Deltapaint - part 4
Been a while so here are ten(na) drawings instead of the usual five :3
togore and his new baby sibling
Comparing Haymitch and Katniss' narrative styles is so funny to me because he's a yapper and she's a gatekeeper. He drops more lore on D12 in the first two chapters of SOTR than she does in the entire trilogy.
Haymitch is like "Yeah, so this person is related to this person who's related to this person and things are this way because of this and this thing actually came from here and this person is actually my best friend and also here's this extra tidbit of random info cause all my lore dropping comes with it's own additional bonus content and all my unnecessary commentary."
And Katniss is over here like "Tf do I care for if y'all know all the lore of District 12? I'm talking about my beautiful husband's beautiful eyelashes."
I absolutely love this

JOURNAL 3 BLACKLIGHT EDITION REVEALED! (Part 1)
Today’s a special day! Today is not only Father’s Day, but Alex and Ariel Hirsch’s birthday! Let’s celebrate by cracking open your copy of Journal 3, prepping your blacklight and invisible ink pens, and jotting down everything here in the special edition so you can have a copy for yourself without resorting to eBay or shady second-hand Craigslist deals!
I was lucky number 02149 to get a copy of the special edition of Journal 3. Well, lucky as in “I could afford to buy it and pre-ordered it back in March the exact day I heard about it going on sale.” Still, I am PSYCHED to share this with everyone! Admittedly I didn’t take photos of every single page – only the ones with black-light effects that were more than ink spatters. Some I had to take [kinda big] pictures of individually, to be able to read the text properly, and others were multi-page spreads that I couldn’t resist capturing in their beautiful glowy glory.
Of course I’ll be captioning them all for you, in case you can’t download/read them. Also, there’s a few secret codes in here! But did you really expect anything less? Also also, this is a 9 page word document (not counting pics), so I’m splitting it up into 3 parts. Especially considering the size of these pictures.

sorry if you've answered this before but what's your process for lining/coloring your art? your lineart has this painterly but organic quality to it that i really love in tandem with your coloring
Honestly I would never consider my lineart to look that way but im glad you think so, thank you!!
I actually dont really have a unique process with my lineart if you're referring to my most recent drawings as they've all been sketches that i just polished up a whole lot. But for my usual stuff, I usually use a textured brush and like to thicken/thin out the linework once im done with it in places where I feel the shadow/light would hit. It gives a lot of variety in the weight of the lineart which i like a lot.
For my coloring I usually just use a lot of layer modes once im done placing colors and hope for the best LOL. I mainly just use a warmish overlay + color mode on top of my final colored layer and sometimes I use a purplish multiply later and erase parts where i think the light would hit then lower the opacity afterwards.
Sorry I couldn't be more detailed with how I do things but I hope my explanation somewhat makes sense :)

A hastily translated book of the Atlantic side chapter. Thanks for sharing the raws @her-majestys-watchdog ! I know the quality isn’t the best and the translation isn’t 100%, but I really wanted to know what it said, so I went ahead and did a quick translation. Sorry I couldn’t read some of the smaller text!
(Thanks for doing the formatting as I read it to you @wisdomoftheshire)
