It's honestly crazy when I went into the amazing digital circus tag yesterday and was expecting at worst, some bad opinions. But instead I'm met with multiple people saying Zooble is treated better than Jax because they are "TME". Saying Zooble is trans masc, even though they really aren't, and that they were intentionally outting Jax during the maid dress scene. Later found out the post's creator has said things like "kill all trans men" which is so unbelievably disgusting
I guess what I'm saying is if you legitimately use TME/TMA feel free to interact with my posts, but I'm going to block you
I think a big part of the reason Pokopia is hitting so hard for so many people is that we have had an absolute glut of post apocalyptic media that take the "humans are the monsters/disease/problem" angle. Even the most well meaning solar-punk I can think of often have this undercurrent of 'humanity's nature is inherently short sighted and exploitive and they must constantly be kept in check to protect the environment' which slides very quickly into 'the world would be better off without humans in it to complicate and threaten things'.
But Pokopia fully does not do that. The world is lonely without humans and lesser for humanity's absence. So much of the game is about how Pokemon miss humans and are struggling to make sense of a world without us, how the ecosystem is just as hurt by our absence as any other species, and how the things we left behind, even in ruins and burned shells, are often beautiful and strange and helpful to the Pokemon who find them.
Pokemon have always been this allegory for the natural world- back to the original idea of the games inspired by children who caught bugs and kept ant farms- and thus the relationship between Pokemon and humans becomes this allegory for the relationship between nature and humans. And Pokopia looks you dead in the eye and says "the world would be poorer without humans, and if we all vanished tomorrow the echoes of who we are and the things we did would still ring out for eons uncountable. We would be missed and mourned and searched for and the wound of our absence would be deeply felt on this earth for the rest of its turning. The actions of a few greedy short sighted humans will never change that."
My wife brought up a great point about fandom, if She-Ra released today people would accuse the creators of queer baiting Bow and Seahawk. Even with everyone being queer and Adora and Catra together

Just because what you wanted didn't happen, doesn't mean it's queerbaiting. It is now being used an excuse when the ship you want didn't get together. Queerbaiting has to do with marketing.
Queerbait: A cookbook that you learned about from ads with pictures of people eating tasty looking soups and the author's social media posts about how soup lovers are going to love it, proves to have no soup recipes.
Not queerbait: A cookbook has no soup recipes. You assumed there would be some based on vibes and wishful thinking. No soups were ever advertised or promised.
Also not queerbait: A cookbook that was advertised as containing soup recipes has soup recipes but not for the types of soups you like.
Me when I see byler shippers insisting it was all queerbaiting and their headcanon is still somehow canon as they miss the show explicitly telling us Mike is Will's Tammy
I thought I could figure out the referent, but no. I canāt. Which murdered British boys? Someone go back and ask that elderly neighbor or Iāll never be able to sleep again.
Been moving the past month so it was only just a few days ago when I finally beat Legends Z-A. It is so fun!!! Lumiose city it really cool, the story and characters are interesting, and the new battle mechanics are a lot of fun. After feeling like clothing options were severally lacking in the last few games this game has sooo much style!
I wonder if I played a different game than everyone else? Went to YouTube so listen to people talk about it and every video had a thumbnail like "unplayable garbage" or "worthless slop". I completely get having criticisms of the game, I have them too. But damn I honestly feel bad for people that can't find any fun in this game because it's a really good time.
Also from like 5 minutes of scrolling, people on Tumblr seem to like it, especially corbeau, so that's cool. Now enjoy this shitty video I took of my character
Probably won't do this for every Scooby movie I watch but my fiance and I had an amazing date night I am calling a Scooby-Doo Dooble feature. We made a Scooby style big sandwich (tm) and watched 2 Scooby movies back to back.
We watched Scooby-Doo in Where's my Mummy, a favorite from my childhood that still holds up decently well I think. We followed that up with Scooby-Doo and KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery, which might be the most insane Scooby movie I've ever seen. It is wild and super funny. I highly reccomend it to most Scooby fans
congratulations to this beautiful sex goddess, and may everyone who voted for her be granted and joined in one of her time-traveling sexcapades! (if you so wish)
throughout the polls, she only had one close call to a loss, and that was her tie with simmons. overall, kai received (1556 + round 6) votes!
congrats once again to kaikaina! for being the most fuckable blue, most fuckable woman, most fuckable grif, most fuckable time traveler, and most fuckable sim trooper!!
it was absolutely lovely hosting the polls, and you all were amazing, this wouldn't have happened without y'all's support ā” see you next week for the loser bracket !
So, The Completionist is back. Watched his explanation video, and honestly, his side of the story is more or less what I figured. They never stole the money, it was always there, it was waiting to be donated in a way that they could track what it was used for. He fucked up, bad, by keeping that fact to himself during the last donation marathon instead of being up front about it.
And from there Mutahar and Jobst, who basically had no idea what they were talking about, managed to fuck over his entire life for it and their view counts.
Like, don't get me wrong, it's clear The Completionist fucked up by keeping the fact they were having trouble getting the donations guaranteed to go to families in need and not administrative costs to himself. Like, that was a massive fuckup. But Jesus tapdancing Christ did he ever over pay for that fuck up thanks to the shit takes and false 'journalism' of our armchair defamers known as Mutahar and Jobst. Which, by the way, their dramatizing the whole thing apparently made donating the money harder cause, surprise surprise, charities don't like to be involved in scandals.
