Ashley continued to feed Parker as she sat still in her lap. “I’m sure you guys will figure it out. All that matters is you’re marrying each other and you will be happy.” She said with a smile. Ashley quickly pulled out her phone and check the time. “I can stay for a while. My mom and brother are with my dad today.” She said as she cleaned up Parker’s face. “Really you have me until Sara wants to do something.” She chuckled. “Wanna watch a movie or..” She paused. “Maybe we could take Parker to the beach.” Ashley smiled at Dani.

Dani put Parker’s fries down on the table when she was sure the child was done.  “Well... Beach sounds good.  Just for a little while because her nap time is soon.” She picked the child up and took her to the bedroom so she could get her changed.  A few minutes later, she emerged with a new outfit for her.  “I’m glad you stopped by, Ash.” She smiled and hugged her friend.  Parker reached out for the woman and chuckled.  “Looks like she prefers you over me.”

Ashley nodded. She understood that a lot had happened in the past few months and she was glad that it was over. “I have you to thank for helping me through that.” She said softly. Ashley chuckled softly as Parker tried to reach into her container. She ripped off a small piece of chicken and gave it to the little girl. “Chew.” She said to Parker. She looked up at Dani and smiled widely. “Yeah of course I will be.” She said. “When is the wedding?” She asked.

Dani was thankful for such good friends.  “Yeah...  Don’t thank me.” She looked over at Parker and realized that Ashley had control of her.  She smiled at her and ran her fingers through Parker’s hair.  “Um... We don’t know yet.  We can’t decide on whether it’s this year or next.  I kind of want a fall wedding but she wants a spring.  We thought about meeting int he middle but... we don’t know.” She put her food down on the table and leaned back to relax a bit.  "How long are you gonna be over?” She was kind of hoping for a while.  She needed the company.

Ashley smiled anf laughed. “Oh well, I still think it’s cute.” She said as she ate her food. She smiled at the little girl in her lap as she ate. She was glad that Dani had changed her ways and was settling down in her life. “Good. I know that you make her happy, too.” She smiled. She went to take a bit of her food and Parker reached for it. She gave the little girl a look, “You want some of this?” She said as she picked up a noodle with her fingers and handed it to Parker who shoved it in her mouth. “Sara and I are…good I think. Still slowly working on rebuilding our relationship and getting to know each other again.” She said. “It’s definitely improving though.”

“Of course you do.” She smiled and started to eat her rice.  “Well... I’m glad that you and Sara are good.  You two deserved it.  Both of you finally got your shit together.  between your alcohol problems, and I’m proud of you by the way..., and Sara’s drug problems...  It was way too much for everyone.  And now everyone’s happy.  So I’m happy.  And Parker’s happy.  And I’m getting married soon.  And I’m just... God... I finally have a family.” She smiled at her friend before wiping up Parker.  “Speaking of family... will you be on my side at the wedding?  Whenever it happens.”

Ashley laughed. “You thought it was cute a few months ago.” She said as she grabbed the french fries she got and held them in her lap. As soon as she did, Parker picked one up and waved it around. “For you to eat, Park.” She said as she grabbed her container and opened it. “I told you she would say yes.” Ashley said as she took a bite of her food. “You’ve definitely changed a lot since I first met you…for the better.” She smiled. “I’m happy for you.”

Dani just rolled her eyes.  “That was before I got an earful from Santana.” She smiled at Ashley’s compliment.  “Yeah... I have changed.  I’m definitely not the same person I was back then.  Honestly, all I wanted to do was sleep with Santana and end it but... She actually makes me pretty happy.  Really happy.  And I don’t see myself with anyone else.” She grabbed a napkin and placed it against her daughter’s cheek to wipe some of the ketchup up.  “Don’t play with your food, Park.  You know better.” Parker just nodded and took a sloppy bite out of her fry.  “What about you and Sara?”

Ashley bounced Parker in her arms as she giggled. “I just got some stuff from that Chinese place down the street.” She said as she tickled Parker’s side as she watched Dani walk out of the kitchen. She chuckled at the name the younger girl used for her. “It’s cute.” Ashley said. “She will eventually learn how to say Ashley over time.” She smiled as she sat on the couch with Parker in her lap. “How does it feel being engaged now?” Ashley asked as her friend sat down next to her.

Dani shook her head.  “It’s not cute!  It’s totally inappropriate for my daughter to be calling you ‘Assy’.” Dani sat down and grabbed a container.  “Aw, and you got Parker food...” French fries.  She opened the container and opened a few ketchup packets for her daughter.  “Here you are, baby girl.” She grabbed the chopsticks and started to eat.  “God...  You have no idea how good it feels.  I’m just surprised that she said yes.  If you told me 3 years ago I’d be in love, had a child and a fiance, I’d probably slap you.”

Ashley smiled at Dani when the door opened. She held up the bag in her hand and walked in the house. “I brought lunch.” She said as she slipped her shoes off. She smiled as Parker started walking toward her. “I hope you don’t mind me stopping by. I know you said Santana is out of town. I figured you could use some company.” She said as she walked into the living room, setting the bag on the table. Ashley bent down and picked Parker up, “Hey little one.” She said as she kissed the girl’s cheek.

Dani shook her head.  “It’s not a problem.  I could use some company.” She smiled at her friend and daughter. “Food.  I’m starving.  I was about to make Parker some lunch.  What did you get?” She walked into the kitchen to pull out a few bottles of water and Parker’s juice.  ‘Assy!’ Parker exclaimed, wrapping her small arms around her neck.  Dani sighed and walked into the living room.  “I really need to get her out of that.”

Ashley was out running errands for herself and her mom. She had talked to Dani a few days ago and learned that Santana was away on business for a little but starting today. Ashley decided that because she was already out she would surprise her friend with lunch and hang out with her for a bit. Ashley pulled into the driveway and grabbed the food bags and walked up to the front door. She smiled to herself before ringing the doorbell.

Dani smiled at her daughter.  She was happy despite her fiance being gone for a week.  She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair.  She just watched as she didn’t divert her attention away from her toys.  She stood up when the doorbell went off.  She walked over to it and saw Ashley standing there.  “Hey!  Parker Aunt Ashley’s here!” Parker looked over and stood up on wobbly legs.  ‘Assy!’

Santana laughed some. “Well, we were a little occupied after you asked me and when we got home. How were you supposed to text her the minute I said yes?” She leaned up to kiss Dani’s chin again. “How about we just order a pizza?” She turned to her daughter. “How’s that sound, Parker? Do you want pizza?” The girl didn’t even react to the question as she bounced happily when someone got a hit. Shaking her head she looked toward her fiancee. “Pizza?”

“Glad you’re on my side for once,” she joked and leaned over slightly so their lips could connect.   She nodded and grabbed her phone.  “Pizza sounds perfect." She called the pizza place and placed the order.  She closed her eyes and hung up the phone.  “I love you.  They said 45 minutes.  After lunch, we’ll have to put Parker down to take a nap...” She smiled and whispered.  “Want to have some fun later?”

Santana giggled softly as she relaxed more into Dani’s arms. “She’s so easy to tease. I couldn’t help myself.” Santana lifted her head before she turned to lie completely on top of Dani. Resting her arms across her fiancee’s chest, she looked up at her. “I know she was freaking out. It’s why I was cracking up laughing so much when I was texting her.” She leaned up to kiss Dani’s chin before resting her head on her hands to just look up at her.

Dani did agree with that...  “Well. She blamed me.  She wanted to know what you said the moment you said it.  And I didn’t text her.” She shrugged and put her arms under her head to look at her fiance.  “Tell me what you want for lunch and I’ll go grab something.  Chinese, Mexican, whatever you want.” She looked over at Parker who had been staring intently at the TV.

Santana kept her hand out just in case Parker fell. Once the girl wiggled down to the floor, she turned her attention to Dani. “It was like a magnet. They all flocked to me to ask me about it and ask how you did it.” She pushed Dani’s legs off of her and scooted up to curl against her. “And you’re always cute enough for me.” She rested her head against Dani’s chest to watch the baseball game with them.

Dani smiled at her soon-to-be wife and ran her fingers up and down her side.  “Well...  I’m just thankful that you said yes.  It would have been embarrassing.  Oh... Kenzi told me that trick you played on her - about not knowing.  She was petrified,”she laughed.  “She’s so easy to tease.” She ran her hand a little higher and played with Santana’s hair.  She wasn’t even paying attention to the game anymore.

Rolling her eyes, she made her way around the sofa and sat down at Dani’s feet. “How can I say no to Parker?” She stuck her tongue out at her fiancee and shifted to bring Dani’s legs across her lap, rubbing them gently as she tried to pretend to be interested in the game when in reality it was very boring to her.

“What about me?” She laughed.  “I’m not cute enough for you?” She put her legs across Santana’s lap and watched when Parker crawled off of the couch to sit back against the bottom of the couch.  Dani decided to look at her girlfriend and smile.  “So... what did people at work say?  Did they notice something different?”

Chuckling some, Santana leaned over the back of the sofa again. “Hey, I’m all for cute guys in tight pants, but sports bore me so much.” Santana grinned toward Dani. “And apparently Parker already agrees with that comment.” She ran her fingers through her daughter’s hair as she watched her stare intently at the TV. “She loves it. She’s been so quiet just watching the game. Then she realized you were asleep and didn’t want you to miss it.”

Dani nodded.  “Yeah.  Apparently she does,” she couldn’t stop staring at her daughter.  “It’s... kind of strange, actually.” She kissed the top of her daughter’s head and looked over at Santana.  Her hand reached and laced her fingers with hers.  “I know that you hate watching sports, but come sit with us.  Plea-ase?” Dani pouted.  Parker immediately joined in.  ‘Mami! Ball!’

Santana laughed at them. “It was too cute to stop her. She was so determined. It took her a good 5 minutes to figure out how to get onto the sofa.” Santana leaned over the back of the sofa to kiss the top of Dani’s head, then Parker’s head. ‘Momma ball.’ She pointed to the TV. “I think you created a monster, baby.” She laughed at them before going to get herself a drink.

Dani rolled her eyes.  “Glad you’re on my side.  Why can’t me being cute be enough for you to stop her?  I’m cute when I sleep,” She pecked Santana’s lips and looked over at her daughter.  “Hey, I like sports.  What’s not to like?  Cute sweaty guys in tight pants or shorts or whatever...” She chuckled and shook her head.  “Do you like baseball, honey?” Parker smiled widely and curled into her mother with her bear in her arms.  ‘Ball!’

Santana laughed as Parker worked to climb onto the sofa with Dani. She kept an eye on the girl as she climbed up her fiancee’s body. Dani had fallen asleep watching some baseball game that Parker seemed engrossed in as well, but then Dani fell asleep and apparently their daughter didn’t like it. ‘Momma!’ Parker climbed onto Dani’s stomach and started bouncing. ‘Momma up!’ She called out to her as she continued bouncing on her, trying to wake her up. As much as she knew she should stop her, she couldn’t. Santana found the whole thing amusing.

Dani’s breath was almost knocked out of her as her daughter started jumping on her to wake her up.  She opened her eyes and looked over at Santana.  “Why are you letting her jump on me?” She laughed and sat up to wrap an arm around her daughter, tickling her side with her other hand.  ‘Momma!  Stop!’ Parker giggled.  She cleared her throat and sat back on the couch.  “Okay.  I’m up.  So what did you want, honey?”

Kenzi: It doesn't matter how tall you are! Although... me getting down on one knee didn't go too well... I stumbled on the way down and hit Liv in the face with the ring...

Dani: You definitely had too much to drink. Who the hell does that?

Dani: Anyway... Santana's calling me. Thanks for taking Parker for next few days. I appreciate it, Kenz.
