The sad part is A kept hurting B until C came into the picture... Which makes me wonder if C never came would A have continued on hurting B?

A loves B and both have some abusive tendencies (I can admit that). But A's cruel, and repeated abuse of B when he KNOWS! that B is in vulnerable place is just fucking heartbreaking. And the fact that B wants to have these conversations but A pushes him away before he can do so.
