multiplayer games that are best suited for a tablet or a big phone. OLO is a fun little physics game, where you and your opponent flick little balls around a playing field. If your ball stays in the score area of your opponent, you gain a point. TEN is Tic Tac Toe on steroids – and thus a little bit more involved. You are playing not only on one field, but on nine (!) at the same time. There is a nice bundle on the App Store with both games - you should check it out!

Speaking of iOS games: I stumbled across „Sputnik Eyes“ this morning. It looks really cute AND is puzzle game! So I'm totally giving it a try once it's finally released in August.

Alright, let's try something new. From now on I'm going to update this blog on a daily basis. I know it sounds ridiculous (especially given the fact that there have been super long pauses between my posts in the past) but I really want to write more in order to work through my thoughts, ideas and interests. I'm not 100% sure about the format yet, but I think it will be mostly short blips of texts and occasionally some pictures. A bit like blogging in the old days, when this medium was mainly used as a personal diary. Sounds good? I think it does! So let's get to it.

I finished reading „The Martian“ yesterday. What an entertaining book! Yes, it's basically NASA propaganda - but hey, that's the kind of propaganda I can get behind. Highly recommended. The best part of finishing the book, though, is starting „Nemesis Games“ by James S.A. Cory today. It's the fifth book in the „The Expanse“ series and I'm super psyched for it. The series is an all-time favorite of mine and I can't wait to dive back into this world.
Ui.

I always wanted to host a local multiplayer video-game party, but until recently never managed to do so. I have a lot of friends who are somewhat skeptical (and/or unexperienced) when it comes to this from of digital entertainment and it took quite some convincing to do in order to bring them all together for one night of video-games.
But boy, was it worth it!
We played through the whole Sportsfriends collection (Barabariball, Super Pole Riders and Hokra) and a bit of Towerfall. After some practice rounds we started a little tournament (yes, we even had prices!). The emotional investment was already high before – but the added level of competition made it even more crazy. By the end of it my voice was completely gone from all the shouting and whooping. And everyone, it seemed, was physically exhausted - even though we were merely pushing buttons the whole evening.
It was glorious. 10/10. Would lose my voice again.
This little book by @repoghost arrived the other day. It's so beautiful! <3
So much love for such a little game. #threes
