Well... That was a pleasant surprise, gingerly his hand goes to the flower crown giving Macarona a slightly confused look “Have I missed something?” straight to business, but, he’s grateful for the flower crown, really.

Usually when he shuts himself away there’s always someone to come bug him.... Or someone waiting outside the door to repriment him for being anti social.

Oh my, maybe it was wrong of her to make such a friendly approach to him… he was a devil after all! Good gods, she should be bowing!! How terribly disrespectful… Sullivan didn’t talk much about his father, but he seemed like a good enough man?

Straightening herself up she backed away and cleared her throat, flushing pink from embarrassment and bowed her head.

"You didn’t necessarily abandon him, lord Kcalb… it was to keep him safe, wasn’t it? From the war… " War sounded absolutely dreadful.

Thought! He was here to see his granddaughter then? He wasn’t a horrible grandfather at least! And that made Elena smile in the slightest bit… “Maybe we should all have dinner together sometime—… after all we are family, lord Kcalb! You deserve love and respect from us both.”

She was over thinking this, she shouldn't be bowing, or using such terms. It made him uncomfortable, hand gripping at his coat nervously as the conversation continued.

"No, it was not" Kcalbs' words were blunt, letting out a long sigh. "I killed his mother and left him here to rot, at the time I had absolutely no intention of raising a child." he hadn't killed him too though, had he? Sure the thought had crossed his mind all those years ago but instead he had left him here... "While I've changed... At least a little I do not deserve your respect. Or your kindness. if you must call me something just call me Kcalb, or even devil"

His eyes faded to black at her next suggestion, the devil unsure of how to reply. Please excuse him he's currently trying to hide a panic attack., he's even shaking a little, but ignoring it.

"Perhaps you should run that over Sullivan first, I'm unsure of how he would feel about his estranged father coming over for dinner" he was speaking slowly, careful not to show how he was feeling "As well as Kurotsuno, surprised aren't... Nice"

"To be blunt with you Elena, I would not look forward to that at all, for a lot of reasons. But if you really insist on it you can try to change my mind."

He just stares at the invitation for a long moment before reaching out to take it from the hands, where ever he was planning to place it, well he'd rather not wait and find out.

"I've already weakened him to a state where even common demons can kick his ass, I'm sure he's suffering plenty. I'm not interested in joining in on Reficul and your games either if that's what you're getting at"

He doesn't even want to open the invite, just holding it is giving him anxiety.

Was he even going to show up? Probably not. He was just going to whine to Eti about it and not go. Reficul already had him agreeing to one party, and that was that.

Kcalb just ended up raising an eyebrow, gripping at his coat and doing his best not to seem anxious (Although he very much was). In fact he almost felt sorry for him... Almost.

"Satanick, I'm not one for idle chatter, if you have some kind of business than get to it, otherwise I'm busy" what a stingy fellow Kcalb was, but it was true. The less time he spent talking to people, the better. "I care little for what you do with that idiot, nor do I wish to talk about him"

It was Elena’s turn to sweat now! Even if her father-in-law was absolutely adorable at the moment she swung the door wide open for him when she realized exactly who it was! Sweating and maybe even trembling… oh gods, was he nervous too?

"A meeting with lord Satanick, of course! T-That’s what devils do… meet… to talk… "

This was somewhat awkward but… she had been dead for years!! Her memory wasn’t superb at the moment but she basically collapsed on herself and reached out to hug him lightly.

"… You’re Sullivan’s father.. ah, lord Kcalb! I-I’m sorry for not recognizing you earlier I’ve been dead for a while…"

Now to be fair, he was pretty handsome, not that he would ever admit to that, or well much of anything concerning positive factors about himself-

He turned pale as recognition came over her, hand gripping at his coat anxiously- Did she really believe his lie? Hunched over, he was attempting to make himself small, unsure of how to deal with the situations... Social had never been his strong suit.

The hug.... Wasn't really helping either. Tensing up be bit at the inside of his cheek, trying to figure out how to reply. "I'm aware. You died soon after Ol- Kurostuno was born..."

"I'm... Actually here to see her, I didn't except to run into you of all people" Sullivan had photos of him? They were probably old and well... Of a time he was still trying to make up for, although sure he never would.

".... Why are you hugging me, you shouldn't be showing me such respect, even be angry... After all I abandoned Sullivan here, even if it allowed you two to meet I..."

Kcalb had been a shit father and Sullivan grew up estranged, in seperate worlds even... He wonders if he ever mentioned him. Or if he too has forgotten all about him, but...
