"I should start signing my letters as Tokito Genya."
Echoes of explosion descending from the night sky above. Despite the overwhelming discomfort they brought to his beloved, Yuichiro personally could not help but adore the extravagant display. A soft hum leaving him as he enjoyed every sensation of exploration, gasping once fingertips tighten their hold on his hair.
It took all he could muster to hold himself back from pressing into the boy beneath him.
Pulled from their kiss, tilting his head to allow genyas kisses to trail up his jawline.
“Genya Tokito.”
“…..”
A sigh. Pressing his forehead to Genyas, he mulled over his words and the rage that did boil under his skin at the wind Hashira’s rash and foolish belief.
“The asshole thinks pushing you away will break your will..”
“He really does not know you well.”
A shiver coursed through Genya as he smiled up at Yuichiro, the name sounding perfect through the other boy's lips. He really did like the sound of it, his name separated from his bastard of a father and attached instead to the boy he'd fallen in love with. He unfurled his fingers from Yuichiro's hair and wrapped his arms around him instead.
"I love it."
Pressing more soft kisses against Yuichiro's face, Genya gave a slight shake of his head when his boyfriend commented on his brother.
"I think he just... still sees me as that little kid he fought to protect. I want him to see me as I am - not a helpless kid, but someone who can fight alongside him. He won't break me. Family doesn't give up on each other. Like you never gave up on Muichiro."
Another splash of color explode across the sky high above Yuichiro’s head. As if to highlight their perfect moment, to dance across the sky in celebration for their quiet moment. He could feel his heart swelling with joy, slipping his tongue again in his mouth. Lapping up the special spot the moment his moan fell from his lips.
Eyes slipping close, his own gasp left his lips when genya took him by his hair. Lightly tugged close to meet his forehead.
“You’re right.. nothing traditional for us would work.. Genya Tokito.”
There’s a crave to pepper him with kisses. But unfortunately that would require yuichiro to pull away and disentangle the grip in his hair and he had no interest in doing so.
“Has things gotten better between you two?”
With Yuichiro keeping him distracted, Genya didn't even taste the bitter bite of the firework exploding overhead, enjoying the taste of his boyfriend's kiss instead - a much more pleasant taste for him. A shiver ran up his spine from the sensation to Yuichiro's tongue teasing and his fingers gripped a bit tighter at the other boy's hair.
It took all he had to keep from arching his body beneath Yuichiro.
"Mm - I do like being called Genya Tokito..." Pulling from the kiss, he bit at Yuichiro's lip before tilting his head to kiss along his jaw. "Call me that again."
At the question about the relationship between him and his brother, Genya gave a sigh. "No. I... I think they're worse. He won't talk to me. Won't even look at me."
It was a rare moment of peace.
To think he, only a year before, could never see himself so deeply attached, let alone in love with someone as special as Genya. To feel love and to be loved by the other man made a sort of hope bloom in his chest. Flow through his veins and reach the tips of his fingers.
He was supposed to die. Bled out, stone cold on the floorboards of his home, with his precious little brother clutching his hand. And now, he was here, laid out on the man who stole his heart.
His laughter made his heart swell but his cheeks puff out when he laughed at him. “Oi, for someone proposing they usually aren’t so casual.”
But his complaint is quickly swallowed in another kiss. This time yuichiro slips his tongue along the roof of his mouth in revenge.
“Hm…. As much as i respect master, the blessings i care more about is Muichiros..”
It was a perfect little moment, Genya thought - a cool summer night, fireworks lighting the sky, with Yuichiro sprawled over him. It wasn't anything like he had in mind for the day he asked Yui to be in his life forever, but it was just the right moment.
He couldn't help giving another laugh as Yuichiro puffed his cheeks, god his boyfriend was cute. Before he could respond back, he felt the other boy close the gap and tease his tongue against the sensitive roof of his mouth. Genya gave a low moan into the kiss, eyes slipping shut for a moment until the kiss broke.
"Usually, it's not a boy proposing to another boy," he pointed out. Soft smile gracing his lips, Genya gripped at Yuichiro's hair lightly and tugged him in so their foreheads touched. "I don't think anything traditional works for us."
A soft hum. "Yeah, Muichiro's more important. After we ask him, I'll send Sanemi a message."
Yuichiro’s form practically melts to conform to every curve of Genya’s frame. Every muscle relax until he was practically a puddle resting upon his beloved. Every gentle tap, every kiss they shared, brought a stupid content smile to the youngers lips.
A soft laugh echos through his ribs at Genya’s words, another soft sigh slips through at the feeling of his hands leaving their trail along his back to slip into his hair. A soft moan hums in his chest, his mouth opening to welcome genyas tongue at the nip of his lower lip. Though it never came, only a question, which caused his eyes to widen.
“W…what?”
“With all my heart.”
This was the best way to spend time, just laying there with Yuichiro and enjoying his boyfriend's company. Though he loved kissing him, Genya would always be happy that Yuichiro was there - he had the good luck to be close to him, to see this relaxed, content side of the hashira. He knew it was the rare few who got to see Yuichiro like this.
Genya considered himself the luckiest that he got to see and love this side of Yuichiro.
It was his turn to laugh as his boyfriend's eyes widened and he leaned in to press the kiss Yuichiro had expected against the other boy's lips after he got his answer.
"Do I need to ask Muichiro or the Master for their blessing first? I know we're still a bit young, but..."

"I can't believe they catboy'd Kaigaku just for me."
Wordlessly, he knew that at the very least Genya was distracted from the bitter taste of fireworks upon his tongue. Hands smooth up the back of his uniform and yuichiro is gasping so softly, shivering from the taps along his spine as he kisses him.
“Then I’ll be kissing you forever, you’re completely doomed I fear, my dear~.” God how he craves to call the other his bride, his wife..
But that is put aside as he drinks in Genya’s presence.
Genya was very much distracted and he was grateful to Yuichiro for providing such a nice distraction. He kept his hands moving, slow paths up and down his boyfriend's back as they kiss more - one kiss after another and another, never tiring of Yuichiro's kisses.
"Doomed to be kissed by someone as beautiful as you sounds like a perfect fate to me." Genya's hands left Yuichiro's back to slip into the other boy's hair as he nipped at his lower lip. "Still want to marry me?"
He’s so in love. So deeply, so stupidly, in love with the boy in his hand. A pleased hum escapes him as that kiss press to the sensitive spot just below his ear. A spot only a lover would know, a spot only Genya knew. Allowing his body to be pulled as Genya leaned back, pulled until he laid ontop of his beloved.
“Hmm pretty sure. You know, until I find someone who loves me more.” His words are in jest. Pressing a kiss down his jawline, ending at his lips.
Even just having Yuichiro there with him helped ease his nerves and help distract him from the acidic and bitter taste of the fireworks. His hands slide up the back of Yuichiro's top, teasing along his spine as his boyfriend kissed him.
"Impossible. You'll never find anyone who loves you more than I do."
"Blegh."
He does not like summer fireworks.
"I really don't like this part of festivals either..." His vision was practically taken over by burst after burst of color, a migraine already forming.
"Next time a festival comes along, we should go somewhere they don't do fireworks." He's going to just tug Kaigaku close and he can tuck his face against the older man's shoulder.
It’s childish, how brightly the Hashira grins while his far smaller body settles in his boyfriend’s lap.
“I suppose I’ll just have to keep your taste buds distracted tonight.”
He's more than happy to keep Yui in his lap, nuzzling his nose against the other's jawline. Genya smiles softly at his boyfriend, unable to help himself when Yuichiro smiled so brightly at him.
"You're very good at that. Sure you won't get tired of kissing me?"
Fingertips curl within his locks. Gently tugging at the strands of hair while lifting his head to meet his boyfriends. Humming at the feeling of genyas nose against his jawline.
“I could never get tired of kissing you.”
A soft groan escapes him at the tug at his hair and he presses a kiss at the sensitive spot just under Yuichiro's ear. He leans back to pull Yuichiro on top of him, just holding him there and settling with him.
"You sure about that? Never? As long as we're together?"
