WE DID IT!!!! Team Kecleon for the win! Our MVP was Camoflower the Dinotongue the Kecleon-Aerodactyl!
A staggering misestimation of how bulky mega manetric is led to the loss of Zoom, who was never a front runner for the team, but a very lowkey support and cleaner pokemon that got our team out of a bind many times. They'll be missed, we had them since the very beginning of the game at Route 22, and now lost them after many important but underappreciated contributions. Ninja was the MVP of the fight, completely immune to everything but manetric
Here is our team before the Lt. Surge fight! We were lucky to get a shedinja, which has a good matchup into his team. I unfortunately still expect his mega manectric to be a huge problem tho :/
the era is coming...
Team update! We beat the two SS Anne mini bosses with no losses, and are now going to the rival fight! Leading with Le Monkey to throw off some powerful drain punches, and will adapt during the fight accordingly!
Was looking forward to using Ballz the Sawk against the Lt. Surge fight, but was evidently sorely mistaken. A crit cross poison from the Cerulean Burglar's Golbat very quickly severed Ballz from our team, and unfortunately we now have to progress without him. Fetching the Fletchling was the MVP for the fight against the Burglar, and we now head down to Vermilion and SS Anne with dreams of catching some ground type pokemon :)
Here is our team after the Misty fight! Unfortunately, this was a challenging matchup for the team, with Misty have a bunch of extremely fast, hard hitting pokemon for this stage of the game. I made a few mistakes in this fight, and the AI called my bluff on a switch which unfortunately set up for us losing Spinny the Spinda to a water pulse from Floatzel, and our Quagsire The Woop went down to a nasty grass knot. Dasher was a stellar MVP, showing that sometimes the earliest route in the game can have some phenomenal suprises in store. Le Monke and Le Egg were both instrumental in the victory as well. Some new additions include Ballz, the Sawk, who will make his debut against the Cerulean City burglar, and a stunky, plusle, and carvanha. We'll see if we use them in the future. The Woop was our starter pokemon, and was an MVP against the Mt. Moon team rocket boss, and will be sorely missed! Spinny was a newer member of the team with amazing potential - I only hope we can keep this run going!
Unfortunately, the Bugsy fight was as difficult as I anticipated. In exchange for the U-Turn TM and the ability to progress to the Misty fight, we unfortauntely lost Arch the Archen as well as Gen3God the Larvitar. Arch was a solid MVP for the run so far, demolishing Brock and some rival fights as well as spreading some vital damage on Bugsy's team. Gen3God the Larvitar is a very new addition to the team, who was unfortunately lost before having the opportunity to reach its prime Tyranitar state, where it would have been an invaluable team member. Its Rock Tomb allowed us to revenge kill it. This fight could have gone much worse... there were two points where the enemy AI saw a range to KO and went for aggressive plays where by sheer luck my Gabite and Zebstrika were left on 1 and 5 HP respectively. RIP to those that were lost, and we are off to Misty now!
Here is our team before we face down Bugsy and his bug types! Thankfully didn't have any losses on the nugget bridge split. Bugsy should be really difficult, so we will have to see the team's standings after his fight! Also got four more encounters, and hatched an egg (ended up being Burmy, which might be interesting later)
We managed to beat the team rocket boss in Mt. Moon pretty flawlessly, and then went to Cerulean and beat our rival pretty handedly as well! Switched the team up a little bit again to compensate for who he brings, and so far The Woop and Le Monkey are both really productive members of the team! Bingo has also come in clutch, as one of our bulkier members of the team. Zoom the Varoom has been the weakest link, but I am confident that I am just not properly utilizing it to it's full potential. No new major additions since last time, except for a Mantyke (named Ray) that was caught at the raid den on Route 4 before Cerulean! One more miniboss fight and then we will be off to Misty, so I am going to start having to figure that out... we have 1 egg to hatch still in Cerulean, and then 3 catches (2 fishing, 1 grass) to help us continue to round things out!
Up against the next big fight, the fossil maniac in Mt. Moon, we unfortunately lost Kingslayer the pawniard to a Bibarel Rock Smash - we had to hit a clutch fury cutter to kill him, but unfortunately a brutal miss set us up for a tough loss. We raised them since they were an egg, and they didn't do much for the team, but were integral in the last fight.
No losses against Falkner! Brock is up next! I know a Gibby bulldoze would OHKO alolan geodude, so I am going to bait the switch to his Varoom and use bite instead, to pop his balloon and then knock that out. Bingo is going to help get some damage down on Onix, as will the Woop, and Diagnosis should be good too. My Archen is a slighly higher level than his is, so we should be able to knock that out too.
Had to restart LOL, forgot to save. New team! This time, Wooper is our starter, and we have a pretty good team heading into Falkner! Have the Foongus in the box for Brock, plus can counter his Archen with our Archen. Hopefully don't lose anyone here!
We smahed through brock thanks to our powerful grass types! Didn't change much about our team, but now have a bit more of a robust box as we work through Mt. Moon, including the new addition of Nacli, Slakoth, Snom and Rockruff!
I started a pokemon Radical Red run! My first big fight is the Falkner fight in the Pokemon Museum in Pewter city, and I am planning to bring this team to face him down - my starter was lucky and got randomized to Cyndaquil, and I am planning to use Gooey and Trap King to hit Falkner's bird types with powerful rock type attacks. Swagrat is in the back of the party to take care of his speed boost eviolite Flittle. We'll see how we do! Currently have Pidgey, Cacnea, and Carvanha waiting in the box!
We beat Pokemon Emerald Rogue again! Clear number 2 woohoo (yes that is a shiny Tyranitar)
Beat pokemon rogue emerald for the first time! Our MVP was Sharkie the sharpedo, he was so fast and strong, took out a lot of the opposition! Skarm was my baby too!
