HUGE developments in the big silly baby wearing fluffy pajamas fandom:
Oregon Zoo 05/30/26: This flouf is one of 15 healthy California condor chicks to hatch at our conservation center this season. A new record! #Condorable #KeepCalmAndCarrion
☆tiger☆
my piece for the turbophone! (learned a lot of disturbing facts about seabirds in the process) we had 24 hours to draw from the previous participant's picture, check out the wonderful and unexpected transformations in all the teams!
Happy Pride Month to all of my fellow aces!! 🖤🩶🤍💜
This one resonated with me
American Woodcock demonstrates "distal rhynchokinesis," the ability to flex the end of its bill. This allows it to grab earthworms it encounters when probing in soil. Other shorebirds, including Dunlins & Sanderlings, can bend their bills in this way. 😃
@todaysbird this is so cool! I didn't know they could do that.
It's always something with this funky little guy.
A marbled godwit showing off its rhynchokinesis ability while a couple of willets chill nearby.

I wish every collared dove a very nice day :) I had to battle my scanner and photoshop to get the digital file to even look close to the original and im still not 100% happy with it yeowch !! I'll have prints available on my shop in the next few days!

Free Ornamentation IV. This work is dedicated to the public domain 🐌
I turned them into individual transparent pngs if anyone wants those premade!
(Op lmk if you want me to take this down, I'd totally understand—on the other hand, I'd love to do it for the other public domain pieces you've done if that's ok!)
unauthorized fucking thing!!!!!!
(warning: loud chirping throughout)

it is bird time once again!! only 6 more orders left to go :)
also my mentor helped reintroduce peregrine falcons to the NY/NJ area after we lost our subspecies to DDT so i want everyone to say "thank you peter"
Cunty little thing isnt it
Piebald American robin I saw a couple of weeks ago. Never seen one quite like it! he was very handsome, and entirely occupied looking for bugs in the dirt.
There’s a Tawny Frogmouth chick currently at Zoo Atlanta, and it looks like an adorable (slightly grumpy) cotton ball!
