Hey ya’ll! Howzit with everyone?

Sorry I haven’t spoken in...ages...I’m really not on tumblr much anymore. 😅

So apparently Killing Stalking ended! Did not think that would happen this season!!!! I also don’t have the faintest idea of anything that went down for the ending either. I’m SEVERAL chapters behind, I ran out of coins on Lezhin months ago and then just didn’t refill it cuz I was trying to cut back on spending on unnecessary things at the time. And I’m still trying to stay spoiler-free because I would still like to read it myself when I have some time but I catch glimpses of scenes on my dash ever so often.

Apparently the house caught on fire? XD And Seungbae’s back and broke is arm, I think? And Bum’s old crush is still around? And Sangwoo either ain’t doin too hot near the end or possibly DIED...I DUNNO? It’s a bit to ponder on!

But yeah I kinda just wanted to say hi and see how the fanbase was doing. And if the ending was really heartbreaking and you need a hug I can virtually be there for that hug even though I know jack shit what happened right now!

Also still got some ks comic ideas and art floating in my head so hopefully in the next month or so I can work on them. (one of them being a summary of the ks fandom from what I’ve observed over the years...it’s been in my head for a while heheheh)

Anyway I hope everybody’s doing well and just know I’m still lingering around! Lots of love! ❤️

HI!!!

Sorry I haven’t been posting anything recently, I feel like I should be talking more? Especially since there’s so many of you guys now? And I keep getting ideas for ks comics but then I don’t draw them when I should and I feel bad because it’s usually something based off the latest chapter and I want to make it BEFORE the next update because it’s usually a joke based of my speculations for the next chapter...but then it doesn’t happen and then the update comes and I’m just like

Well SHIT, is there any point in making it now??

I haven’t even read the recent chapter yet or been in the tag (or just being on tumblr as much as I used to) so I have no idea what’s going on.

I’m just working a lot and tired a lot and thought I was out of an art funk but apparently I’m still in it? and...I dunno I just feel bad and like I need to apologize...so I’m sorry.

Leave it to Koogi for keeping the theme of “petty, superficial women” running.

Like your daughter is missing and you’re talking about how she wears fake nails because YOU think her fingers were “ugly”? As if that information does anything to help the investigation??

And her saying that they’re a “happy well off family” and the emphasis on Jieun’s prettiness kinda implies that she doesn’t really know her daughter at all to me.

Kwak seems suspicious … I wonder what’s going on. Is he thinking Seungbae is the culprit? Or is he willing to give Seungbae another chance because Sangwoo actually fits Jieun’s boyfriend type and maybe despite his awful ways Seungbae might be onto something?

Or … What if Kwak actually knows everything about Sangwoo and is covering him? But if that’s the case, why point out the thing about Jieun’s type? Mmh …

I don’t think he suspects Seungbae of being the culprit – I think we saw that panel because Kwak was remembering how he “chose” Sangwoo over Seungbae in that moment, and now he’s reconsidering.

But still, “easy on the eyes” is such a vague thread to grab onto! It would have been more persuasive, and easier to believe Kwak’s actually onto something, if he’d noticed that the boyfriends all kind of resemble each other and Sangwoo fits that physical pattern too.  But whatever, now it’s getting clearer how Seungbae will be pulled back into the action, at least!

Well, maybe he just said ‘easy on the eyes’ but in his head, Kwak’s analysis went a bit deeper than that. He probably didn’t let out too much because he wouldn’t want to make Sangwoo a suspect so easily, since he does care about him and he probably even avoided looking too deep into his parents’ death case because he feared to find out things about Sangwoo he didn’t want to know. In chapter 1 (or 2?) Kwak seems to know full well what are Seungbae’s concerns about that case even before he fully explains himself, so I think he purposefully decided to not label Sangwoo as a suspect despite he had evidence of his potential involvement in that murder.

It must be hard for him to recognize that Seungbae might be right about Sangwoo.

this is the most heartbreaking scene in this chapter for me. sangwoo can’t accept the reality that bum truly loves him. Cuz He lived with a mother who acted like a loving person to him and kept repeating “I love you” to him with a kind smile when all she felt about him was an absolute hatred

My main concern is once the purge happens is how posting KS content will go? In terms of discussions or reactions, especially since we’re in a season where there’s been a lot of sexual content happening. If we want to discuss or react to a sex/sexual scene I don’t know if they’ll flag them and immediately remove them? I haven’t noticed any of my posts being flagged (yet) and I’m curious how it is for everyone else? And what everyone is planning to do?

koogi did a great job imo in showing how two people can have similar experiences (sexual abuse) but express that trauma in a different way. bum is practically hypersexual despite how much he’s been hurt and uses sex as a comfort, while sangwoo doesn’t seem to actually enjoy it deep down and seeks that control to spite his mother. i know people have conflicting opinions on how bum comforted sangwoo last ch. but it was the most realistic thing bc both of them are so bad at actually talking it out

I absolutely agree!I don’t really understand the complaints about Sangwoo’s past when it’s such a perfect, opposite parallel to Bum’s situation.You may not like how things are developing and that’s fine, but it’s kind of unfair to accuse an author of bad writing just because you were expecting something else from her story. I think Koogi is doing a great work with Season 3, actually. I doubt her goal has ever been to show a victim’s way out of abuse or anything like that. I think the point is more like, challenging the reader’s values by giving a rather impartial point of view: she never forces the reader to take a side (if a side has to be taken at all) you’re free to empathize with any character or not empathize with them at all, and she treats everyone’s traumas as equally important and worth of attention.This way, it’s basically impossible to detect a true villain™ because every single important character is both a culprit and a victim to a certain extent.I think this is where most of the fandom discourse around ‘teams’ is rooted.A work where there is no clear moral direction is destabilizing. It forces the reader to analyze every single piece of the puzzle and put them together, but the resulting image is different depending on which pieces you take and how you combine them together.Most people have their points and they’re probably right in at least one aspect of this story, but due to the lack of moral direction, people feel the need to find the direction themselves and since it clashes depending on how you analyze Koogi’s impartial narrative, it causes debate and a need to find the ‘true analysis’ that doesn’t really exist. There are analyses that are more likely to be correct and those that are more likely to be uncorrect, but no analysis can be considered ultimately, 100% correct because interpretations that apparently clash together may be both considered correct and true depending on which facts/POV/narrative level they’re based on. 

Long story short, Koogi is an amazing author and I think the fact that this Fandom is filled with debate (despite how bothering and annoying it can get) is a proof of it.

Depressing Theory

What if, Sangwoo kills Bum before his birthday. Therefore not knowing about his gift, which possibly might be rings. And after killing Bum, he finds the rings, and maybe a love note or something with it, and just completely breaks down. And than decides to take his own life.

And that’s how it ends….

Tbh I’m afraid this is what will gonna happen and I would be disappointed if the story ended like this.

This season is longer than the last 2 seasons and I’m afraid that koogi is planning to end the story for all in this season

It seems I’ve agitated some people with my post regarding Bum’s classmate. I’m gonna sit here and clear that up. This is solely my opinion and take, so chill out before you start cracking your knuckles.

First off!

They both shared abusive pasts that they bonded over. That’s a good thing. However, Bum, being a high-school aged boy with a rough childhood and little social skills, took their interactions more seriously than she obviously did. I’m not saying Bum didn’t do anything wrong. He spread rumors of them being an item when they weren’t. Not great, but not the worst. What I’d like to address here is her reaction and attitude.

Bum wrote her a letter to try to sort out what happened, and she ignored him completely. She iced him out after her parents divorced. Bum thought they had an actual bond, but once the bruises faded, their “friendship” faded too. This is the catalyst. Bum kept his cool for as long as he could, until she told him she didn’t read it at all, but instead tore it up and laughed it off. Bum never reached out for companionship, and the one time he did, he was humiliated.

We could chalk this up to high-school antics and bullying, but it shows later on in her life that she’s simply selfish. Good past or bad past, she’s selfish and aggressive. She apologizes to Bum at the café, but instantly asks if she still hates her. She turns that apology around to put the spotlight on herself. She continues to act in a selfish and toxic way throughout the next chapter too.

We also can’t forget the ordeal with Jieun telling Bum to kill himself, which in turn triggered him into his stabby episode. It could be said that if Bum hadn’t been attacked by his classmate, Jieun might not have been killed (at least at Bum’s hand!)
