Early on, studios weren’t sure how to market Clara Bow. Before her “It” girl days, several photo shoots were arranged with her sporting a “vampire bob” in flowing dark gowns, exploring the idea of casting her as a deadly femme fatale. These are photos from that period, from 1923-1925.
