Another thing about OFMD that I adore is how when a character starts acting like a racist dickhead, you can be pretty sure they've just put a target on their backs.

Sometimes it's immediate - the pilot immediately set the tone when that racist guy called Frenchie a slave and instantly got a knife through the hand.

But I think it's even more satisfying, almost, when it gets to stew for a bit. The second those British soldiers started singing Hail Britannia in Spanish Jackie'z, and we saw Jackie's face, I knew they were dead men walking.

And isn't that such a wonderful thing? I've never had a show where I know if someone starts being a racist asshole, they're going to get what's coming to them.
