Ranboo’s other half theory
Dream smp theory that @whimlenn and I pieced together
We don’t know who the person from the inbetween speaking to Karl is yet. But I’ve seen theories of people saying its DreamXD because we know DreamXD is this god that has canon access to creative mode, and the inbetween looks like a place fitting for a god to live.
I’ve also seen theories saying its Ranboo’s ancestor/other half because of the white colours and memory loss aspect to the whole thing.
But why can’t they be connected? Maybe DreamXD and Ranboo’s other half are the same person, or at least both existed at one point or another in the inbetween? I know this causes complications between Dream and Ranboo and means they’re related somehow, but we already know that they are connected in some way, and this theory kind of explains that connection.
It would explain Ranboo’s memory loss because the inbetween definitely is connected to Karl’s memory loss, and Karl has to use the inbetween to get them back. It also explains why Ranboo’s voice in his head is Dream. Ranboo himself has said they’ve never actually talked (at least not when Ranboo was conscious and not in an endermen state). They’re family your honour
It also connects to tales from the smp. We know Ranbob is canonically Ranboo’s descendant, but he’s played by Dream, and Ranbob is a Dream stan. Even in the past and future Ranboo and Dream are always connected somehow, even if it’s not exactly through ancestors (like how Dream was supposed to play a butler during the mansion episode). The mansion episode characters weren’t exactly ancestors of the people playing them, but there’s some significance to both Ranboo and Dream playing butlers. In tales their roles are always connected, and more so than their connections with the others. There’s always another added relationship layer.
There’s also so much symbolism of Pandora’s vault being black, and the inbetween being white. Dream lives in Pandora’s vault, DreamXD lives in the inbetween. Ranboo being black and white and having a shared part with aspects of both places (his connections with Dream and his memory loss). Also Dreams shield that is somehow connected to Ranboo and his other half.
There’s also the theory that the prison was meant for Karl because of everything he knows and how much he can affect/change the server. Like the clock symbolism, Dream could have chosen anything to put into the prison cell for the person it was originally meant for, but he chose a clock and books. It sorta seems like he put the clock in there to almost taunt Karl because of his connection with time. Also, Dream is so obsessed with that clock. He has like 30 books but always waits for it to hit halfway because he likes it for some reason. He’s so hyperfixated on it, and has said that it’s the only thing that gives him happiness. The halfway thing can also be Karl/Ranboo symbolism, but that's kind of a stretch. However, clocks definitely are related to both of them. Like how in the tales episode, Billiam could have shown Karl anything, but he specifically showed him the clock in one room. And the butler (Ranboo) stayed back a bit just to stare at it.
There’s also the theory that George represents the overworld, Sapnap represents the nether, and Dream represents the end. In canon, no one knows what the end is, but DreamXD popped onto the server to destroy the portal because no one is supposed to go to the end for a reason we don’t know yet. BUT Ranboo is half enderman!!! Ranboo is connected to the end by default because of his enderman side, Dream represents the end, DreamXD doesn’t want anyone going to the end. It’s all connected somehow.
