Akagami no Shirayukihime Pairings
I like Zen x Shirayuki. They met first, and I must say, they have one of the best meetings, I love how they met. I mean, it’s nothing spectacular, but I like how suspicious Zen is (rightfully so) and Shirayuki changes his mind with her straightforward attitude, even giving him the cold shoulder for a little bit.
And then they get to chatting and they actually make quick friends, and they both end up strangely inspiring one another. I love friend –> romance things. Zen and Shirayuki are that.
I also like Obi x Shirayuki. Their meeting was quite rocky, but no hard feelings were ever kept because Obi was so distant, and Shirayuki was tense/suspicious, but she was willing to give him a second change. Unconsciously, Obi started doing all these things for her, catching her before she fell, keeping secrets for her, watching over her to make sure she wasn’t being stupid.
To watch him slowly fall in love despite what kind of person he is, distant, hesitant to get attached, never staying in one place for too long, etc, it was… it was adorable.
Strangely enough, I also kind of like Shirayuki x Raji, though all in all, I only see them as friends. They had the rockiest start of all. Raji ordered her to become his concubine just because her red hair would keep him entertained. Talk about scummy. But come to find out, he was just a super sparkly immature idiot.
He grew up so much thanks to Shirayuki, he’s like a real prince now. I love how she influenced him in such a way, even as friends.
When it comes to what I actually want to happen… I feel like Zen x Shirayuki is a duh. It’s the first couple, they met first, they’re really close, their relationship is positive, there’s nothing wrong with it really, other than at times, being a little formal (being a prince and all, Zen doesn’t get to hang out much)
But the Obi x Shirayuki on the side, URG, I’m trying so hard not to let it overtake Zen x Shirayuki in my heart! (but make no mistake, I still believe and want Zen x Shirayuki to happen) Even though Shirayuki doesn’t see Obi that way, they want they interact, how much they hang out together, Obi in general, ohmagod. He plays with my heart way too much. I can’t take it. I can’t. I CAN’T
