hi so i’ve been thinking about doing this for awhile, but i’ve just never gotten around to it. with all the controversy around lea michele i decided it would be for the best if I changed her face claim to someone else. Pack your bags — the Exchange is back!

A handful of lucky students from three different universities have been given the opportunity to take part in this prestigious program. It is considered a marriage between business and pleasure — a chance to study abroad while taking one last shot at freedom and fun before their post-graduation responsibilities fully take hold.

The way that it works is simple. Each student will be matched with a partner, someone from a different school to stick close to and explore each new place with. These Exchange partners will change at each stop, ensuring that all students have a chance to mingle and get to know one another better while on this trip.

Adventure, heartbreak, friends and enemies alike — these are all guaranteed on the Exchange. Will this be the trip of a lifetime, or a never-ending nightmare?

ooc: so basically ever since exchange ended all those years ago, me and laura and amy have been periodically getting hit with these bouts of nostalgia for how amazing this place was, and how much fun we all had on the exchange. the timing was finally right for us, so we decided to bring it back! as you can see, it is a little different, but the essence and heart will always stay the same. we really look forward to stepping back into the exchange with you guys; watch this space for more updates, coming soon!

future!lacey para please?

the clicking of heels echoed through the halls of the high school. the sound was intimidating as you could almost feel the aggravation of the feet that filled them. the reason for the meeting was much less than surprising and had become more of a commonality at this point in the year. the school was about three weeks away from it’s winter break, but some people found that to be a reason to slack off. “you know, he gets this from you.” lacey replied as she met her curly-haired husband outside the door of their son’s history class. “me?” drew responded, crossing his arms defensively. “and why would you say that?” with a roll of her eyes and a small smirk upon her lips lacey opened the door. “because honey i never misbehave.”

  the husband and wife entered the classroom to see an older women sitting behind a cluttered desk, while their son sat patiently in his assigned classroom desk. “good afternoon cheryl.” lacey responded as her and drew sat next to their son in the classroom desks. “what’d he do this time?” drew remarked receiving a less than approving look from his wife. “mr. and mrs. anderson, so nice to see you again. surprised it’s not by better circumstances.” sarcasm oozed from the teacher’s voice. it was no wonder their son seemed to have such a bad attitude about this class in particular. “he hasn’t been doing his homework for the past couple of weeks, he comes in late and he is always acting up. i, quite frankly, am concerned it has to do with something other than school. which is why i brought you all in today. Carson, would you mind waiting outside?”

lacey listened intently as she awaited an answer to their problems. her and drew did everything to give their children a better life than they had been given, yet their son still acted up. the parents loved their son, but his behavior was becoming unacceptable in school. which made the situation even more difficult as lacey was a teacher at the school as well. “i believe his behavior might have something to do with something occurring at home.” the couple turned and faced each other, deciding who should be the first to correct the ignorance of the teacher sitting before them. “and what exactly does that mean?” drew replied sternly. “i mean, is everything going on well between you two? have them been an increase of arguments or..” as her voice drifted off you could feel the tension shared by the anderson’s. drew stood up from the desk. “are you f—” “are you kidding me?” lacey interrupted shooting out from the desk. “are you trying to insinuate that our parenting is the cause of this? because i assure you that that is an inaccurate assumption, as well being extremely inappropriate. especially from a colleague.” it was shown by the looks of drew’s expression that he had not expected his wife to have the sudden outburst. he took his hand into hers trying his best to come her down. “lace.” her finger shot up to signal that he needed to stop and that she was not finished. “my son’s behavior in your classroom has been unacceptable. that i understand, but what i will not tolerate is my family’s dynamic being put under a microscope because of it. maybe, my son wouldn’t be disruptive in your class if you did not feel the need to antagonize him and make him out to have some mischievous intention with everything he did. —i will be talking to him, because as a teacher i feel that he is not living up to his full potential and that is negatively impacting the class. We will not be having another meeting like this, because next time I will be speaking to the principle. Have a nice day.” her words were sharp and calculated. it was most likely the meanest lacey lewis, or anderson, had ever been. 

she was a raging mamma bear who was not going to let her family be pushed around by a lady who once said that she thought cats the movie was going to be a better adaption than the play. lacey ushered drew out of the classroom, hand in hand. as the left their son followed quietly behind them. “what happened?” he asked, hoping his mother’s anger was not in any way directed at him. “your teacher’s a bitch that’s what happened.” drew nodded his head at his wife’s reply. “let’s just say your mom ruined any chance at an A in your history class— or maybe she just helped you get one. hard to say really.” her husband’s voice showed he was on the edge of laughter, but he knew that now was not the time to be comedic. “no one accuses me of having a rocky marriage! our marriage is amazing!” “yeah it is baby you tell ‘em!” “and if i ever have to have another meeting like this again you’re getting shipped off to live in izzy’s basement!” “yeah you are!” lacey and drew’s tag-teamed parenting continued all the way home. since the two had gotten married their bond grew more and more. not only were the two in love, but they were best friends. partners in crime. tweedle dee and tweedle dumb. lacey had never for a second regretted settling down with drew. and although she had been worried about him being a father, she could see now that he was the most amazing father to both of their children. she loved him more than words could describe and while leaving that meeting drew knew he could have never married anyone else. lacey lewis had always been the one for him. and after that incident carson never had another problem at school for the rest of the year for fear that lacey’s unusual fit of rage would come back and bite his head off. lacey was never mad, and carson never wanted to see her like that again.

hi guys.. idk if anyone is ever even on here, but i was thinking about you all the other day because i saw lea michele on my tik tok and i just had to come give a life update (especially since it’s been so long).

so when i joined this rp i was like a freshman in high school probably, like i was SUPER young and super sad about just a lot of things and now i’m doing so well. i’m a junior in collage and i’m going to school for public relations/advirtising and possibly a minor in social work, but that’s still a little up in the air. i have a bunch of friends in collage and they’re all so loving and supportive (another reason high school SUCKED). i also just turned 21 like a couple weeks ago, so i go to the bars a lot and they’re alright.. still don’t see the point of having to pay to get in AND THEN pay for drinks like ?? but anyways i’m doing really great and i hope you are all doing well too. i miss you guys sm <3

WEDDING BELLS (FUTURE!LACEY)

THE MOMENT HAD ARRIVED— lacey lewis was getting married. she had always pictured herself as a more traditional bride, but her wedding day seemed to be anything but traditional. “are you sure you can’t see it?” the girl whispered to her two bridesmaids who were making some final adjustments to her dress. “I promise if you hadn't told me I wouldn’t have even been able to tell.” josie said as she fanned out the bottom of the dress. cassie nodded her head as she stood behind lacey, putting the veil neatly into her hair. lacey placed her hands gently around the small bump carrying her first child. “I’m sorry, this is supposed to be the day a women is , and I just feel like a giant whale.” lacey’s lip began to quiver. she was going to look back at the pictures of her wedding day and see all the things had not gone according to her original plan. “and everyone is going to think I'm scandalous for being pregnant out of wedlock.” the tears kept coming as she thought about all the things that could go wrong. the flowers could be the wrong color, the cake could go to the wrong place, her dress could tear, drew could decide not to go through with the wedding. “oh my gosh, has anyone talked to drew? does he still want to get married? —he probably doesn’t want to, I am a mess.” the girls rushed around her, trying to calm her down. but the pregnancy hormones had taken over, and there was no way to stop them from taking over completely. “lacey please, your make-up is going to run. I promise everything is going to be fine. —girls! out!” lissa rushed the bridesmaids out of the room, shutting the double doors behind her without explaining what she was going to do.

lacey sat on the floor in the dressing room, tissues scatted around her like a field of mascara stained flowers. at this point in the day she was crying alone for no reason other than the fact she just needed to let it all out. the girls had left ( obviously because she was too much to handle ) and the wedding was going to start any minute ( that was, if drew was even going to through with marrying her ). the wedding was a disaster and the only thing she was going to remember was that— there was a knock on the door. “lace?” drew’s soothing voice came from the other side of the door. “drew?” she sniffled as she made her way to the door. “can I come in?” he asked, his curly hair peeking through the open crack. “NO, it’s bad luck to see the bride in her wedding dress!” she turned around and rushed away from the door. “lace, babe, you’re having my baby I don’t think we’re really sticking with tradition here.” “but that’s what I wanted drew! I wanted traditional. and now I'm fat and scandalous” drew stood in awe as his bride paced around the room holding her bump, even at her most chaotic lacey lewis was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. “you’re gorgeous lace.” she stopped, turning towards her fiancé. in that moment every one of the worries disappeared. “really?” he nodded his head. the tears started up again as she rushed into his arms and placed a kiss on his lips. “I love you so much, you know that?” he smiled, “I love you too. now I gotta go... can’t keep the hot future mrs. anderson waiting.” lacey nodded her head, giving him one more kiss before letting him slip out the door. 

the wedding went off without a hitch. the two were so in love it brought the guest to tears. tune in next month for the next future!lacey para <3

ooc: if you could change something about how Exchange ended, what would it be?

edit: I would like to change the fact that no one saw duncan's fireman calendar ( he was october in case anyone forgot ) because who wouldn't want to see him covering his junk with a pumpkin #happyhalloweenamiright.. i also would like to have gotten to chance to really show the drew and lacey love story because it would have been so cute, gushy, and probably funny too.

FUN IN THE SUN | DUCEY AU

many of you ( mainly amy & allie ) were convinced that if i had not played duncan & lacey the two would have ended up together ( supposedly ). so to please the masses i wrote up an au about lacey & duncan getting together, their life after the exchange, their children, etc.

     the members of the exchange had been having a casual day at the beach where their newest house was located. it was right off the coast, beautiful from every angle; the girls had yet to leave the deck as they chose instead to sip on their frozen margaritas. most of the boys had started a touch football game in the sand. the shirts had come off and their bodies glistening from the mixture of sunscreen and sweat. the alcohol might have been getting to some of the ladies, as they watched their men play competitively in the sun. “ look jasper trying to play, isn’t he so cute? ” lissa pointed out to the other girls; her viewpoint shifted depending on how the game was going. as of late it had been her fussing over injuries that could possibly occur. “ —parker might actually be breaking a sweat trying to win this game.” cassie replied looking up from her book momentarily. alaska was on the edge of her seat cheering on the boys as they played. “YEAH KICK HIS ASS JACE!” she yelled, jumping from her seat only to return a second later. she sipped on her drink to hide her embarrassment. “what? i like sports..” the girls all laughed, and after a few more drinks the topics of conversation moved to something that was far from unusual for most of the girls.

     “—duncan is so delicious. i mean i thought he was with his shirt on but with his shirt off.” one of the girls commented fanning herself off as the blonde rushed down the “field” to score for his team. the rest of the table nodded their head in agreement. the boy was good looking, everyone could see that. “and he’s super nice too!” lissa pointed out, “he would make a great boyfriend for any of you. he has my lissa stamp of approval.” lacey’s eyes trailed over to where the boy was standing. he was cute: tall, muscular, athletically built. he looked like a professional athlete in her eyes. “is he seeing anyone?” she asked casually, hoping not to draw too much attention to the matter. which was not possible when with these girls. “no he’s not..” izzy replied suspiciously, leaning across the table. “lacey lewis is that interest i hear?” while lissa bounced up and down excitedly in her seat joise was the next to speak up for the table. “lacey he would be really cute with you! think of the height difference.” all the girls had now decided for her that duncan would make the perfect boyfriend for her. lissa had named herself captain of the ducey ship. making it her mission in life to hook the two up.

  “guys i was just curious i haven’t really even spoken to the guy..” but as lacey spoke those few words, the boy’s game had grown old and they all returned for drinks. the blonde made his way over to the girls. “man i should have stayed over here with you guys, that was way too much work.” he smiled, taking a drink of water with one cup and pouring the other on his head. duncan was one of those guys that was naturally good looking, but didn’t really notice much of himself. “i think i’m going to take dip, cool off a bit. anyone want to join.” before getting a chance to say anything more on the topic, lissa blurted out: “ lacey wants to! ” the petite girl turned a light pink, waving her hand a little. “ ha, yes, i guess i want to go.” she rose from her seat and walked along with duncan as they headed for the water. hunter and elliot looked to the water, “ i think joining them would be fun. el? ” the girls shook their heads. “ no! because...” all the girls came up with different answers, but alaska declared they were going to be building sandcastles. it would be much more fun than the ocean.

   meanwhile lacey was trying her best to stay above water. the ocean waves looked so pretty from far away but now that she was next to them the waves seemed much more dangerous than beautiful. the size of the waves were almost the size of her, and pushed her back repeatedly. “ so would now be a good time to mention that i’m really not that great of a swimmer? “ lacey said with a small giggle as the water pushed her once again into duncan’s arms. “ really? i couldn’t tell. “ he responded with a laugh. “ don’t worry i’ll save you from drowning. sharks though.. “ lacey laughed until she thought about the sea creatures that could be lurking in the water. “ are there really going to be sharks? “ duncan shrugged, another save pushing the girl back against him as they laughed together. “ that’s really comforting, thanks duncan. “  “ anything to make you feel better. “ the two of them continued like that until the sun started to set talking about everything from movies to whether sharks were gay dolphins or if dolphins were gay sharks like it had been said at one point. after they had started talking lacey could confidently admit that duncan was in fact as nice as everyone said he was. he had this aura around him that felt like you were his friend even if he didn’t know you. it was a general kindness that lacey commonly looked for in friends and significant others. if she could sense good character in you, she would trust you with the world. she was nice like that. which unknown to her duncan admired. 

   as the day turned to night the two had left the ocean and instead sat in the sand, looking out into the blue seas. the rest of the house had started up a bonfire and had forgotten where the two had even gone off to. “ i’ve had a really great time with you lace. “ duncan admitted, giving the girl a small smile. “ me too. “ lacey took this moment to casually slip her hand into his, and in return the boy intertwined their fingers. “ you have a great smile has anyone ever told you that? “ he asked, shifting a little closer to her. “no?” she replied with a large smile. in all reality many people had complimented her smile but it was something different with him. “has anyone ever told you that your eyes are very blue? like the sky almost.” duncan smiled shaking his head. “no, never.” the same went for him as it did for lacey, when she complimented him it was different than anyone else. it was special. and so was their kiss. it was simple, nothing too dramatic. their lips just connected for a short moment; it was sweet and genuine. just like the two of them. afterwards they joined the party, and the rest was history.

summary of the future: they dated until the groups end, and decided to move in together back in the united kingdom. they got married a few years later and had three children: parker, clay ( izzy cough cough ), and ( will cough cough) liam. duncan went on to be a guidance councilor for his former school to keep kids from feeling the way the kid had when he shot the students and himself. lacey taught at the same school but specialized in helping problem kids because she ( like duncan ) wanted to help and all the students thought they were goals because they would eat lunch together and be just gushy and cute. ugh. 

but ya odd mix on the kids i couldn’t find any fcs that weren’t in the rp lmao
