“That’s a shame, things being metal is a good thing. Like that ‘Spider-Man’ guy who climbs buildings with no rope, throwing stars and like… whatever else is the opposite of Ultimate Frisbee.” Max replied, looking at her cabinmate. She didn’t spend much time in her cabin. She had put the few things she brought to camp away and spent most nights out in the woods. She hadn’t got to know any of them that well but it usually took her a while to warm up to people anyway. “Oh, I would dream of doubting your s’mores skills.” Max smiled slightly. She wasn’t sure she’d had them before so she nodded. “Sure, I’ll try. Then I can get into a mess and eaten by a bear.”
“Well, at least we can agree that ultimate Frisbee is totally lame,” Kitty nodded. “We have one thing in common.” It was a start. She grabbed the chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker from her stash, assembling them together beside the fire. Kitty held the marshmallow to the flames until it started burning the edges. "Voila. A perfect s’more with the right amount of burnt parts,” she explained, adding the pieces together. She began to hold the finished s’more out to the other girl, but paused to add a disclaimer. “Just so we’re clear, I take no responsibility if a bear does eat you. I’ll actually pretend that this never happened and say I never saw you.”
