After visiting the Temple, i went on a hour long boat ride to the island of Koh Pdao, where i stayed the night. We were given a tour of the island then went to see the dolphins which was such an amazing experience.  The CRDtours is a perfect experience for immersing yourself in rural village life.

On the weekend i went on a Cambodian rural development tour. First we went to Sambok Mountain which is a tranquil.  This was basically like hiking i was so tired when i got to the top but the visit at the end was amazing. Our next stop was a Temple which was really nice .

My Counterpart (Yan) and I went to  Kampong Cham province to do more market research and to find a market the rice co-operative could potentially sell to in the future.

Darkskin Girls are fucking beautiful.

I didn’t think for a second that my skin complexion would affect my trip in Cambodia however, it has.  There has been many occasions where people have pointed at me and laughed with their friends because I am dark skinned. Sometimes people even stand away from me and look at me as if I’m monster. One day a man came up to me asked ‘Why are you so black?’ lol I didn’t even know what to say I just had to laugh it off.

Honestly, I understand being white and light in Cambodia is what is classed as being beautiful and they have probably never seen a black person. Therefore, It doesn’t upset me because I ‘ve learnt to love myself. I am just out of my comfort zone, if I step out I know eyes are going to be on me and I will probably get laughed at. I think its sad because I know something like this can affect a person's self esteem. To all my dark skinned beauty, you are beautiful don’t let anyone tell you different – you are dark and lovely.

This week i attended the first ever river festival in Kratie with lovely my counterpart host sister. We had a nice relaxing day, we ate loads, went to the different stores, danced to the music and watched the fireworks. It was a good day !

My host family took to the Kampi resort on the weekend when i got back from Siem Reap and it was really nice and relaxing. Of course i didn't go in the water , mi nah like di water !

I had a day off so i  was able to visit Angkor Wat , Angkor Thom ( where Tomb Raider was filmed) and different temples. It was such a nice day off.

This weekend all volunteers and I travelled to Siem Reap for our Mid Phase Review for three days but it was literally the best three days..

I was doing some market research for my project  ( Rice co-operative ) online . As i was doing my research i came across a website and found well established co-operative. I got in contact with the founder  ( Dr Vong) and he was very kind to travel all the way from Phnom Phen to meet us in Kratie. I ask him any questions to help with my project, Dr Vong has a PHD in agriculture so he really helped a lot. I really wantthe rice co-operative to be a success.

My host mum came back from a wedding and she wanted me to take a picture with her. I look TERRA but mi nahhh care, i  just wanted to show off my host family! They are so lovely ♡ Here's a pictures of our Dinner , we sit on the floor and eat dinner together everyday.
