      The Ruby heard Laci whisper, but couldn’t quite decipher what was whispered.  But Ruby could pick up on it being something sad, since the Lapis Lazuli started to look disappointed, stars, hopefully she wasn’t upset with her!  She shivers when Laci speaks up louder all of a sudden, surprised by the change in volume.

      “Wait?  Eh.. forgive me but.. wh-why would you need to wait?”  Asked the smaller red gem, scurrying back over to her ship where Lapis flew to.  “I said that I-I could fly you back.. in my ship.. here” she points with a single finger to the ship she’s standing out of, and that Laci is sitting on top.

     ❝   Oh, forget about that. ❞    She chuckles, trying to shake it off.   ❝ After all this time I deserve a break.  ❞   Besides there’s no use going back now, clearly Homeworld has no need for her now. Perhaps she just has to wait a bit longer... stretch out the leave just an inch more. They will need a Lapis Lazuli eventually.. hopefully..  

    ❝  Why don’t you stay with me for a while? ❞    Laci suggested, now trying to lie down on ship sunbathing. She believed it to be a pretty cool gesture but in reality it just looked plain uncomfortable, nearly sliding off of the vessel.

   ❝  Oh.. we haven’t met.. yet.  ❞    No wait, that couldn’t be right.   ❝  Or, I mean.. technically we are meeting right now..  ❞     These kinds of conversations were never her strong point and it showed!   However she tried to keep her nervousness at bay.   ❝   I’m Laci by the way..  ❞

      Ruby 9XB was startled by the sudden voice addressing her.  Who?  What?  Oh stars!  The foot soldier would be surprised upon the realization that it was a Lapis Lazuli who addressed her!  A type of gem highly regarded back on her home planet.  “Oh, I-I.. I was.. s-sent on a.. uh.. piloting mission.”  Technically to practice her ship piloting, so she wasn’t wrong, just stuttered through most of her wording.

      “Y-Yes, I am from our Homeworld” answered the smaller gem, puzzled by the later question.  “Uh.. n-no, I-I was just.. supposed to pilot.. b-but if you want to go back, I-I could drive you.”

   ❝  Oh.. ❞   Laci replies off-hand, trying to disguise the disappointment in her voice. Perhaps it was silly to think they would send an escort specifically for her. Homeworld has more important Gems to attend to, certainly she won’t be missed. Yet..  she couldn’t help but share a fragment of the let-down out loud.       ❝   I guess they don’t miss me then. ❞     She says, barely whispering and holding on to her own arm in comfort. 

   ❝  --But that is fine! ❞   She says in an almost a complete tonal shift, a voice louder than before.   ❝  I will just wait here until they do need me. ❞     And with that she summoned up two waterwings like only a Lapis could. Using them to leap over to the ship, finding a place to position herself to sit close to the Ruby.        ❝   Looks like we’re both going to be here for a while.  ❞    She just assumes, as there was no way to indicate for how long the Ruby was planning on staying.    Laci just kind of hoped.. naively.

Sunset had to politely stiffle the giggle that threatened to escape her as the gem made mention of the fire colored hair. While this one wasn’t the first gem she had come across, this one seemed different then the others she had met in the past. So, giving her hair a slight pat, she gave the gem a smile saying, "Nope. I’m all human.“ 

For the most part, anyways.

"I appreciate it though, but I’m not a gem. My name is Sunset.”

    Sunset-- like a sunstone!!   She nearly gasped at her latest conspiracy before a big  NO   popped up in her head.  Come on Laci that is rude. This person already expressed who she was, so doubting her isn’t going to move either of you forward. ( Even if the thought was kind of exciting. )         ❝  I like that name. ❞   She says.   ❝   I’m Lapis Lazuli.. but I mostly go by Laci because of.. ease I guess. ❞    Felt more natural in a sense, especially on this planet. Choosing a name of your own it was pretty um--   radical, as some may say.

An inquisitive tilt of her head, almost feline-like, and Sardonyx’s smile grows by the minute. Her four, doe-brown eyes watch as Laci’s makeshift wave settles, sending a spray of salt into the balmy air. The fusion inhales softly and exhales with a near-dreamy sigh of content. 

“‘Nothing of importance?’” How could the latter possibly say that? As if manipulating the very motion of the sea is something to scoff at. Sardonyx can’t help but chuckle a little. “My dear what you were just doing was absolutely EXTRAORDINARY. I have heard of Lazulis’ abilities to control water however I have never seen it up close myself. It is REMARKABLE!” 

Her excitement is evident in the gleam of her eyes behind stylish shades. 

“Never write off your talents, darling. If you are having fun then it is rather important, isn’t it?” Sardonyx moves to sit, crossing her legs before her. She extends a gloved hand to shake, the bowtie nestled under her chin fluttering in the breeze. 

“My name is Sardonyx. I am an ENTERTAINER, a PERFORMER, whatever you may call it. APPLAUSE is my fun!” She reveals her gap-tooth smile as she dips down in a short bow. “The pleasure is all mine. Now, I’d love to see some more of that WONDROUS TALENT of yours!” 

    ❝   --Oh! Okay! Well if you insist...❞  And so, by simply reaching out for the ocean and the wave of a hand, the sea managed to follow her movements perfectly. As if Laci were about to conduct a play of water and grace, creating bigger and smaller waves the likes of a perfectly synchronized dance. That is what she was going for anyway. 

           ❝   What do you think? ❞   She asks while the play continues on in the background.

Cheeky should’ve known better then to try and challenge a Lapis Lazuli of all gems! She stared up at the giant fist and squeaked in fear and didn’t know what to do next. But she wasn’t gonna let herself be pushed down so easily!

Aiming her left arm at Laci her floating fingers seemed to circle in a strange movement before creating her blaster. Maybe this would show she can put up a fight as well! She may not be as strong as the other gem but she can fight,playfully to if needed to be. “That’s impressive but I think I can take you on!” Cheeky’s grin had returned slightly.

    ❝  --Oh! COOL! ❞    Laci exclaimed at the sight and sound of a blaster charging up. But that was only for one lightning quick second however. Now this, was an invitation to a challenge and Laci was more than willing to take it on. 

  So with one quick wave of her hand she managed to manipulate the water surrounding her. Aiming it right at the Peridot in the shape of a giant hand, the pushed her away with a force as great as the size of it. There was no way Cheeky could still be standing up from that but Laci still ran towards her after the matter, kneeling down besides. 

      ❝  You got more? ❞
