Maybe the woman had an abusive husband and she was isolated in a castle by the ocean and away from people, and the werewolf (being human as well) sees and notices how she is abused because he had traveled too far and lost his way until he found the castle and saw her on the overstep that led out from her bedroom and smelt blood, therefore he became obsessed with stalking her. the blood from her being hurt by her husband of course. and while stalking her, he witnesses all the hardship she goes through.

her scent had drug him in and caused him to be obsessed with stalking her and witnessing all that she goes through. Therefore feeling the guilt of doing nothing overtime, but he starts to get angry (him being confused why.) and all will be discussed privately !!
