     “Uh.. okay..” Black Star replied, not entirely convinced by their answer.  Stars, this person was confusing her.  But then with a tap, they made a loud ticking noise!  “Oh, I can do that to!  But I have to touch my gem-” pausing, Black Star opened up her left hand and tapped it with a finger, making a small clink.”

               “Okay so it’s not as loud as your’s, but still, I did it!”

  ❝   Eh? ❞   Phos released the most confused of noises. Leaning forth to the little Gem some more before taking hold of her hand in a drastic manner, inspecting it closely. Clearly Phos had forgotten about boundaries at that moment or simply didn’t care. The only thing they had eye for was the little Gem inside of the other’s palm. 

    ❝ Eh? ❞   They repeat themselves again, now looking up for just a slight second. Just as baffled as a minute ago.   ❝ That’s it? ❞  They asked and looked back at the hand once more before releasing it abruptly.  ❝  That’s you? That’s your gem? ❞

“Wha- Why are you showing me your face, you dolt!?” What in the ever-loving stars was going on!? “If you want to show me that you’re uncracked, show me your gem!” But speaking of gem, she couldn’t find that anywhere! She did a quick scan of the other. Nothing! Was it on the back? She quickly walks around, but still- Nothing! 

“You’re… Phosphophyllite? What?” Zircon gaped at the other, disbelieving.  “No, you’re not! I-” Interrupted, by the other’s yell.

“EUGH!”

She bites her tongue hard in reaction, and curses as the pain tingle in her mouth. “Ough! You- Agh- Stars- Ack-” Sticking her tongue out, fanning it, looking like a absolute buffoon as if to blow away the pain. “You! Hwhy in the staws did you yell fow!?”

   ❝  You’re not trying to tell me there’s a Yellow Diamond here too? ❞

   True, maybe their reaction did come off a little bit strong but who could blame them? These events were just as outstanding for Phosphophyllite as they were for Zircon. Add the mention of Yellow Diamond to that and it leads to a near, pure, meltdown. Seriously, Phos was surprised they hadn’t cracked out of frustration yet. 

   On Phos’ planet Zircon and Yellow Diamond were a team but here.. they weren’t sure about the dynamic of the two. What would this Yellow Diamond even look like? If it is anything comparable to this Zircon it’ll probably be pretty hideous.            These Gems are really strange.

Unease, as the other’s mindless stare bore into her. Even with her holoscreen, it didn’t completely block out the other’s stare. She tried to pretend that she was doing something, but in reality, she was just observing it out of the corners of her eyes. The uncomfortable silence stretched, but then it finally broke. Broken by the most ludicrous thing ever has heard.

“Not a gem? Are you kidding me? Are you stupid? Are you cracked?” Incredulous and agitated, all of her screens disappear and Zircon marches toward the other and points accusingly at them. “I am a Zircon! Zircon Facet 14D Cut 8JE! Part of Yellow Diamond’s court! The best there is! Do I look like those humans to you!?” At that, her eyes widden. “Wait, nevermind that, aren’t you a human?”

    ❝   NOO, no I am not cracked!  Look!  ❞    Phos pointed towards their face then waved their hands desperately show off their un-cracked body. Come on! They knew they were fragile but this is going too far! That’s a sensitive topic!

   This movements stopped in a whim however, as soon as the mention of “Humans” dropped the room went quiet.    ❝  Human? ❞    Repeating the words, it sounded so familiar in their head but what it was they couldn’t even begin to lay a finger on.           But that’s besides the point.

   ❝  But I am a Gem! ❞    Their voice sounding more like a pleading one, as if they somehow had to convince the other of their being.     ❝ Phosphophyllite.....! ❞       And then again, the world suddenly went still.. Phos again mentally reiterating everything Zircon just told them. 

            ❝    ----YELLOW DIAMOND!? ❞

   ❝   Don’t use big words on me!  ❞   The way it was said sounded more like the complaint of a child. At worst Phos just looked kind of peeved, but eager to understand. They needed to know more about this “Gem” so that they could tell the others. Just imagine how they’d look up when hearing about this! Phos could already imagine they praise...   or frustration...   or anger..  

    ---Eh, maybe it’s best to keep this their little secret for now. Surely the others will understand. (They won’t)

     ❝   Seriously.. I am trying to make sense of you.. ❞    Slowly they went on to circulate the “Gem” in front. No.. it didn’t look anything like them at all. 

    Then their last attempt of investigation was closed by a quick poke onto the other’s back.             ❝  Are you even real?  ❞

     “Oh, you haven’t?  Well, that’s okay, there aren’t many of us!”  Black Star chirped, smiling up at Phos, even as they knelt down to get closer to her level.  When the other poked her grey skin, Black Star blinked her eyes and slowly cocked her head to the side.  “Uh.. what are you doing?”  She asked them, before she let out a snort.  “No, they’re not.  Most gems on Homeworld are much bigger than me!”

    ❝   Nothiiiinnggggg... ❞     Words like that of a belonged sigh, clearly gotten bored of the poking around themselves and stopped. Gems of their kind usually made some sort of hard noise. This one on the other hand felt entirely soft, or something close to it.   There was still a certain sense of concentration though, despite the attitude, interest lingered on. 

      ❝  But you don’t feel like a gem. Gems tend to make like a--  ❞    They paused between their words to softly tap their finger against their own skin. It making a clear ticking sound in return, like quickly knocking your nail against a literal rock.    ❝ --that kind of sound. ❞

    What kind of weird alien-looking creature is that?   Phos wondered to themselves.   It was no Lunarian; that is for certain.    Another Gem perhaps?    They highly doubted that too, this creature appeared to be way...   to..  floofy (?)    to be a Gem.    But perhaps it was worth asking.

Anyway I am still working on this and it is late so there’s that. But for Phos’ SU verse I am kind of considering that they probably joined the rebellion at one point. Then that dumbass got shattered almost immediately upon sight. Later they came back as a surprisingly pretty stable forced fusion between themselves and a Lapis Lazuli. As for the other parts? Limb enhancers probs.

    ❝   Black Star Diopside?  ❞     They repeated to themselves.     ❝  Nope, I don’t think I have ever heard of them before. ❞   And with that Phos knelt down in front of the other “Gem” for a more up close investigation. 

     There was only a slight sense of unease surrounding Phos, looking left to right just to see if someone or something was watching them. No sign however, and Phos continued their investigation. Firstly pressing their finger against the skin of the other just to feel any similarities.  Nothing they could make out of immediately but the same gesture repeated itself.                    * Poke *       * poke *
