Having your interests mocked as a kid and general low self esteem will have you insulting the things you like even when they're generally considered very good. Because you like it, and historically when you like something it's stupid and not worth anyone's time. headcanon that clothes are a thing on erid but theyre not strictly culturally required and are largely decorative, like, fiber is a different sound texture from an eridians carapace so you wear it if you wanna be fancy. Rocky didnt wear clothes while on the mission because they needed to hear the gadgets they were working with better. Anyways i think that this would make the clothing conversation much funnier especially if rocky understands human's cultural expectation of modesty with clothing before he has to explain. Like

Imagine that Eridians grow with age, so when Rocky first left Erid, Adrian was around the same size as them, but now coming back all these years later Rocky reunites with Adrian and they're now like three times the size of Rocky. (the wonders of time dilation)

Rock doing the equivalent of blushing furiously and swooning like "omg... my mate is so so so beautiful."

Also imagine that they never stop growing until death, so maybe by the time they reach 600-and-something and die of old age, they're MASSIVE.

So an old Eridian will just lumber off a ways, sit down, and pass on. and boom. they're a mountain now. That's a mountain.

Rocky leads Grace to two towering mountains and points up at them like "look look look! These were Rocky's parents!"

So Eridians use echolocation and sonography that allows them to hear through solid materials. And we know that Rocky can basically hear the whole Hail Mary without problems.

We don’t know much about planet Erid beyond the very basics, but planets that have iron core usually feature volcanic activity and therefore magma and other materials movement underneath the planet surface.

So considering this…

Do you think ancient Eridians ever lied down on the ground to listen to the voice of their planet? Keeping very still and waiting for a faint and distant sound from down below to reach them.

I would imagine that to be possible mostly near the volcanoes, where magma comes closer to the crust (planet surface). So do you think those ancient Eridians were coming to the fire breathing mountains to listen to planet’s songs?

Did they consider their planet alive in those long ago times? Maybe they worshipped it as their creator and parent? After all, their bodies are so similar to its. They sing to each other just as the planet sings to them from time to time.

Imagine Eridians’ one and only ancient god being the planet itself.

Big fan of the idea that, from Erid's perspective, Grace is probably kinda scary, at first.

Like his language consists of noises that are simultaneously very simple compared to the overlapping eridian notes, and weird clicking/hard sounds that no one could even begin to try to imitate. To begin with, that's a weird combination.

And there's a popular headcanon going around that Grace can pronounce certain simple words in eridian without his piano thingy, and he would sound like a pebble learning to speak. Let's make it creepy and assume eridians also have a fear of the uncanny valley.

Grace getting better with time at imitating simple words, therefore accidentally making himself sound more and more like a pebble, sounding right enough, but not quite. That shit would be creepy as fuck.

Imagine an alien that can imitate the way the children of your species sound like. At first you'd freak out! Yeah he saved your planet but. It's like a fucking mimic. Then you'd see him trip over nothing and fall face first and you'd calm down.

This is probably a stretch but I don't care. I like to imagine eridians and humans have some very similar fears, and the uncanny valley potential is just too good to ignore.
