Wow, yes, well done Conservatives, getting wages rising and the economy growing. Itâs not like wages and the economy naturally grow in a capitalist society and have done by the end of every decade in modern history.

If you want something done about it [poverty], ask the Conservatives.
David Cameron, leader of the Conservative Party, the party behind the Bedroom Tax, the abolition of Housing Benefit for young people and robbing the poorest families of ÂŁ1300 a year.
Housing - Over the last five years the Conservatives have completely failed - John Healey
John Healey MP, Labourâs Shadow Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning, responding to reports of David Cameronâs speech, said:
âOver the last five years with David Cameron in charge the Conservatives have completely failed on housing. They claim to be the party of home ownership but on their watch it has fallen every year for the past five years and is now at its lowest level for a generation - for those under 35, itâs down by over a fifth.
âTheir record of failure has also seen rapidly rising rents, more homelessness, higher housing benefits bill, and fewer homes built than at any time since the 1920s.
âAfter five years of failure on housing, the millions of people struggling to cope with their housing costs deserve a real plan for more affordable homes to rent and buy. And the country needs a new wide debate about how our deepening housing crisis can be tackled.âÂ
Workers under the age of 25 are not âproductiveâ enough to warrant being paid the new National Living Wage, according to Government Minister Matthew Hancock. In this summerâs budg
Man who didnât bother to get out of bed to debate a Socialist Party person on national telly calls young people lazy, more at 11.
They just want a government that supports the vulnerable...
David Cameron, explaining why the Conservative Party, the party behind the Bedroom Tax, cruel treatment of the disabled and robbing the poorest families of ÂŁ1300 a year, won the election
Disabled people should have to work their way out poverty and not simply be taken out of it by state financial assistance, Iain Duncan Smith has said. The Work and Pensions Secretary said it was not the role of government to pay the disabled enough to stop them being poor and that the correct way to escape poverty was by working. âWe donât think of people not in work as victims to be sustained on government handouts. No, we want to help them live lives independent of the state,â he told the annual Conservative party conference in Manchester.
Are cabinet ministers in a competition to see who can make the most appallingly inhuman speech?
Women are the backbone of this party, and unlike Jeremy Corbyn we have put them at the forefront of this government.
Nicky Morgan, one of only 68 female Conservative MPs, and member of a 3/4 male cabinet, compared to 99 female Labour MPs out of a smaller number of MPs overall, with a shadow cabinet that is majority women.

love the âhey prestoâ element here, with the anarchist flag coming down and then up for the big reveal
Can I just say that if any of my followers think that the behaviour of the protesters at conference was acceptable they can unfollow me now. I spoke to members of this fandom who were at conference and were too scared to stay but couldnât get to the train station to go home because of these loonies waiting outside. This âfree speech for all.. but only if I agree with what youâre sayingâ mentality is immature and disgusting, and this gif is a perfect example of it. This man wasnât doing anything wrong at that moment apart from having a different political standpoint to whatever yob threw the egg. How does that warrant assault? Grow up, the lot of you.
Labour supporters especially shouldnât condone this.
Just. Fuck. Off.
Shadow Chancellor John McDonnellâs Speech at the Labour Conference 2015
Posting Tory scaremongering now? How low can you get?
What? Iâm just showing what weâre up against! Iâm generally supportive of the new leader but we need to defend our credibility with proper arguments. Crying âscaremongering!!â doesnât work on the majority of the electorate.Â
Jeremy Corbyn in the 1980s vs David Cameron in the 1980s. I think this says it all.
The Conservativesâ first attack email on Jeremy Corbyn.Â
It begins.
Milibanter at the Question Time Labour leadership debate in September 2010
Canât wait till the debates for Conservative Leader. I take it the winner will be the one who doesnât turn up.
Right, yeah, a sincere inspiring man with a vision who actually cares about the young and the poor. So unelectable.
Those are good things, yes, I donât think the electorate has an issue with any of that. I just think itâs going to be very hard to persuade Britain or the Labour Party that leaving NATO, unilaterally disarming, or adopting the rest of Corbynâs foreign policy is a good idea. Itâs not come up much during the leadership contest but the Tories will be planning to attack it from day one. Â
