The only sound perceptible to the ears was the low and heavy breathing of the two who sat but a short distance away. tension filled the room to the brim and she could only turn her head, eyes squeezing shut as she began to wear away at the lower flesh of her lip due to the nervousness that quivered throughout her bones and crawled against her skin. He, however, seemed to be completely at ease, and though she couldn't see him with her eyes, her senses were able to make him out perfectly. golden orbs in which were paralyzing to her kept her frozen in place, heart racing with every inch of space that seemed to diminish as he inched closer little by little. she wasn't sure if her previous act had been a gesture of intentional rejection or if it had been been strictly so she wouldn't fall vulnerably into what she believed to be a facade of some sort. She didn't believe for a moment that any of the words that he preached, as beautiful as they were, had any sort of justification to them. but none of that would matter once she opened her eyes to find his mouth only a tilt away from her own, the heavy pants he breathed caressing her neck and sending shivers down her spine. He knows exactly what he's doing, and so he smirks in response to her timidness, hand barely brushing against her jaw before it falls to lay gently against her neck. she wants to turn away again, and she has the opportunity but her lock on his lips hold her back. Whatever form of defense she had been trying to map out in her mind before, was completely useless, and completely forgotten and her eyes fall hooded as their lips finally collide. She's barely able to think about what it feels like, because the only thing that she can feel is the heavy beat of her heart drumming against her mind, as well as every inch of her body that trembled beneath him and she begins to feel dizzy, in a way, but there was no way any piece of her, consciously nor subconsciously, would want to break their lingering contact. Her arms hang limply at her sides and eventually she gives in, and just as she does so, their lips are ripped apart as he pulls away keeping an eye on her confidently. Finally the thoughts, previously frozen in her mind only moments ago are able to circle once again and the heat in her cheeks is evident and visible by a deep shade of red. for a moment, she can't tell f she's angry, or disappointed, and she's not completely sure at the target of her emotions but before she can even begin to piece together a cohesive thought her body speaks for her. slender arms reaching forward speedily to slap against his cheek leaving her fumbling back to her feet on her way out the door.
