So here is the final pencils and colors of Drake racing to save Jen in time.

Heres my work in progress shots of my self monster piece. First time ever using photoshop from start to finish! I really like it!

The new project is to do a selfie of ourselves but as a monster. Ive still yet to draw two more roughs and choose one. Ill be sure to let you know when I really get into it!

This is the layout I have chosen to with. I still have some background and detail to throw in, and then possibly on to inks!

So the assaignment was to draw the pivotal moment in a race.

I chose to make Drake racing to save Jen from falling off of a cliff. I had a lot of ideas but only one truly made sense and would also push my limits from a perspective standpoint.

Meet Jace Rackham and his partner Siphon Norindale. Jace is heir to the throne of Atlantis but chose to live his life as a free spirit, free to travel and view the world as his great anscestor and well know pirate Jack Rackham had when his father gave him the choice between the throne or a life of his own choosing.

Here we have Rackhams ship crashed onto a rocky shoreline. While Siphon fixes it, Jace must defend it from modern day pirates who seek to steal it and use it for their own.

For my characters and vehicle design, I chose to do an Atlantean environment. I really didnt want to have my stuff look like disneys atlantis but I did use some of it for reference. I liked the shapes and some of the colors they chose style wise but I wanted my Atlantis to stand out from that of others.

The main character is Jace Rackham, prince of Atlantis and the female is Siphon Norindel, his best friend and tech/mechanic whiz. They adventure the seas exploring new cities and coves and reefs and creatures.

Here is my beach environment. Wanted to try something a little more painterly.

This is my spacelike alien world. I wanted to try something simple and without outlines.

So for my second set of designs I wanted to do the interiors of the first six but make it more character based so that it could be used to tell a story instead of just looking really nice.

I dont have these colored as i ran out of time but they would be colored as the same style i used for the first six.

So here's my first set of environments and the settings that inspired them. I drew all but the modern building from my head without looking at reference. So all in all im pretty happy i nailed the looks of these. The top right was just some kind of alien homework ruins thing. I dont know.

I wanted to make the first six designs very background oriented to show off the environment itself.
