thinking about the first time i saw the perfect harmony scene from julie and the phantoms and out loud said "who the hell is that?" when luke came through the mirror because i didn't recognize him

kind reminder that julie was wearing her late mother’s very 90s sweater when she plucked up the courage to show up outside the pattersons’ home to talk to parents who lost their child in the 90s (in a house they still feels like a time capsule- stuck in the 90s)

his parents never moved on from their child’s passing, and it kind of reminds me of julie before she found the song her mom left her

you can argue that luke’s parents only really found a tiny bit of peace after getting unsaid emily through julie

just like julie only really found a tiny bit of peace after finding wake up from her mom….through luke (ish. she might no have paid attention to it if luke hadn’t pointed it out etc etc)
