Jodi Sta. Maria is finally back on primetime and on tonight's episode of Pangako Sayo, she was PHENOMENAL!

#BARTHIA = life after TTC (based on a conversation with @heartPAMm .. ) 

ETO YUN EH! :))

Nagpakasal na sina Bart at Sophia, kaya lang naghirap na sila kasi nabankrupt ang The Toy Company for some reason. Pero kahit ano daw yung mangyari hindi nila susukuan yung isa't isa..

Kaya para makaiwas sa kahihiyan, (at siguro sa mga empleyadong humahabol sa kanila dahil nawalan ng trabaho) lumipat sila ng tirahan, nagtago sila. Napadpad sila sa bukid, dun sa siguradong walang nakakakilala sa kanila at nagpalit sila ng pangalan. Sina Daniel at Tina Reyes na sila ngayon. Pero syempre, pag sila sila lang hindi maiiwasan na Bart at Sophia yung tawagan nila.. 

Masaya naman sila dun sa bukid.. tahimik yung buhay nila, lagi silang magkasama, walang problema, kaya lang kailangan din nila ng hanapbuhay.. Si Sophia tumatanggap ng labada paminsan-minsan.. si Bart naman, sumali sa military, para na rin daw maibalik yung naapakan nyang dignidad simula nung nagumpisang bumagsak yung TTC.

Kaya madalas hindi sila magkasama at laging sabik sa isa't isa. Nagka-baby din sila. Si Bart excited pag nakakauwi. Kaya ayun.. sa hirap o ginhawa.. magkasama man o hindi. Happy sila. BARTHIA FOREVER!! :))

The Finale: Preliminary reactions

Not too many surprises in this episode. I was just waiting to see how exactly everything would play out. And right now, I just have:

This was an excellent way to end the show. No big explosions or unnecessary conflicts (they used those cliches in the past episodes), just the resolution of all the loose ends.

I had hoped that all the guest stars would show up again but that would have been logistically challenging so a montage of flashbacks was good enough. And I was so happy to see Kevin, Bruce, Bobby, and Amelita greet Anna in Heaven.

The last few scenes were a nice touch, parallel to the first few scenes of the pilot showing how everything has come full circle.

(Though I expected Sophia to have someone beside her in that bed!)

All the major characters were accounted for (even Jessuka. Ugh, I will never ever like her and I wish her screentime went to Barthia instead). The shipper in me wishes there was a longer Barthia scene but I think it was handled just right. After all, the ship was never the focus of the show anyway.

All in all, a very touching and well-balanced ending to one of the best shows I’ve ever seen on Philippine television.
