Leon Kennedy x Wife!Reader. Leon's daughter goes on her first date and Leon isn't taking it well. 1000 words.
It was the day every father feared and Leon, despite having faced many terrifying scenarios, was unprepared for this.
His daughter was going on her first date.
It was fine. He was fine. She was fifteen now, a perfectly normal time for a girl to start going on dates. That didn't make it any easier hearing her rush around her room getting ready for it.
Leon was currently sitting in the living room, trying to take his mind off of it all by doing some routine maintenance on Requiem. It was important to keep your firearms clean and in good working order or else it end up failing you when you needed it...like if this punk taking out his daughter turned out to be a bastard.
You walked into the living room with a smile on your face. "Oh the first date jitters, it's so cute seeing her fussing so much."
You spotted what Leon was doing and your smile disappeared, hands landing on your hips. "Honey, do your guns need polishing right now?"
"When else should I clean them?" he asked, not looking up from his task.
"Maybe after Hope has left for her date." You plopped down onto the couch next to him. "Put the scary gun away, you're not going to intimidate her date."
"Who said anything about intimidation?"
"Leon," you warned. "He's a sweet boy."
"He barely got a C minus in English on his last report card, how can we be sure he understands the word 'no' or anything else with such a bad understanding of the English language?" Leon muttered.
"C minus? How do you know--oh for goodness sake. Leon, tell me you did not use your agency connections to hack into the school database to look at his grades."
"You are so over protective it is painful." you plucked the cleaning rag from his hands. "He's a perfectly normal boy and our daughter likes him a lot. So you are going to be a nice and supportive father and not scare him when he comes to pick her up. Got it?"
With a sigh Leon got up to put the gun away. He knew you were right but it didn't help him any.
Eventually Hope came racing downstairs in a nice and normal outfit. Jeans, blouse, cardigan, and purse. "Mom! Does this look okay?"
"You look beautiful, sweetie." You fixed a stray hair on her head. "He's a very lucky boy."
"Thanks mom." Hope turned to Leon. "Dad, you're not gonna do anything to scare him, right?"
Leon glanced at you and you leveled him with a glare. He let out a small sigh and nodded. "Best behavior. I promise. But if he does something or says something to make you uncomfortable you call me straight away. Understood?"
"Yes, dad. I will call you if anything goes wrong, though I assure you nothing will."
There was a knock at the door and before either you or Leon could take a single step to answer it Hope had already dashed to the front door. There was a young boy on the other side, tall in a reedy kind of way, red hair, clean shirt, pants weren't sagging past his ass.
"Hi," Hope was bubbling with excitement.
"Hi," the boy responded. He pulled a flower out from behind his back. "This is for you."
"Thank you so much! That's so sweet!" Hope gushed and Leon felt his eye start to twitch. You grabbed his arm to settle him and he remembered to breathe.
Hope stepped back. "Come in. I'll go put this in some water real quick then we can leave."
The boy spotted you and Leon standing further in and smiled nervously. "Hello, I'm Jake."
"Nice to meet you, Jake. It was very nice of you to bring flowers on a first date, classy move."
"Thank you ma'am." Jake turned his gaze to Leon and visibly gulped. "Nice to meet you too, sir." He stuck his hand out.
Leon took it after a beat, squeezing harder than was strictly necessary. "Likewise."
The poor boy retracted his hand as quickly as could be polite, flexing his fingers a few times to return feeling to the appendages. You rolled your eyes at Leon's display but didn't say anything. It was tamer than polishing Requiem in the boy's face at least.
Hope returned with a skip in her step. "Ready to go?" she asked.
"Uh huh," Jake cleared his throat. "It was nice meeting you Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy."
"You too, Jake," you said. "And Hope, remember, curfew is nine thirty. Any later than that and I'm letting your dad hunt you down."
"I got it, I won't stay out late." Hope groaned, embarrassment flooding her features. "Can we go now?"
"Of course. Have fun." You nodded to them both.
"We will." Hope gave you and Leon a hug before leaving.
He held on a little tighter, a difficult emotion clawing at his throat. "Be safe, sweet pea."
"I will." She pressed a kiss to his cheek. "Love you."
"Love you too." He let her go and watched as she walked out the door without a single glance back.
Leon's shoulders sagged. You placed a hand on his back. "Honey? You okay?"
He let out a shaky breath. "When did she grow up?"
"Aw, baby." You hugged him tight. "She's still your daughter, you know that. No matter how old she gets, she'll always be her daddy's little girl."
"I didn't think it would hurt this much." It felt like just yesterday he had brought her home from the hospital.
"That's the pain of being a parent I'm afraid." You laced your hand with his. "But there is one advantage to having her out of the house and that is that we get to have a romantic night in. Doesn't that sound nice?"
Leon smiled again. "It does." He followed as you tugged him into the kitchen to start making a nice dinner. His eye caught a family portrait of him and you and Hope when she was just a little kid, one of her front teeth missing and holding tight to you and Leon's hands.
You were right. No matter how old Hope gets, she'll always be his little girl.
just to reiterate for people but if you are a spam liker with zero reblogs on your page and/or your last reblog was more than four months ago i am automatically blocking you.

Leon Kennedy x Girlfriend!Reader. You have your first date with Leon. 1400 words.
This is a sequel prompt to Day 1 and is part of my Crawl Home to Her universe.
This was a bad idea.
Leon was sitting in his car outside a coffee shop, hands gripping the steering wheel so hard his knuckles had gone white. He tried to do those breathing exercises recommended to him and ended up just giving up halfway and burying his face in his hands.
It was just a date. A simple, no stress date. He had gone on plenty of dates before. He shouldn't be sitting in his car worrying about it all like he's a teenager that asked out his crush.
That's how it felt though. From the moment he had realized that you were flirting his heart had been in his throat. There was something about you that made everything feel normal. He didn't feel like an agent or a haunted husk of a man. He just felt like a regular guy trying to get his life together.
A lot of that probably had to do with how you treated him like he was anyone else even though it was obvious he was plagued by demons. You didn't diminish what he was feeling but you didn't pity him or ignore it either. You simply let him be as he was and gave gentle understanding and encouragement while he worked on himself.
It had been a few months since you had met at that AA meeting and he hated to admit it but it was mainly because of you that he kept coming back every week. He also came for them help the meetings offered but a lot of it was just to see you again. He'd never forget that smile you gave him when you saw he showed up the next week.
He has been making great progress too and it has been months since he last drank. There were rough nights still but he was able to keep himself from picking up a bottle to get through them. It wasn't easy but he did feel better not being drunk or wanting a drink all the damn time.
It was only because of the progress he made that he felt confident enough to ask you out for coffee. You had been flirting mildly at meetings, had even swapped numbers under the pretense of offering a listening ear if he needed one. Then a few days ago he asked and you said yes and he needed to get out of his car so he could go on this date!
He had made it here early, terrified of being late, and now with five minutes left to go until you were supposed to show up he was stuck. Just get out of the car, Kennedy! Be a regular guy!
There was a knock on his window and he startled, head snapping up to see who or what was outside. It was you, you jumped a little at his sudden motion. Be a regular guy, Leon.
He got out of the car. "Hi," he said. "You're here."
"I am. Sorry if I startled you, I saw you when I pulled in and I got worried cause you were looking kind of tense. Everything okay?" You asked.
Leon looked you over and felt his heart literally skip a beat in his chest. You were in a nice sundress and cardigan that made you look as warm and soft as your voice was. The word pretty didn't even cover it but it was the only word in his head.
"Everything's fine." he cleared his throat. "You look very nice."
"Thank you. You're looking well too." You fidgeted with the sleeves of your cardigan.
"Would you like to go inside?"
You smiled and gave a nod. "I'd love to." You turned and waited for him to fall into step next to you as you entered the cafe. You went up to the counter and ordered, Leon insisted on paying for the both of you. When your drinks were ready you sat down at a table in the corner, partially hidden behind a tall potted plant.
You sipped idly at your drink and Leon gripped the mug in his hands tightly without taking a single sip. Any topics of conversation that he had logged in his brain had abandoned him in the moment he needed them. So he went on instinct.
"The weather is nice today."
You shrugged, "Nice temperature, a little cloudy though. I hear it's supposed to storm later."
"I heard that too." You lapsed into silence again.
Leon was gonna kill himself. It was the only way out of this with his dignity intact. He was how old and the best he could do for conversation was talking about the weather?
"Hey," you tapped his hand, drawing his attention back to you, your expression easy and your smile curling with the wisps of steam coming off your drink. "Don't overthink it. It's just me, you don't need to change the way you talk to me just cause we're on a date."
Leon let out a deep breath, the tension keeping his jaw locked tight easing. "Sorry, been a while since I've tried being a regular guy on a first date."
"That's nothing to be worried about. I haven't been on a date in years either," you said. "I've had a bad habit of picking guys that were no good for me so I've been avoiding even trying since I got sober. I only wanted to focus on myself and my recovery."
Leon knew some of your story from what you talked about during meetings. You had been raised in a strict household and rebelled by sneaking out to parties and drinking heavily as a teenager and it only got worse when you were old enough to move out. Years spent being a wild child, never settling and always bouncing around with different crowds before you hit your rock bottom and decided to get sober.
Leon hadn't really heard about what your dating history must have been like during that period of your life but from what you hinted at he could guess it wasn't great. There was a pain there that you weren't ready to share with him just yet.
"Yet you said yes to me." Leon said.
Your face brightened. "I did."
"Can I ask why, if after all this time you've been avoiding dating, why go out with me?"
You tapped your fingers against your mug in a mindless rhythm. "Well there's the long answer and the short answer. The long answer is that I feel like I've gotten to know you pretty well over the past few months and I admire who you are as a person. I trust that you are someone kind and honest and so unlike all the people I've dated before. And I wanted the chance to get to know you even better."
Leon wasn't expecting such an honest response. You didn't even look embarrassed by it.
"And what is the short answer?"
"I just like you." Your hand was resting on the table.
Leon rested his hand over top of yours. "I like you too."
"That's nice to hear." you maneuvered your hand slightly so your fingers were loosely intertwined, resting on the table between you both. "And what about the long answer?"
"I..." he gazed at your hands then back at your face, waiting patiently for his response. "I feel calm around you and that's not something I get a lot. You treat me like a regular guy and...I like how kind you are. You care about others so much and I can't help but admire that. There is a passion and joy for life that flows out of you and I love seeing it. If there was a chance that I could get to know someone that bright then I'd think myself lucky indeed."
You squeezed his hand just a little, your head bowing to try and hide your embarrassed smile. "Why do I get the feeling you used to be quite the heart breaker?"
"Not a heart breaker, ma'am. Just a man that doesn't like to beat around the bush." He cleared his throat. "In your opinion, is this going well for a first date?"
You nodded. "I think a second one is in your future."
Leon couldn't hold back a smile, not when the sun was shining through the window, haloing you in warm light. Not with your hand in his and your eyes bright and warm staring back at him like you were the only two people in this coffee shop.
Leon Kennedy x Wife!Reader. After Leon learns you're pregnant he decides to baby proof the house. 400 words.
"Leon, my dear, my sweet, my love, I say this with all the love and respect in my heart, but I think you're going a little overboard with the babyproofing." You were currently sitting on your couch as you watched your husband maneuver around the living room padding every sharp corner in sight.
"I am taking necessary precautions." He was assessing the coffee table before him. "Maybe it'd be simpler to get new furniture. Why are all the corners on everything we own so sharp?"
"You are not replacing my furniture. And you are overthinking this. It's going to be a long time before the baby is even here, nevermind when they're gonna be capable of moving around. You don't need to be doing this now."
From the moment you told Leon you were pregnant it was like the man had gone into nesting mode. It was sweet, it really was, but you were currently three months into this pregnancy and his hovering was already getting on your nerves.
"I recognize that, but I also know the second we slack off on it and leave it for later then we're going to forget and next thing you know the baby's covered in bruises and cuts from bumping into all this sharp furniture." Leon said as he put another pad on the coffee table corner.
"Leon, darling, come here," you gestured for him.
He set the padding down and joined you on the couch. You took his hand and rested it on your belly. The tension in his shoulders eased as he leaned on you, his thumb stroking the baby bump that was starting to become visibly prominent on your person.
"I know you're worried, but it's going to be okay." you told him, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "They have you for a dad, I know you'll do anything to keep them safe."
His eyes closed, a deep breath leaving him. "I don't want anything to hurt them."
"You can't go through life without getting a few booboos. You should know that more than anyone," you teased.
Leon looked back at you, an unamused look on his face. You bit back a wide smile. He shook his head. "Maybe I can take down some of the babyproofing..." he muttered.
Leon Kennedy x Fem!Reader. After a particularly bad bender Claire drags Leon out of his apartment and forces him to go to an AA meeting. He doesn't expect anything of it until he meets you.
Content warnings: PTSD. Discussions of alcoholism. (As a warning this isn't very funny or fluffy. It is literally his day 1 of getting sober and just so happens to meet his future wife while doing it.)
a/n: this is sorta a prequel prompt to my short Crawl Home to Her fic, flushing out how Leon and Reader met in that universe.
It started with a single beer. Something to take the edge off after a rough mission. Then it turned into two then three then four more beers cracked and drained as the world began to numb around him. Breathing became easier, the world was slower, the horrors were further away.
Leon thought that would be it for the night but then when night fell and he passed out on the couch the nightmares came. Maybe they wouldn't be so bad if when he woke up he knew they were just dreams. But they were never just his imagination. They were real. Memories of blood and rot and death.
Pain that echoed from the past and hit him so hard it robbed the air from his lungs. So many people he had failed. So many lives he couldn't save. All his failures slamming back into him as they replayed over and over and over again without fail each and every night.
He stumbled off the couch, reaching the fridge and pulling out yet another beer. He slammed it quick before realizing this would not be enough and reached for the stronger stuff in the cabinet. On nights like this he didn't even bother with cups. Didn't bother pretending that he was trying to steady his nerves.
He wanted to drown.
So he did. Until the pain stopped, until the world was nothing but muted colors and muffled noise. The only thing he could feel was the burn as the liquor went down his throat.
Leon wasn't sure how long his spiral lasted. He wasn't expected on another mission for a while so he wasn't being careful. He only wanted a few days of peace before it all came crashing down on him again.
What Leon had forgotten was that Claire said she was going to come by for a visit. When he failed to answer his phone she let herself into his apartment and was appalled by the state she found the place and Leon in. It was the final straw as far as she was concerned and went about cleaning him up and sobering him up. Any alcohol that remained in the house was dumped and she was force feeding him food it soak up everything in his stomach.
Frankly, she was not happy. She was also scared. She had known Leon for a long time now and considered him a good friend which is why it killed her to see him like this. He had never really processed what happened in Raccoon City in a way he should have. He threw himself into training as a distraction, charging forward one mission at a time to forget everything he loathed about himself.
Leon hated seeing her fretting over him. He tried to assure her he could handle himself and that she didn't need to hover over him but he had made promises like that before. Promised that he'd be more careful, that he'd stop drinking as much, and he never followed through. He always ended up right back here. They both knew it and Claire wasn't about to give this up without a fight.
Which is how Leon found himself standing in the doorway to a church basement on a Saturday night. Alcoholics Anonymous. People that supposedly understood what he was going through, at least in terms of his drinking problem.
He promised Claire he'd go but he was stuck now. These people all looked so normal and almost cheerful despite the somber prerequisite needed to be an attendee.
One meeting. That's what he promised. With a deep breath he stepped inside. One of the members approached him, introducing themselves and giving him the normal spiel about the meetings and welcoming him with a smile.
God, why did he do this? "If you're peckish there is coffee, water, and donuts over there." the man that Leon had already forgotten the name of pointed to one of those plastic folding tables with a cheap plastic table cloth over top it.
That was the moment he saw you. You were standing by the table, a powdered donut in one hand and the other scrolling through your phone. Leon stepped closer, intending to get some coffee when he noticed you had some powdered sugar stuck to your cheek.
"You got some," he started to say before realizing he maybe should have said anything else first. Introduced himself maybe. At least said hi.
You glanced up at him, confused. "Sorry, did you need something?"
"Oh, no, I was just trying to tell you that you have some sugar on your face." he pointed to his own cheek.
"Ah," you wiped it off. "Thanks. I don't think I've seen you here before, this your first meeting ever or your first meeting in a while?"
"Ever," he sighed. "I promised my friend I would come."
"Let me guess, feeling awkward and almost like you don't actually need to be here?" You said.
"That obvious."
"It's how a lot of us start." you shrugged. You turned back to the table. "Coffee?"
"Please." You poured him a cup and handed it to him. "I'm Leon."
"Pleasure to meet you, Leon. What do you like to do?" you asked.
He had to admit, the question threw him off. He was expecting many different people and speeches out of tonight. He expected to be asked how long he had been drinking. How long was he sober now. How did drinking affect his life. But your question was so mundane, so simple and it didn't prompt him into talking about his addiction.
For some reason, that unsettled him more. Maybe it should have put him at ease being treated like a normal person, and there was a part of him that wanted to feel that. He wanted to relax, put his guard down, and just have a normal conversation. But he was already stumped on how to answer your very normal question because Leon could not remember doing anything for leisure except drinking.
His life was work and when he wasn't working he was drinking trying to forget about what he saw at work. He could say he liked watching movies. He often passed out in front of the tv after drinking himself unconscious. He doubted that would count though.
Something else that unsettled him was how perceptive you were because you noticed that he was hesitating longer than any normal person should have. You didn't act confused but you didn't look at him with pity either. There was a quiet understanding that you read on his face about everything he wasn't saying.
So you smiled and continued on like he hadn't just froze. "It can be hard finding time for hobbies as an adult. I tried to get into yoga for three months before finally deciding that it just wasn't going to happen on a consistent schedule. So now I do newspaper crosswords instead, it's an easier commitment."
Leon didn't know what it was about what you said but it lifted some weight of expectation from his shoulders and he found his tongue again. "Oh, I like the sudokus."
"I try to do the sudoku too but I always end up getting confused somewhere. I'm much better with random trivia." You answered with an easy smile. You glanced at the ring of chairs as everyone began sitting down. "Looks like we're about to start. You can sit next to me, Leon."
Leon followed, dumbfounded. He sank into the metal folding chair next to yours, coffee still full and going cold in his hands. The meeting began, Leon introduced himself but didn't say much more outside of that he had been sober for three days now and was here because his friend urged him to come. There was the usual talk of people congratulating him for taking the first step to recovery and offering encouragement and expressing that this was a safe space. Then they moved on, other people introducing themselves and talking about their experiences with drinking and how it affected their lives.
Leon found he was paying very close attention to you when you spoke up. "I am currently two years sober this month," you announced to light applause. "I know that two years ago I would have wept thinking about the life I am living now. I remember that scared, dependent girl who just wanted to shut out the entire world. I didn't think I deserved anything nice back then and there are some days I wake up and I have those thoughts mumbling in the back of my head. I think about how easy it would be to drown them out with another drink. But then I realize that it is only just a mumble. Two years ago it would have been screaming at me with a megaphone until I grabbed a bottle."
Leon's fists clenched and unclenched as he listened to your story. He knew not to judge a book by its cover but from the moment he saw you you looked so normal. Everyone here did. It was hard to imagine that all these very normal nice people suffered and struggled the same way he did. Sure, they hadn't experienced exactly what he did but each of them had their own stories, their own horrors and nightmares at night that drove them to drink.
It kind of hit him then, watching you, listening to you open up about how much happier you were sober and how you never thought you'd make it to this point that he realized something. He wasn't special. His experiences were unlike yours but what he saw didn't excuse his problems. Claire had seen exactly what he had seen and she didn't drink. Chris had gone through terrible experiences of his own and he still managed to have a life outside of work, he still had people he wanted to spend time with. There was nothing special about Leon that exempted him from the responsibility of taking care of himself.
He was an agent but he could still have a life. He had seen horrors beyond comprehension but if he wanted to, he could choose to work through his issues instead of bury them down.
The realization did make him a little nauseous. There was the knee jerk reaction to justify himself, make excuses, downplay it all, but it didn't erase the truth. The kick in the head that finally opened his eyes and made him realize he had problems and they needed addressed before they destroyed him.
The meeting ended and everyone started to stand up and get ready to leave. Before Leon could make his escape though you stopped him with a tap on his shoulder.
"Hey, I don't know if you're gonna come next week but even if you don't you've earned this." You pressed a plastic coin in his hand.
"Wow, I didn't think these were real." Leon inspected the sobriety coin. It had the number 24 printed on it. At least 24 hours sober.
"They are very real." You chuckled. "And you said you've been sober for three days so you've earned this one at least. I hope I see you at the next meeting, Leon."
"Yeah. Thank you." He closed his fist around the coin. You offered him one last smile and left. Leon let out a deep breath, the 24 printed on the coin seemed to burn into his palm.
Leon Kennedy x Wife!Reader. Leon leaves work early after hearing his daughter got in a fight at school. 1000 words.
This is set in the same universe as Crawl Home to Her but you don't need to have read that to read this. Daughter's name is Hope and she's maybe 8 years old here.
There were few things that made Leon leave work early. Getting a call from his daughter's school that said she was in a fight would though. He barely gave any warning that he was leaving before he was out of the building and heading to the school.
When he got there Hope was sitting in the office, her hair no longer in the pristine condition you had arranged it that morning, her clothes rumpled, bandaids on her knees and an ice pack on her hand.
When Leon stepped in and Hope saw him she curled into herself, head bowed. With a sigh he sat down next to her. "Hey kiddo," he said, "wanna tell me what happened before I hear it from the principal?"
"It wasn't my fault," Hope muttered. "Evan's the one who started it."
The infamous Evan once again. "Was he pushing people off the swings again?"
Hope nodded. "I stood up to him and told him to stop or I would tell the teacher like you told me to, but he didn't listen. He pushed Maggie off the swing and when I said I was gonna tell he threw pebbles at me. So I punched him."
Bit of a jump from pebbles to punching but Leon wasn't about to say that. He was proud of his little girl for standing her ground and not letting herself get pushed around.
"And then?" Leon asked.
"And then he hit me back and we started fighting until the teachers stopped us." Hope wiped her nose. "And he told the teacher I started it when I didn't! He's such a buttface!"
"He sounds like a buttface." He pulled the ice pack off her hand. A little bruised but nothing too bad. "How'd he look?"
Hope grinned. "Worse."
"Good." Leon whispered as the door to the principal's office opened. The boy that Leon assumed was Evan came out with his parents on either side of him.
Hope was not kidding. She came away with some scratches and bruises but this boy had two tissues stuffed up his nose to stop them from bleeding, a black eye, and thicker bandages on his knees indicating a deeper injury.
The parents saw Leon sitting next to Hope and scowled at him. "I assume you're her father?" The mother said.
"Yes, ma'am. I am."
"What kinds of things are you teaching her that she'd attack someone so viciously like that? Just look at my son! She did this! I expect an apology!" She fumed.
Leon looked at the parents and then glanced down at the kid. Despite being beaten to a pulp he looked very smug, that was until he saw Leon's intense stare studying him. He pushed himself behind his parent's legs after that.
Leon sighed. "I am sorry that your son is injured but I am not apologizing for what my daughter did nor will I make her apologize for it."
"Excuse me," the dad sputtered. "You condone this?"
"Your son has been bullying kids on the playground for weeks now. My daughter asked him politely to stop. It was your son who ignored her reasonable demands and escalated the situation by pushing another young girl off the swing and then throwing rocks at my daughter." Leon stood up. The full height and width of his physique taking up the entirety of the space between them and the door out of the office. "If anything, the one that should be apologizing is your son to everyone that he has been hurting, including Hope."
"How--how dare you!" The mother stammered out. "He was minding his own business when your hellion--"
"Hope!" You came rushing in, hitting Leon in the back with the door as you swung it open. "Sorry honey--Hope! Sweetie!" You knelt down in front of your daughter. "Did you win?"
Leon sighed. "Baby, maybe that's not the first thing we ask when we hear our daughter got in a fight? But yes, she did."
"That's my girl!" You gave your daughter a high five to the shock and horror of the other parents and the principal waiting to talk to you both.
"Mrs. Kennedy," the principal spoke up. "I implore you not to reward such violent behavior--"
"If my daughter got into a fight it was either in self defense or in the aid of helping or standing up for another. Is that what happened?" You asked Hope.
"Evan pushed Maggie off the swing then threw rocks at me," Hope said. "So I punched him."
"See. He started it and since this is not the first time I've heard about this student bullying other kids on the playground I assume that you are finally going to do something to punish him." You joined Leon's side, staring down the opposing parents.
"My son is the victim here!" Evan's mom snapped. "He shouldn't be punished!"
"If neither you nor the school see fit to punish him for continually bullying others then I'm sure we could bring in the parents of Maggie and every other child he's been mean to and see if they feel like your son is the victim still." You said, your lethal gaze unblinking and serious.
The principal realized things were quickly spinning out of their control and switched tactics. "Maybe we should all take a breath and discuss this rationally, no reason to get so many people involved. I'm sure we can settle this among ourselves."
"That's up to them." You motioned for Hope to stand up. "As for me, I am going to take my daughter for ice cream to congratulate her on standing up for herself. Come along, sweetie."
Hope took your hand and you both left the office. Leon waited a beat, turned to the others that were watching him with scared and timid expressions. "Mr. Kennedy," they began, "is there a chance you could speak with your wife about all of this?"
"I don't think there's much else to discuss. Either Evan receives punishment for bullying or we call in the others that he's bullied and you'll have more than just two unhappy parents on your back." Leon opened the office door to follow you. "Now if you'll excuse me, I believe I need to buy my daughter some ice cream."
What if you had been thinking about meatloaf all day and your favorite local restaurant was having a meatloaf special. So you are looking forward to going to the restaurant and ordering their meatloaf special all day and you are on your period so it is the only thing that sounds good so this is a godsend. Then you get to the restaurant and ask for the meatloaf and they tell you they are out of meatloaf. They just ran out of meatloaf and they do not even have the ingredients to make more. Would that destroy you? Cause it destroyed me and I am going to go kill goblins in BG3 to cope with this devastating loss.🥲
