Chen Chen, fromĀ āCraft Capsule: On Becoming a Pop Star, I Mean, a Poetā
[text ID:Ā For years I believed poetry was the only place where I could be all my selves, any self. I wrote, trying to answer the question, āHow can a poem hold the myriad meās and realms and loves and ferocities and shards and velocitiesāthis whole multiverse that the life cannot, yet?ā But can a poem do this? A book of poems? Is poetry a place?Ā
I am a poet because I ask poetry to do too much, and then it does it.]
#that is the most venomous native lizard in north america
so i was compelled to look that up and
A) the most venomous lizard in north america is called the Gila Monster
B) Iām no expert obviously but that boy there sure looks like a Gila Monster
C) from the Gila Monster wikipedia article, here is the funniest doctor that ever lived:
"I have never been called to attend a case of Gila monster bite, and I don't want to be. I think a man who is fool enough to get bitten by a Gila monster ought to die. The creature is so sluggish and slow of movement that the victim of its bite is compelled to help largely in order to get bitten."
āDr. Ward, Arizona Graphic, September 23, 1899
āIām ninety-six years old. Ā Iād rather just take a pill and get it over with. Ā Whenever I tell that to my wife, she pretends to slap me in the face. Ā But Iām ready to go. Ā And Iād like it to be sudden. Ā Iāve had a good run. Ā I was lucky enough to share my life with someone. Ā Sheās ninety now. Ā Weāve had a lot of time together. Ā We have seven grandchildren. Ā Eight great-grandchildren. Ā But there are just so many things I canāt do anymore. Ā I have the money. Ā I have the time. Ā Just not the ability. Ā Whenever I walk, everything hurts. I enjoy sitting here in the park. Ā I think about all the friends that Iāve lost. Ā People come talk to me. Ā Time passes by. Ā But Iām ready. Ā Iām not scared of it. Ā Iād like my soul to go to wherever the souls go.ā (Barcelona, Spain)
āWhat, what, what, WHAT!?ā the actress recalls thinking. āBecause it comes out of fāking nowhere. Iām flabbergasted. Absolutely never saw that coming.ā [ā¦] āI cried,ā Clarke says. āAnd I went for a walk. I walked out of the house and took my keys and phone and walked back with blisters on my feet. I didnāt come back for five hours. Iām like, āHow am I going to do this?āā [ā¦] āI genuinely did this, and itās embarrassing and Iām going to admit it to you,ā Clarke says. āI called my mom andāā Clarke shifts into a tearful voice to perform the conversation as she reenacts the call: ā'I read the scripts and I donāt want to tell you what happens but can you just talk me off this ledge? It really messed me up.ā And then I asked my mom and brother really weird questions. They were like: āWhat are you asking us this for? What do you mean do I think Daenerys is a good person? Why are you asking us that question? Why do you care what people think of Daenerys? Are you okay?ā And Iām all: āIām fine! ⦠But is there anything Daenerys could do that would make you hate her?āā ā Emilia Clarke, Entertainment Weekly
DAENERYS TARGARYEN DESERVED BETTER.

I..I always assumed he had a chip in his tooth D:
āUnder normal circumstances, humans should have continued to evolve as the greatest creatures upon this earth, but we were actually regressing. A rotten world. Politics, law, education⦠Was there anybody around who could correct this world? But someone had to do it.ā

āEasterā is a movable event, calculated by the relative positions of sun and moon, an impossible way of fixing year by year the anniversary of a historical event, but a very natural and indeed inevitable way of calculating a solar festival. These changing dates do not point to the history of a man, but to the hero of a solar myth.
