Let me be clear. Nettles wasn't cut to protect the Daemyra pairing. Mysaria is still around—even though *Fire & Blood* states that Daemon cheated on Rhaenyra with her. If they had cut Nettles for the sake of Daemyra, they would have cut Mysaria too. But they didn't. The truth is, Nettles could easily have been included without Daemon cheating on Rhaenyra with her. For one thing, the stories about his infidelity with Mysaria and Nettles are questionable for many reasons. But also, *Fire & Blood* literally offers another option: viewing Nettles as a surrogate daughter figure for Daemon. Plus, they made Daemon's daughters black, which would have reinforced that interpretation. They had every opportunity to bring Nettles into *House of the Dragon*. The real reason they didn't is racism. Just as they ignored the actual queer characters from the Dance to superficially assign those traits to non-queer characters... well, they turned white characters black but diminished their roles and importance in the process, all while cutting out crucial black characters. I see "Team Green" supporters talking about favoritism toward Daemyra. That’s not it. It’s simply racist writing—the kind we’ve seen since the very beginning of the show. And classism, too. After all, Condal thinks it’s more interesting to have a high-born lady claim a wild dragon than a nobody like Nettles... It’s just racism. And Ryan uses Daemyra as a shield to justify it. There was no need to cut Nettles to preserve Daemyra. And regarding the Rhaesaria kiss—I always said it wouldn't have any real significance, mainly because they never actually incorporated it into the plot. It was an improvisation by Emma D'Arcy. It allowed them to have representation without actually delving into anything, all while avoiding any mention of the actual queer characters in the show. Like... *House of the Dragon* is misogynistic, racist, and queerphobic. It always has been. And people are just trying to pin it all on the Daemyra ship. It’s ridiculous.

What if I wrote a story in which all of the Targtower siblings are dysfunctional but family.

What if I wrote a story in which a girl who refuses to love anyone, finds love.

What if I wrote a story in which a boy who was abandoned by everyone finds a family he'd devote himself to.

What if I wrote that?
