L.E.S. Is More
Wow. It’s been weird DJing again, but I think I am into it again. I guess the important thing to me is to keep doing parties and events that allow me to be me. Most DJs don’t get to do that these days. After being in Japan for awhile and really focusing on their love for what they do (as far as the DJs go) it really made me analyze how I play and what I have been doing for a long time. So one of the contributing factors of me quitting for awhile was based off my experiences in Japan amongst many others. It feels good to be DJing a little bit again, but I am taking DJing as I take my photography and try not to take the title. Though I give these interests my full attention, they are not my job. Which is funny to think about because I definitely don’t give my real job my full interest.
I will be DJing with the man about town, Kunal Merchant this Friday at his new weekly event. Looking forward to it.
As far as inspiration goes, how do you top this? All your life you have played a man's music and your passion has always been to celebrate said man's music. And then the man takes notice of your efforts in his honor and pays tribute to you by supporting your shows. While the circle may be complete, it's gifts keep giving. This video single handedly shows the impact that DJ Spinna has had on soul music. Not only an amazing dj and producer, but he also considers Stevie Wonder as one of his biggest fans. Bravo.
when the night falls, oh yeah. tons of preggo vampires! nice one @chromeo

Did you see the new #WTT album cover? Genius.
UPDATE: Since posting, my friend Rahat, wrote the following profound statement about this photo:
"The more interesting aspect of this cover isn't the technique, but rather that two historically ego-centric artists have been able to forge their identities (at the potential of losing their own) for the good of music."
Self-Explanatory. KD is a beast...on any court.
Avion paid $0 for their inclusion in Entourage, and obviously, they are killing the game. Doug Ellin has to be a shareholder.
