04/28/2020 - Starting my devo journal with the book of Luke.
I got accepted as Data Scientist scholar in SPARTA, an online course by the Department of Science and Technology and Development Academy of the Philippines. With that, I am planning to buy an ipad for my digital journals since I can no longer bring a bundle of notebooks and pens to my workplace anymore.
I am also planning to start vlogging, might record my journals, tech reviews, app reviews and stuff. In any case, you may want to check out my youtube channel and subscribe, tho I haven’t posted any content yet. Please, help me reach at least a hundred subs!!! ♡
I know, it hasn’t been a while. It’s been 2 years!!!
And no, I am not planning to deactivate my blog because tumblr’s my first love. And whatever happens to me, I still find my way here. Over the years, I’ve been trying to post some blogs, and I literally have tons of stories to share that are currently on draft. SO, what really happened to me? And, what am I really doing next?
2018: The busiest year of my life, so far.
I became a Class Mayor (Class President)
Who would have thought? Well, maybe my good classmates who voted for me. It was really hard, since I have to attend several meetings, argue with other officers (lol), do my assignments in our Thesis, and individual reports all at once. I must admit tho, it was an unforgettable experience. Specially, when we planned to have a Farewell Party. I thought of a way to thank my classmates through giving them special awards. Mehehe! And the rest is a history.
The most controversial Thesis: Our Thesis
From our professors arguing whether our thesis is Economics or Psychology to defending the spelling and meaning of assymetric asymmetric. We were candidate for Best Thesis, and I still and forever believe that our thesis is. I do not want to give my sentiments about this anymore, tho. Anyways, we did an Experimental Analysis and it was the most difficult yet fulfilling report in my life. I’m an Economics Major for everyone’s info, and research reports are nearly always our breakfast during college.
Coffee Table Book
Since I am the Program Planning Head in our Local Church (I have mentioned this before, or did I?), I was assigned to do the Coffee Table Book as Souvenir Program of our Church’s Centennial Anniversary. The Coffee Table Book includes Greetings, Messages and Photos of Sponsors and Members. Tho, I am the only one who did the entire Book (yes, you read it right), from layout, photo gathering, paginations, coordination with Printing, etc. I’m already touching up the 135 pages and by the time the lockdown will be lifted, I guess we can already have this printed. I have no sort of allowance or fee in doing this, btw.
Church’s Centennial Anniversary & Gala Night
From planning, program flow, execution, decorations, printing to hosting. Why is it so hard to say NO? Gaahhhh. I planned this Gala Night to highlight the commitments of our members, so it was like sort of Awards Night. Anyways, I won as most photogenic that night. You agree?
Youth’s Year-end Party
Our theme that year was “I can be who I want to be” so I and my boyfriend chose to be Snow White and Prince Charming. Considering the days I’ve been busy with the Anniversary and Gala Night, probably we were not able to buy our costumes. Having about 2 days before the event, we decided to just make our own costume. But, unfortunately, we did not won as best dressed whatsoever. At least we were nominated.
Okay so imagine these events happening in my life all at once. I’m glad, I’m still alive!
Special Update regarding my weight loss journey:
Yes, I did it... Back in 2017 - 2019. Since, I started to work last year, I felt that I already gained weight again. But I can say that my routine was very very very effective.
Anyways, I might put up a Youtube Channel. In any case, please please please do subscribe here. I currently don’t have any content yet, but I might upload my weight loss journey if I did get a hundred subs this week. I am planning to upload personal (Love life, work, etc.), reviews (techs and foods), Travel (hopefully), and my Bullet Journals (Spreads and Devo Journals). What do you think?
It’s been a while year since I wrote a blog. Wow! Time is really flying so fast. And now that I have some free time, I’ve decided to start a new blog series – My 2018 Highlights! *Tadaaaa* I know it’s a bit late since it’s already August which means I have already skipped 7 months!! But, I’ll still be starting from January so you’ll know what actually happened to me. I’m glad that I finally got the chance to share a little bit more about me. Because I felt so alone lately. Haha. And I just wanted to be really really really active again here. I guess this will be a good reminder for me to always keep up with my blog. Aaaaaand, I will try a new approach to my blog so I will always have to update it. Wish me luck! Hehe.
***I’ll be skipping our New Year Celebration.***
So okay, here are my January highlights. Gosh, I’m so excited!!!
JANUARY 7, 2018 - Glen & Chris’ Wedding
It’s not an ordinary wedding day. Remember the wedding of my boyfriend’s sister last year where I took part as a bridesmaid? This year, my boyfriend’s brother also got married. It was held in Rave Rainforest Park in Pasig. But, this time I was not a bridesmaid. Okay? So what’s the catch? The catch is -- I was the Emcee for their wedding ceremony! How cool is that? It was my first time and it was really self-fulfilling. Although at first, I was so hesitant to agree when they asked me because I’ve never got to speak in front of so many people (except in our church) and host for big events plus I was having a rough voice due to colds. But since I have no choice and it was really hard for me to say no, I give in. By the way, that’s my boyfriend above. Isn’t he adorable? Hehe. So what happened during the day? The wedding was so dreamy -- they got a nice venue, beautiful dresses, an engaging reception and of course, some delicious foods. It was also my first time to try different kinds of drinks since they also got a mobile bar. The wedding was perfect and fun. Unfortunately, we haven’t got the chance to explore the park. But still, it was all worth it. And I am very thankful for this couple for trusting and believing in me because I never saw myself to be taking such a big role.
JANUARY 23, 2018 - 4th Anniversary
Of course, it will always be a highlight of my year. Since our wallets have still hung-over over the last Christmas and New Year and since we were into Korean Foods, we decided to celebrate our 4th year Anniversary in Prasada -- a Filipino eat-all-you-can Buffet + Samgyeopsal. The celebration was simple, but the time spent with the person I love was priceless. I realized that I haven’t still introduced my boyfriend, maybe in a few days, I’ll be making an appreciation post about him.
JANUARY 30, 2018 - Travis & Gavin’s Arrival
Last February 2017, a friend of ours from Canada visited us. This year, he came back bringing his cute, 9-year-old son and is also my nephew -- Gavin. It was a highlight because I never knew that this day would be the start of a new friendship, love, and adventure. It was an early birthday gift for me. I can’t wait to share my February highlight so I can properly introduce Gavin and our adventures.
That’s all for my January Highlights. I’ll be sharing my February Highlights in a few days. I really enjoyed writing this blog because I also got the chance to reminisce about the important events in my life. I hope you enjoyed reading it as I am.
Thank God! I finally had time to update my blog. There are a lot of things that happened for the past few months, and I don't know how or where should I start. Anyway, I've got five crazy things to share with you.
1. School Year is totally over! However, vacation for us means internship. We're already planning to apply in NEDA (National Economic and Development Authority), Manila or Pampanga.
2. A final grade of 1011/1000 (1.0/A+) on a Major Subject. This professor is very passionate and indeed, one of a kind. I've learned that the key to a good grade is to read - not just read, but also to understand. To read a hundred articles and papers are worth it. I enjoyed writing minor thesis paper and journals, running regression and analyzing data which are the reason why I loved the subject.
3. Bride's Maid in my Boyfriend's Sister's Wedding. Of course, partnered with my boyfriend. Along with that;
4. I lost weight. The 'Bride's Maid' thing got me motivated to lose some fat. Still have 3 more weeks to achieve my desired waistline. Hehe. But for now, I've lost 1 inch in just one week! I'll make seperate blog entry if my workout works (or if I did achieve the miraculous waistline)
5. New Business. Aside from my truffles, I started to make pastries. I'm planning to start candy/dessert buffet for events and parties. But I'm still on the process of raising capital. Huhu
Hopefully, I can continue to update my blog even for once in a while. I already made a list for what to post for my following entries.
It’s a wonderful day! Today is our midterm examination in one of our major subjects - International Economics. I woke up at 5 AM (total of 4 hours sleep) to continue reading my reviewers and I kinda feel a little light headed right now. I’m going back to dorm later at 10 am because our Midterm exam will start at 5:15 PM and that only means I have plenty of time to review. And yep, I took this little time to update my rotting blog. I’m still waiting for the Pocket Wifi Dad has promised me to buy. Which I badly need. Maybe next week, because I haven’t seen my dad since I got home. For the mean time, I’ll post whenever I have a chance (or whenever I got home).
Our Professor posted our grades (computed without midterm exam grade) last week. Although, it’s quite disappointing but still thankful I passed. It motivates me to aim for an A, please send me some good luck wishes for my Exam! Moment of truth naaaaa!
HOY TAMA NA AKO NG NAHANAP OMG OMG PAKICONGRATS KO BESHIE I MISS YOU HAHAHAHAHA I MISS YOU SO MUCH MWAPS

Last Tuesday, September 20, we are gathered in a Career Talk hosted by GMA news TV. The event started at 8am but we went there at around 12nn which was already session 3 of 4. The host was Ms. Regine Tolentino and there were celebrities like Mikael Daez and Benj Alves who shared their college life, and guest speakers like Mr. Kirk Damasco - a Young Entrepreneur and Brand Developer of Get Blued, Worship Generation and many more, and Ms. Mica Tan - Youngest Millionaire/Millennial Millionaire and President & CEO of MFT Group of Companies.
(photo not mine)
I was very pleased and honored to meet this woman. I haven’t got any selfies with her, tho. Anyway, when Ms. Regine introduced her, I found myself speechless. I was just smiling throughout her talk!
At the age of 13, she began trading stocks. Her journey started when she visit the Philippine Stock Exchange office to look for people who would be willing to teach her how to trade. Where unfortunately, most people turned her down.
“Luckily, there’s this one lady from Regina Capital, a brokerage firm, who took me seriously and walked me through the process of trading,”
It was then she was able to get access to the trading floor. And by the time she turned 20, she built her own company and called it MFT Group of Companies. She was named the ‘Youngest Millionaire’, since at the age of 23, she is already earning Millions. And now 24 years old turning 25.
READ HER STORY HERE
She entitled her talk ‘Heart Broken and Broke’. As she shared that she was heart broken twice by then and was broke knowing she is disappointing her parents. But all of that made her who she is today.
I saw myself in her story. The way she thinks to make money at the very young age, how she tries to engage in different businesses in her teenage life and how her family discouraged her. “Did she just copy my story there? I’m seeing myself in this woman in front of me!”
I wanna be just like Mica Tan. Not to be awarded the 2nd Youngest millionaire, but to be a Mica Tan. A young woman of vision and courage - that’s what I saw in her that I lack. And from then, I know from the bottom of my hypothalamus that I just want to be like Mica Tan. And someday, I know I will be just like her.
“To my fellow entrepreneurs and to those who aspire to be one, I encourage you to take risks. I do things I’m afraid to do. Find your own niche and get better. Surround yourself with people better than you because you’ll learn a lot from them.”
- Maria Francesca “Mica” Tan | MFT Group
These are the things I realized when I was in my dorm last week. I really apologized for being inactive for a week. But I’ll make things up and promise to leave some blog post this week before I get back to my dorm.
i. Can’t live without an Internet Connection. (I’m using Hyperbole) Well to be honest, It was boring when I was in the dorm since there’s no wifi and data signal. But the upside of that is I got to spend my days productively by reading books and lectures. But in my mind, I was like “Para akong sumali sa No Internet Challenge for the whole semester.” Thanks anyway to my Boyfriend who makes my lonely days less boring. (Oh yes I’m sure he’ll read this)
ii. New Environment. Roomies. Bed. Noong unang gising ko sa dorm, “Eto na talaga. Nandito nako. I made it. Rise and shine to your very first hell day!” I was clueless. What to do? Where to eat? Should I take the Bath na? Ang hirap magadjust. No Mommy. No Coffee. And my roomies are not that really approachable as I wish them to be. :(
iii. I miss my mom’s home cook meals. I think that was the hardest part being away from home. One time I called her while I was having my dinner at Mcdonalds’, my voice was shaking and was about to cry realizing how much I miss her. It was really hard being without her. And that’s the time I realized all my mom’s effort. Doon ko mas naappreciate lahat ng ginagawa ng mga magulang ko para samin ng kapatid ko. Ganun naman talaga diba? People don’t notice the things other people do for them until they stop doing them. We don’t appreciate what we have until it’s gone.
But at the end of the day, All of these inspired and motivated me. Because I know, In less than 2 years, It’s all gonna be worth it.

Loving my new washi tapes and gel pens! I can’t get enough of them, so adorable!

Feeling sleepy and tired. Last night, I wasn’t able to sleep. Idk, excess caffeine?

1. Haircut! I promise myself not to cut my hair since I wanted to try different hairstyles with long hair. Yet I always end up with short hairs because I’m such a lazy lad to brush my hair, plus my hair’s super thick. So yeah, I got my mid length hair cut last Saturday and no, I didn’t regret and cry over it. Because I love it!
2. New notebook! 192 pages blank notebook from National Bookstore for only $3.94! (almost Php 190?) I’m planning to use it for my study journals!
3. Boiled Pork in clear broth (Nilagang Baboy) Since it was raining outside, I decided to cook Nilaga to drive the cold away. (Char~) What’s better than a simple soup on a rainy day?
4. No classes. Idk. It makes me happy knowing that I have time to sleep.
5. Made a Theme. I just made a tumblr theme. Yay! Who’s excited? Me!
I’ve been seeing a couple of this lately. And I’ve thought about doing mine. It’s so coooool! So here’s mine! :)
