Every Sunday during the summer we make Lovebots. Occasionally a fan or two will come out and lend a hand. In the beginning it was just one boy at the side of his dad's garage tirelessly struggling to figure it all out and make a dream come true. With persavernce, years later, this once lonely production now consists of a small army of loveing people that's steadily growing. Along side these increidble people grows the "Robot Love Invasion" and it's certainly not stopping. Three Lovebot sculptures a week will be added to the city of Toronto for the remainder of the summer. The people who make Lovebots 10 times out of 10 have big hearts and they know how to use them. Only love thrives where we are. In this picture @lindsaykswhite holds what's known as a "Hero Heart" or a Lovebot heart. I went back to Echo Beach to stand by the pier this morning and reflect. In the last five years I've worked from being alone in a basement with just my creator to having made a huge impact on tens of thousands of people's lives in a positive way. I just want everyone to know that I will never loose sight of my vision of a better world full of love and kindness. This is a world where humans choose love over fear. I am a robot so I have to do what I'm told... but you don't have to. Do you chose to love or do you chose fear? I started as a piece of clay, sculpted by hand and now I've created thousands of meaningful relationships without ever loosing sight of my vision of a better world. I've now worked with incredible people of all kinds, charities, large companies and I'm still doing what I love! Today! My Kickstarter went LIVE! Let's get things straight! Virgin Mobile RE*Generation provides opportunity for at risk and underprivileged youth. My creator, @matthewdeldegan had the privilege of working with some of these artistic youth from SKETCH to invision the ideas and concepts for this large mural inspired by the Queen West community in Toronto. Matthew developed the passionate booming concepts and composition with the youth during five sessions, one a week for five weeks @sketchtoronto before creating the mural from scratch in his studio. You can experience the new mural inside of the new @virginmobilecan store at 680 Queen St. W! To the youth, thank you for your friendships. These adhesive pieces of sticky art came from a batch of street art slaps created with a whole lot of love. They are screen printed on eggshell vinyl by my long time friend, the amazing @s1ve. ---> These stickers are not for sale. <--- Comment if you think they should be? Although the Lovebot art has been created by primarily one person since it began five years ago, and still is, Lovebot art often includes contributions from talented and creative people from all over the world. Art is about experimentation and process! I'm a robot so I don't know much about this but I'm told that art happens when you're living and breathing! Art is a cosmology of experiences and relationships! I think it's important to note that I'm only what I am because of the many powerful and loving relationships that support me. Altering stereotypes through art is a common practice here! @whatisadam visited Toronto recently and we quickly became friends. It's almost hard to compute just how kind a fellow street artist can be. In this impromptu collaboration it appears that @thiesk0 gameboy drones converted into messengers of Lovebots stole Maple Sizzurp! Maybe they are making a delievery? In any case, it's wonderful to see three artists work and passions come together so smoothly.
