I don't know, personally I think we should have spent less time with Alicent and whatever she was doing this season, and focused more on Helaena and the feeling of being trapped. As well as deepen Baela and Rhaena's characters.
I also think we should have developed Rhaenyra more through this season, enhanced her flaws and her descent into fascism. Less focus on Mysaria x Rhaenyra. And maybe, if they HAD to have Mysaria as a big part of everything, then at the very least develop her and show some conniving and maneuvering.
Rhaena's whole storyline--and Baela's as well were just meh and boring and humiliating.
I would have loved if Rhaenyra had more than just looking sad and out of it. I would have loved if we had her crueller (like this final episode, but shown earlier). I would have loved to see her pushing people away and making mistakes that only sends her further into 'madness.' And I would have loved Jace being brought up again, I would have loved Aegon and Viserys mentioned and talked about. And more Daemyra actually being affectionate.
I also think Aemond's whole storyline should have been tweaked. I love a pathetic man, but I almost feel like there were moments where he as another character entirely.
We should also not have had 4 episodes of almost nothing happening.
I have no idea how they'll wrap it all up in S4.
