When I thought I was just getting a close up of ghost anemones, only to notice while triaging the 672(!) photos I got in that session that I captured the tear phase of longitudinal fission! When sea anemones divide by basically duplicating themselves aka ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION! Nature is queer, not a question! Santa Cruz, Ca
“Thank You Seagull” by Madeline Horwath on INPRNT
New find for me 2x! Mating Los Angeles Goniodorids. Santa Cruz, Ca.
Reminder: nature is queer, happy pride! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
happy pride month once again, here’s a redraw of this iconic medieval art
Okay, this is only my second multicolor print, but I think it came out quite nice. uwu
New find! A melancholic doto urak 🥹 with a head full of set curlers. Santa Cruz, Ca
Discodorididae sp. Bergh, 1891
Discodorids all look so similar this could honestly be Tayuva lilacina, Discodoris coerulescens or a juvenile Sebadoris fragilis and I wouldn't even know the difference.
Some warm up doodles that I’m really happy with 💜
When I tweak my camera settings and feel like I’ve unlocked a new level! Santa Cruz, Ca

Here it is, the poster for World Eel Day 2026! It's time again to celebrate eels of all sorts in any way you can!
Oh? "How do I part-eel-cipate?" you ask? Well, from the eel man himself:
"There are lots of ways to get involved with World Eel Day. Your eel inspired activities, photos, resources, art, outcomes, thoughts or messages can be shared online on all social media platforms with the hashtags #WorldEelDay2026 #WorldEelDay
For example, you could organise an eel event , draw or make an eel or write a story or a poem. Remember to tag or collaborate with @eelsuitcase on instagram"
Basically, get cr-eel-ative! (these are not my best work)
The 19th c Japanese artist Kuniyoshi Utagawa in this woodblock print has created a scene in which Japanese vegetables called “hozuzuki” are frightened by a corn ghost.
