once again consumed by my feelings for sejin. he can read mirae as easily as breathing and he has long known that mirae is not who she claims to be, and needed to hear only a few details about her from miji to figure out who she really is.
they are so perfectly matched it hurts. he's lived her regrets and come out on the other side, and even though his advice helps her it also soothes him to give it.
the biggest difference between them is that sejin was responsible for his grandfather's death in a way mirae couldn't have been for the way her boss treated her. but she probably wouldn't listen to him if he hadn't been as responsible as he was, because it's impossible for her not to blame herself for her own perceived shortcomings. the fact that sejin has come so far on his own path of self-forgiveness is what makes it possible for mirae to have the confidence to get back on her own path.
their relationship is achingly tender. sejin is the calmest, deepest waters and offers himself to mirae in the gentlest way with absolutely no expectations or pressure to hurry up. that's exactly what mirae needs and he does it instinctively and that's why they are a perfect match.

🏙️ Our Unwritten Seoul 미지의 서울 (2025) — ep. 04 | My Nemesis
📰 Sports World: "‘Our Unwritten Seoul’ Ryu Kyungsoo, the More You Watch, the More Charming Han Sejin"
"A unique unpredictability and a warm inner self coexist. Actor Ryu Kyungsoo’s vivid performance makes viewers all the more eager for the next episode.
In the June 14 episode of the tvN weekend drama Our Unwritten Seoul, the reason behind Han Sejin’s (played by Ryu Kyungsoo) decision to give up his entire career and choose to return to farming was revealed. All this time, Han Sejin had shown his deep affection by cherishing his grandfather’s old chair and work clothes.
In the midst of this, when Yoo Mirae (played by Park Boyoung) recognized Han Sejin as someone who used to work at an asset management company and excitedly started speaking, he watched her with interest. When she asked about the reason he had suddenly disappeared, he told her he would explain later, heightening curiosity.
Later, when Han Sejin came face to face with Yoo Mirae, Yoo Miji (also played by Park Boyoung), and Lee Hosoo (played by Park Jinyoung), he led the three of them without any awkwardness, bringing a smile to the viewers’ faces. In particular, he naturally guided the conversation like playing a game, and when he realised Yoo Miji knew his grandfather, his delight was clearly evident.
On another occasion, when Han Sejin came across Yoo Mirae again, he surprised everyone by calling her name precisely. Furthermore, Han Sejin, while recounting how he had worked for his grandfather but ended up missing what was truly important, offered Yoo Mirae heartfelt advice, delivering a moment of quiet emotional weight to the screen.
In this way, Ryu Kyungsoo enriched the drama by skillfully adjusting the intensity of his performance. Above all, his portrayal fully captured the sly and witty traits of the character, bringing him to life and amplifying the enjoyment of the story.
Moreover, when sharing scenes with Yoo Mirae, every line of dialogue and glance was delivered with warmth, leaving a gentle emotional resonance with the audience. In this way, Ryu Kyungsoo made the character all the more captivating, raising the viewers’ level of immersion."

ok but when ji-yoon told eun-ho off about his misconception on the job she's doing and he immediately apologized bc he didn't know better... love to watch some real adult representation in media where an entangled mess of miscommunication and misunderstanding is the last thing i have to worry about
Dearest, lovers
Hello Tumblr World! I am that creator who has been working on Nicola & Luke Press Documentary for the past few weeks.
To tell you the truth, those weeks have been quite exhausting. I had to combine my job and private life to be able to work on, as how my followers had called it, N&L Press Doc. BUT! Enough about me, let's talk about the project.
For the whole plan to make sense, I had to collect material; starting from London and ending it on Ireland, that included over seventeen Google Doc pages of interviews from various social media platforms. In the meantime, I was posting surveys on X regarding certain details, because I wanted people to have a chance to choose. The most time-consuming task was searching for a good quality videos and photos, downloading needed files, neatening them into correct order, to then montaging into 4 parts. Several interviews were edited by me, splitted, resized, which only made the steps to finish line take longer than I had initially expected. Entire process from making decision to actually starting "new project", to rendering each part took about a month. With that being said, I was happy to finally announce the release date.
So here they are! PART ONE
PART TWO
PART THREE
PART FOUR
haeyeong's heart is so big and full of love uuuggghhhh
from what i've read on the tag so far this might be an unpopular opinion but i think haeyeong and jiuk separating a bit was important. even though i would've liked to have more of them together in the last episode of their story, i still think jiuk had to go.
jiuk is a person who not once in his life has lived and made choices for his own sake. for the span of this show, he has been self-sacrificial to an almost destructive degree because he felt obligated to stay loyal to the people who take care of him. this goes for his mom, his grandma, haeyeong's mom and haeyeong.
haeyeong saw that and while i think it's a trait she loves in him, she also wants the man she loves to do something for himself for once. she knows how much he wanted to go overseas to see his mom. she didn't want to keep him shackled and be another person he puts his wishes on hold for out of obligation. that's why she let him go.
jiuk had time to grow and experience other things and he still came back to korea and chose to be with haeyeong. now both of them know for sure that them being together is not because jiuk feels bound by some deal or promise they made but because it's actually his choice.
i think that's a nice way to round off jiuk's character.
someone please gif soft jiuk in all his drunk, red eared, curly haired glory pleassseeee
I used to think that you suffered losses all your life, but I guess I was wrong. Look at all your children. NO GAIN, NO LOVE (2024) dir. Kim Jung Shik
Like this show is literally incapable of being completely serious.
I'm sorry, but I don't want to be the reason and the purpose of your life. That would be too burdensome, Ji-uk
Later...
*drags her drunk fake husband to bed because he is indeed heavy and it's not just a metaphor anymore*
Bless Hae-yeong and her complete faith that Ji-uk can acquire girlfriends and wives at record speed. He's gone for three months and she thinks he has a girlfriend he wants to exchange rings with already. Travels for six months and she's thinks it's totally realistic that he's getting married. She really thinks he's that attractive.
Bitch! What a great drama.
Had fun with every episode, loved every character and it was so fresh.
