Shota Aizawa Headcannons
|д゚)ノ Most of these headcannons are not mine and I do not take credit for all of them. But I just remembered reading them from many different platforms, so credit to the people who did think of most of these!
If he has a crush on you ೃ⁀➷
● At first, Aizawa would be in complete denial.
●The realization wouldn’t hit him all at once—it would creep up on him over time. Maybe he catches himself thinking about you on his way home or noticing when you’re absent more than he would with anyone else.
● At first, he rationalizes it. Your a close friend. We work together all the time. It’s normal to think about you.
●But then it keeps happening. He finds himself anticipating your reactions in conversations, noticing when you seem off before anyone else does, and feeling a little more at ease whenever you’re around. That’s when it starts to bother him.
●He became hyper aware of you. Listening intently on whatever you had to say.
● He doesn't remember a time when he'd actually liked ANYBODY romantically. So it was a surprise to him when Mic told him he was feeling 'butterflies'for you. And that he was developing a big fat crush.
● His initial thought? This is a problem.
●Aizawa isn’t the type to welcome strong emotions, especially ones that make him vulnerable. He’s been through too much, lost too many people. Letting someone get that close is dangerous and he doesnt know if he could take it. So his first instinct is to push it down, to convince himself it’s nothing.
●He’d shut down any thought of it being more than respect because admitting otherwise would mean confronting something he’s not ready for.
● Every time he catches himself watching you too long, he forces himself to look away. If his heart picks up when you smile at him, he ignores it. If he feels a little lighter when you’re around, he tells himself it’s just because you’re easy to talk to.
● He’s would have to have been your friend for a while to actually find a connection with you to feel this way, but your just his friend—of course, he cares. That’s all it is.
● He notices how his mood shifts depending on how you’re doing. If you’re stressed, he finds himself wanting to ease the burden, even if it’s just by taking an extra task off your plate. If you’re laughing, he finds himself more at ease, like the tension in his chest loosens just from hearing it. And when you’re in danger—even in a controlled training scenario—there’s a sharp, involuntary spike of protectiveness that he can’t explain away.
● Still, he crushes it down. He’s lost too much already. Letting someone in like that? That’s not something he can afford. So he tells himself, over and over:
● Your just a close friend. And it stays like that for a while.
● At some point, no amount of rationalizing works anymore.
●Maybe it’s a quiet moment—just the two of you, sitting in the teachers' lounge after a long day, the air thick with exhaustion but comfortable. You’re rambling about something, maybe venting about paperwork or laughing at a dumb joke Hizashi made earlier, and he realizes—this is different.
● He’s not just protective of you because you’re a coworker. He doesn’t just respect you because you’re strong and capable. He likes you. In a way that terrifies him.
● When he accepts his feelings for you, he also starts realizing why he likes you. You care for his students the same way he does, you want to push them to their limits to ensure their prepared, people feel safe in your presence, and best of all. You were kind. There were so many things he didn't even think were special about you at first.
●But the second that realization settles in, so does something else: He can’t do anything about it.
●If he did, it would change things. Right now, you’re his closest friend, someone he trusts completely. If he confessed, and you didn’t feel the same, it would make everything awkward. And even if you did like him back, it would mean opening himself up to something dangerous—something fragile. He’s lost people before.
●He knows what it’s like to let someone in, only to have them ripped away. If you were just a friend, it was easier to pretend you were safe. But if you were something more? If things were official, then losing you would mean losing a part of himself.
● So he keeps his feelings locked up, refusing to risk it.
● Instead, he settles for what he can do. He talks to you like normal, acts like nothing has changed.
● But if someone were paying attention, they’d notice the little things—how he always makes sure there’s a chair open next to him when you walk into the room, how his usually tired voice gains just a bit more energy when you’re involved in the conversation, how he watches you more than he should, like memorizing your presence without realizing it.
● You never notice the way his fingers twitch, like he wants to reach out but won’t let himself. Or how he lingers for a second too long when you say goodnight after a late shift, like he’s reluctant to watch you leave.
● You’re still his closest friend. And as much as it hurts, that has to be enough.
● But when he does accept it, nothing changes. He still has his mind set on keeping you as just a friend, just his coworker or whoever you are.
● A lot of fics involving him have him pounce on you just because you do something he likes or you did something on 'purpose' he likes just to flirt with him. He is not that lustful, especially if he's not even dating you.
● Some fics also don't look into what it would mean if he did have a crush on you. It'd take some time for him to accept it, and even more time for him to express those feelings. I can see him wanting to be careful with these new feelings and act rational about it, not randomly pinning you against the wall and being aggressive while confessing.
● You would only stay a crush for a long time. Your somebody he respects and somebody important. He'd make sure he knows you might even consider him a dating option. He would think about your feelings as well.
If he was dating you ೃ⁀➷
● It took him a while to even consider a relationship. He was convinced no problems would be created if he'd just left his feelings alone and continued life the way it was.
● But he'd realized it wasn't very rational of him to be pushing you and his feelings away because of fear. Afterall, being rational was his whole motto.
● I can only see him dating somebody he has a real connection and past with. If you were somebody he'd just met a few months ago I doubt he'd feel any strong feelings for you.
● At the start of the relationship, he didn't feel like anything changed. You both knew tons about each other so nothing really felt awkward, you didn't have to start out like normal couples do.
● He would talk to you as he normally did, but now that he's accepted that he might actually love you, he's definitely more affectionate when speaking to you. He wasn't just your friend anymore.
● He's in it for the long run. Hes already in his 30s. He doesn't even know what a situationship is. Hell, girlfriend didn't even sound right to him. You were unofficially his wife.
● He doesn't entertain any unnecessary drama. If your committing acts that he finds disloyal or crude just to get his attention, or for the sake of it. He wouldn't think twice about leaving you, maybe even forcing himself to forget you. But he wouldn't be dating you if that was the kind of person you were.
● Doesn't feel the need to constantly check on your location or ask where you are. he'll ask once, and then he'll go about his tasks when you two are apart. If he didn't trust you could take care of yourself he wouldn't be dating you. Your grown and he trusts you completely. He shouldn't have to check on you like a child.
● He shouldn't have to feel he might lose you constantly even more than he does. You should be able to keep yourself safe if he's not around, so his fear of losing you isn't 10x worse.
● He isn't overly protective of you outside of battle, and he isn't controlling. If you need his assistance he'll be there as long as you voice your need for him to step in, or he'll step in himself if he can tell you might need help.
● Same goes for in battle, he fully trusts in your abilities to protect yourself. But if he knows he can help and protect you in any way he's already there. He can't lose you.
● He isn't controlling. Once again, you're a grown adult who can make your own decisions. And if you do something he isn't comfortable with you doing, he'll tell you,
But he wouldn't want to have you follow his every request and demand. plus, he doesn't really mind the stuff you be doing, he trusts that you would never cheat or do something harmful.
● He doesn't show you off outright, he prefers to keep his private life PRIVATE. But he also isn't afraid to talk about his wife to others, he's quite fond of you. and would immediately put a stop to any disrespect towards you (he almost expelled mineta for this)
● He isn't overly affectionate, but he also isn't afraid to show his love for you. having a bad day? he isn't afraid of hugs.
● He isn't a big fan of PDA. Hes a very private man. but he'll occasionally guide you with his hand on the small of your back or holding your wrist or hand for a short amount of time in public.
● Away from the crowd, though, is when he really shows you how he feels. Holding your hands, cupping your cheek, brushing hair out your face, and hands on your waist occasionally.
● He's never felt romantic feelings for anybody until you stole his heart. So he found himself learning new things about what makes his heart skip a beat. Which is almost everything. (He's a very touchstarved man, has always been reserved)
● His favorite form of touching is you sitting on him on the couch or the bed, your arms around his neck and face tucked into his hair or scarf, with his arms hugging you tight. It doesn't even have to be dirty. He loves hugging you this way.
● He knows what things you like, he has never felt pressured by you to impress you with exquisite dates and fancy and expensive gifts.
● You'll go on a date once every 2 or 4 months, and the date is meaningful instead of pricy, so are his rare gifts. He won't say its a gift, just something he picked up that made him think of you.
● Yes, he's a tired man, but that doesn't make him a bad boyfriend. I dont know why people make him out to be a slacker when it comes to putting any effort into a relationship. He's fully capable of having a balance in his life that doesn't clash with your relationship. Yes, he does push people away out of fear, but after he made up his decision to love you, he wouldn't ruin it by being a jackass.
● He can appear rude to others, mainly because he doesn't filter his words or ideas for others. He often comes off as cold, apathetic, and impatient, exerting very little energy in most situations. But really his interior is different from how people view him. He wouldn't be as cold and distant after deciding on having a relationship, if he wasn't ready he wouldn't be dating you.
● He doesn't keep up with his appearance but he still keeps up with his hygiene. There's a difference. And after his first shared shower with you, it turned into one of his favorite things. (Secretly he loves your fancy soaps)
● The both of you shared your boundaries long ago, and they seemed to be working well. You needed space? That's perfectly fine. He needs to get some stuff done anyway.
● He takes naps all day in school, and he knows you don't. so when it's time to come home, you're already asleep while he's cooking for you or grading papers. You graded your papers during the school day, and he did it while you were asleep or on your patrol. Usually your routines never clashed in a negative way.
● Though sometimes he's able to put his work aside for come join you. He loves sleep more then work anyways.
● But don't think he'll disregard his job as a teacher at your request. You wouldn't, and one of his favorite things about you is that your passionate about your work as well.
● cooking! A hc I love was that his mama was a foodie. and he was forced to learn all types of cooking styles. but before you moved in he lived off occasional small snacks and Ramen. not anymore! he cares way more about your health then his, your the same way. So dinner is prepared once in a while when you both have time.
● He wouldn't be jealous of any guy or women that talks to you, but if it was downright obvious they were flirting with you. He'll glare at them, sometimes even using his quirk to scare them, and the flirter usually gets uncomfortable just from the intensity of his gaze. If not, either you shut them down or him. And his way might not be as nice.
● He values silence as much as your presence. You don't always need to talk; just existing in the same place is enough for him. But when he does talk, his words are thoughtful and deliberate if not in a sarcastic manner.
● Life with him is pretty uniform, but never boring. His job is full of chaos and unpredictability, so he craves consistency. He likes knowing you'll be there at the end of the day.
● He isn't blind, he analyzes the thing you do and like and remembers them. He knows how you like your coffee, your habits, your weird need to reorganize the bed pillows everyday (which he doesn't mind as long as it doesn't interfere with his nap time) and the things that comfort you or make you feel excited about.
● He might not say I love you often, but you know he does. he shows it to you everyday through his actions.
● him calling you kitten as a nickname feels cringe. Kitten is a baby cat and calling a grown adult it makes it feel like a predators fetish. He would call you Y/n, maybe even call you baby (yes baby is for young children but its been more normalized fas being a nickname for someones sweetheart) or even call you honey further into the relationship. You'd have to initiate it at first though, then it'd become normal for him.
● he won't say he misses you, but will say something like "you were gone for too long"
General Headcannons ೃ⁀➷
●He let's eri do his hair, never his makeup. Only when she's feeling down.
● He needs reading glasses but refuses to wear them in front of others. Having a quirk that messes with the healthy part of his eyes made glasses a need.
● He dislikes when people are unpunctual (Present mic in most cases)
● Shota likes cats. In fact, he still owns the cat Shirakumo rescued back in high school when it was a kitten.
● His room is quite empty, which reflects his apathetic behavior.
● Shota's specialty is short-length sneak attacks.
● Shota is a social drinker. (I believe this is actually cannon but I forgot what Manga panel showed this)
● He's the mayor of a Minecraft world class 1A created and regularly plays (he's never joined, not once)

Helpful things for action writers to remember
Sticking a landing will royally fuck up your joints and possibly shatter your ankles, depending on how high you’re jumping/falling from. There’s a very good reason free-runners dive and roll.
Hand-to-hand fights usually only last a matter of seconds, sometimes a few minutes. It’s exhausting work and unless you have a lot of training and history with hand-to-hand combat, you’re going to tire out really fast.
Arrows are very effective and you can’t just yank them out without doing a lot of damage. Most of the time the head of the arrow will break off inside the body if you try pulling it out, and arrows are built to pierce deep. An arrow wound demands medical attention.
Throwing your opponent across the room is really not all that smart. You’re giving them the chance to get up and run away. Unless you’re trying to put distance between you so you can shoot them or something, don’t throw them.
Everyone has something called a “flinch response” when they fight. This is pretty much the brain’s way of telling you “get the fuck out of here or we’re gonna die.” Experienced fighters have trained to suppress this. Think about how long your character has been fighting. A character in a fist fight for the first time is going to take a few hits before their survival instinct kicks in and they start hitting back. A character in a fist fight for the eighth time that week is going to respond a little differently.
ADRENALINE WORKS AGAINST YOU WHEN YOU FIGHT. THIS IS IMPORTANT. A lot of times people think that adrenaline will kick in and give you some badass fighting skills, but it’s actually the opposite. Adrenaline is what tires you out in a battle and it also affects the fighter’s efficacy - meaning it makes them shaky and inaccurate, and overall they lose about 60% of their fighting skill because their brain is focusing on not dying. Adrenaline keeps you alive, it doesn’t give you the skill to pull off a perfect roundhouse kick to the opponent’s face.
Swords WILL bend or break if you hit something hard enough. They also dull easily and take a lot of maintenance. In reality, someone who fights with a sword would have to have to repair or replace it constantly.
Fights get messy. There’s blood and sweat everywhere, and that will make it hard to hold your weapon or get a good grip on someone.
A serious battle also smells horrible. There’s lots of sweat, but also the smell of urine and feces. After someone dies, their bowels and bladder empty. There might also be some questionable things on the ground which can be very psychologically traumatizing. Remember to think about all of the character’s senses when they’re in a fight. Everything WILL affect them in some way.
If your sword is sharpened down to a fine edge, the rest of the blade can’t go through the cut you make. You’ll just end up putting a tiny, shallow scratch in the surface of whatever you strike, and you could probably break your sword.
ARCHERS ARE STRONG TOO. Have you ever drawn a bow? It takes a lot of strength, especially when you’re shooting a bow with a higher draw weight. Draw weight basically means “the amount of force you have to use to pull this sucker back enough to fire it.” To give you an idea of how that works, here’s a helpful link to tell you about finding bow sizes and draw weights for your characters. (CLICK ME)
If an archer has to use a bow they’re not used to, it will probably throw them off a little until they’ve done a few practice shots with it and figured out its draw weight and stability.
People bleed. If they get punched in the face, they’ll probably get a bloody nose. If they get stabbed or cut somehow, they’ll bleed accordingly. And if they’ve been fighting for a while, they’ve got a LOT of blood rushing around to provide them with oxygen. They’re going to bleed a lot.
Here’s a link to a chart to show you how much blood a person can lose without dying. (CLICK ME)
If you want a more in-depth medical chart, try this one. (CLICK ME)
Hopefully this helps someone out there. If you reblog, feel free to add more tips for writers or correct anything I’ve gotten wrong here.
How to apply Writing techniques for action scenes:
- Short sentences. Choppy. One action, then another. When there’s a lull in the fight, take a moment, using longer phrases to analyze the situation–then dive back in. Snap, snap, snap. - Same thing with words - short, simple, and strong in the thick of battle. Save the longer syllables for elsewhere. - Characters do not dwell on things when they are in the heat of the moment. They will get punched in the face. Focus on actions, not thoughts. - Go back and cut out as many adverbs as possible. - No seriously, if there’s ever a time to use the strongest verbs in your vocabulary - Bellow, thrash, heave, shriek, snarl, splinter, bolt, hurtle, crumble, shatter, charge, raze - it’s now. - Don’t forget your other senses. People might not even be sure what they saw during a fight, but they always know how they felt. - Taste: Dry mouth, salt from sweat, copper tang from blood, etc - Smell: OP nailed it - Touch: Headache, sore muscles, tense muscles, exhaustion, blood pounding. Bruised knuckles/bowstring fingers. Injuries that ache and pulse, sting and flare white hot with pain. - Pain will stay with a character. Even if it’s minor. - Sound and sight might blur or sharpen depending on the character and their experience/exhaustion. Colors and quick movements will catch the eye. Loud sounds or noises from behind may serve as a fighter’s only alert before an attack. - If something unexpected happens, shifting the character’s whole attention to that thing will shift the Audience’s attention, too. - Aftermath. This is where the details resurface, the characters pick up things they cast aside during the fight, both literally and metaphorically. Fights are chaotic, fast paced, and self-centered. Characters know only their self, their goals, what’s in their way, and the quickest way around those threats. The aftermath is when people can regain their emotions, their relationships, their rationality/introspection, and anything else they couldn’t afford to think or feel while their lives were on the line.
Do everything you can to keep the fight here and now. Maximize the physical, minimize the theoretical. Keep things immediate - no theories or what ifs.
If writing a strategist, who needs to think ahead, try this: keep strategy to before-and-after fights. Lay out plans in calm periods, try to guess what enemies are thinking or what they will do. During combat, however, the character should think about his options, enemies, and terrain in immediate terms; that is, in shapes and direction. (Large enemy rushing me; dive left, circle around / Scaffolding on fire, pool below me / two foes helping each other, separate them.)
Lastly, after writing, read it aloud. Anyplace your tongue catches up on a fast moving scene, edit. Smooth action scenes rarely come on the first try.
More for martial arts or hand-to-hand in general
What a character’s wearing will affect how they fight. The more restricting the clothes, the harder it will be. If they’re wearing a skirt that is loose enough to fight in, modesty will be lost in a life or death situation.
Jewelry can also be very bad. Necklaces can be grabbed onto. Bracelets also can be grabbed onto or inhibit movement. Rings it can depend on the person.
Shoes also matter. Tennis shoes are good and solid, but if you’re unused to them there’s a chance of accidentally hurting your ankle. High heels can definitely be a problem. However, they can also make very good weapons, especially for someone used to balancing on the balls of their feet. Side kicks and thrusting kicks in soft areas (like the solar plexus) or the feet are good ideas. They can also (hopefully) be taken off quickly and used as a hand weapon. Combat boots are great but if someone relies more on speed or aren’t used to them, they can weigh a person down. Cowboy boots can be surprisingly good. Spin kicks (if a character is quick enough to use them) are especially nasty in these shoes.
If a character is going to fight barefoot, please keep location in mind. Concrete can mess up your feet quick. Lawns, yards, etc often have hidden holes and other obstacles that can mess up a fighter. Tile floors or waxed wood can be very slippery if you’re not careful or used to them.
Likewise, if it’s outside be aware of how weather will affect the fight. The sun’s glare can really impede a fighter’s sight. A wet location, inside or outside, can cause a fighter to slip and fall. Sweat on the body can cause a fighter to lose a grip on an opponent too.
Pressure points for a trained fighter are great places to aim for in a fight. The solar plexus is another great place to aim for. It will knock the wind out of anyone and immediately weaken your opponent.
It your character is hit in the solar plexus and isn’t trained, they’re going down. The first time you get hit there you are out of breath and most people double over in confusion and pain. If a fighter is more used to it, they will stand tall and expand themselves in order to get some breath. They will likely keep fighting, but until their breath returns to normal, they will be considerably weaker.
Do not be afraid to have your character use obstacles in their environment. Pillars, boxes, bookshelves, doors, etc. They put distance between you and an opponent which can allow you to catch your breath.
Do not be afraid to have your character use objects in their environment. Someone’s coming at you with a spear, trident, etc, then pick up a chair and get it caught in the legs or use it as a shield. Bedsheets can make a good distraction and tangle someone up. Someone’s invading your home and you need to defend yourself? Throw a lamp. Anything can be turned into a weapon.
Guns often miss their targets at longer distances, even by those who have trained heavily with them. They can also be easier to disarm as they only shoot in one direction. However, depending on the type, grabbing onto the top is a very very bad idea. There is a good likelihood you WILL get hurt.
Knives are nasty weapons by someone who knows what they’re doing. Good fighters never hold a knife the way you would when cutting food. It is best used when held against the forearm. In defense, this makes a block more effective and in offense, slashing movement from any direction are going to be bad. If a character is in a fight with a knife or trying to disarm one, they will get hurt.
Soft areas hit with hard body parts. Hard areas hit with soft body parts. The neck, stomach, and other soft areas are best hit with punches, side kicks, elbows, and other hard body parts. Head and other hard parts are best hit using a knife hand, palm strike, etc. Spin kicks will be nasty regardless of what you’re aiming for it they land.
Common misconception with round house kicks is that you’re hitting with the top of the foot. You’re hitting with the ball. You’re likely to break your foot when hitting with the top.
When punching, the thumb is outside of the fist. You’ll break something if you’re hitting with the thumb inside, which a lot of inexperienced fighters do.
Also, punching the face or jaw can hurt.
It can be hard to grab a punch if you’re not experienced with it despite how easy movies make it seem. It’s best to dodge or redirect it.
Hitting to the head is not always the best idea. It can take a bit of training to be able to reach for the head with a kick because of the height. Flexibility is very much needed. If there are problems with their hips or they just aren’t very flexible, kicks to the head aren’t happening.
Jump kicks are a good way to hit the head, but an opponent will see it coming if it’s too slow or they are fast/experienced.
A good kick can throw an opponent back or knock them to the ground. If the person you’ve hit has experience though, they’ll immediately be getting up again.
Even if they’ve trained for years in a martial art, if they haven’t actually hit anything before or gotten hit, it will be slightly stunning for the person. It does not feel the way you expect it too.
Those yells in martial arts are not just for show. If done right, they tighten your core making it easier to take a hit in that area. Also, they can be used to intimidate an opponent. Yelling or screaming right by their ear can startle someone. (Generally, KHR fans look at Squalo for yelling)
Biting can also be used if someone’s grabbing you. Spitting in someone’s eyes can’t hurt. Also, in a chokehold or if someone is trying to grab your neck in general, PUT YOU CHIN DOWN. This cuts off access and if they’re grabbing in the front can dig into their hand and hurt.
Wrist grabs and other grabs can be good. Especially if it’s the first move an opponent makes and the character is trained, there are simple ways to counter that will have a person on their knees in seconds..
Use what your character has to their advantage. If they’re smaller or have less mass, then they’ll be relying on speed, intelligence, evasion, and other similar tactics. Larger opponents will be able to take hits better, they’re hits may be slower depending on who it is but will hurt like hell if they land, and size can be intimidating. Taller people with longer legs will want to rely on kicking and keeping their distance since they have the advantage there. Shorter people will want to keep the distance closer where it’s easier for them but harder for a taller opponent. Punching is a good idea.
Using a person’s momentum against them is great. There’s martial arts that revolve around this whole concept. They throw a punch? Grab it and pull them forward and around. Their momentum will keep them going and knock them off balance.
Leverage can used in the same way. If used right, you can flip a person, dislocate a shoulder, throw out a knee, etc.
One note on adrenaline: All that was said above is true about it. But, in a fight, it can also make you more aware of what’s going on. A fight that lasts twenty seconds can feel like a minute because time seems to almost slow down while moving extremely rapidly. You only have so much time to think about what you’re doing. You’re taking in information constantly and trying to adjust. Even in the slow down adrenaline gives you, everything is moving very rapidly.
Feelings will be your downfall even more so than adrenaline. Adrenaline can make those feelings more intense, but a good fighter has learned not to listen to those feelings. A good fighter may feel anger at being knocked down or in some way humiliated - their pride taken down. Yet they will not act on the anger. Acting on it makes a fighter more instinctive and many will charge without thinking. Losing control of anything (adrenaline rush, emotions, technique, etc) can be a terrible thing in a fight.
Just thought I’d add in here.
YES. YES.
Such good writing tips! @myebi
@jmlascar you’ve probably seen this already, but in case you haven’t, it’s got some good info on fight scenes :)
Comedy short: fire safety with the Cullens
Paring: Cullen!Reader X Cullen!Family
Summary: just the Cullen children not talking anything serious.
A/n: based off a tic tok sound I found. I Don't know the original creator.
🩵Master list 🩵Emmett cullen story 🩵Eleazar Story
“Esme and I gathered you all here today to go over what we do if there's a fire in the house” carlisle stated.
“I'm running away as fast as I can, and if your in my way I'm gonna push you” Emmett joked.
“how about we go to the nearest window and jump?” y/n asked.
“no” carlisle said plainly. “we will all calm down and line up quietly” carlisle said like it was so obvious.
“you want us to stay happy and joyful while we burn?” Rose asked getting annoyed.
Y/n and Alice snickered as carlisle slowly started to get annoyed with his 'children'.
“'line up quietly'” Jasper said in his best carlisle impression. “is the fire sleeping?” he asked.
Ignoring Jasper, Carlisle continued to talk. “if everyone starts screaming I can't take a head count on who's missing”
“do a head count while everyone is burning?” Emmett aksed.
Esme rolled her eyes. “What if everyone started running and someone behind you trips and falls?” she hopped for a real awnser, she didn't get one.
“that's there fault, they should have run faster” Jasper said.
Carlisle sighed, getting annoyed. “you know what? We're just gonna hide under furniture”
“what's the fire doing? Playing hide and seek?” y/n asked. Edward chuckled.
“and we will be Leaving everything in the house” carlisle added, getting more iratated.
“no exceptions” Esme added.
“okay 'dad'” Edward started. “do you want pay for my CDs, books, and my piano?”
Trying not to laugh, y/n spoke up. “Dad do you want to pay for my funko pop collection and all my Elvis records? Beacuse I'll bring the whole shelf with me if I have too”
“I'm not leaving my jewelry behind, you know who much all that stuff cost?” Rosalie added.
“my god” Esme sighed.
“we will calm down beacuse I won't open the door until we're in a nice and tity line” Carlisle said.
“what if one of us is burning?” Edward asked.
“he's gonna tell us 'cAlM dOwN honEY`” Emmett joked.
“no he's gonna tell us to stop, drop, and roll” Edward snickered. Esme looks at carlisle trying not to giggle.
“how about we tie you to a chair and let you burn” Rosalie said getting annoyed.
“Rosalie Hale!” Esme said sternly, everyone eles started laughing while carlisle sighed in dispontment.
“do you think Eleazar and Carmen dose this with Gerett and the girls?” y/n aksed.
“no beacuse they're normal” Rosalie said making us all laugh.
Some of my favourite Detroit: Become Human quotes ♡
Heart breaking quotes from DBH, just so you know this blog is NOT dead.
I rather keep this blog focused on Detroit become human, other blogs are mixed with spoilers from Marvel movies to Devil May Cry… so… this is your DBH safe haven.
Is Daniel/Simon (PL600) a sexual companion like North or a Traci?
Analyzing the game again, a controversy has sparked because of this picture, so let’s take a look at how much of “canon” (real game canon) might or not be behind it:
Now, we see this PL-500 picture that clearly states that, although “romantic mode” is optional, the PL-500 is intended as a intimate (sexual) partner, and if one thing we’ve notice from the androids in this game is that the first two letters usually determine “the category” (just like RK are military/police, or the YK are children). And there are two major characters on the game that are later versions of this “PL-500”, and that is the PL-600 Daniel and Simon, that although are described as “household/caretakers/companions”, it’s never specified up to what point.., and possibly the fact that they can cook meals and care for your kids is actually the NEW feature, as PLs where originally sexual/romantic companions on previous models.
This is never actually “explicit” but it’s weirdly hinted during the entire game. - So, we mostly see Daniel, a PL-600 android during the chapter “The Hostage” (witch is also the demo of the game) and maybe a bit of him (depending on what you do) at the end on the chapter “Last Chance Connor”, but we can all conclude that Daniel life was at the house of the Phillips.
At first glance everything was good at the Phillips house, and, there’s even this very nice picture of them as soon as you get off the elevator with Connor.
Connor is given very little time to determinate the best approach to rescue the hostage (Emma) from their now deviant android Daniel.
One of the first interesting things I’ve noticed, despite the fact that the Phillips are actually quite rich to be living in such an apartment (during such rough economic times in Detroit, as Kara sees it on the trip at the beginning, on Todd car), is that the mother never, EVER says ANYTHING about her dead husband. Never laments or screams or even mentions it (her husband is right there dead on the living-room, I mean…), Caroline Phillips (little Emma’s mother) is only focus on saving her daughter, and spitefully says “keep that thing away from my daughter” referring Connor, but we all assume her hate is shared to all androids (witch it’s odd, she owns one that even plays with her daughter).
This very vaguely hints the mother of the house has a quarrel with androids (for some reason) from BEFORE the incident at hand, and when you go see Captain Allen, you walk into the main bedroom.
One thing that caught my eye is that, despite having a household android, it’s nighttime and the incident has being occurring -since one hour- before Connor arrival (meaning an hour ago wasn’t the morning either, you see this on the news on the fridge area), AND, for some reason, the bed sheets are all messed up on the parent’s bedroom.
If you (Connor) analyze/re-construct where Daniel got the gun of the father, you see he never touches the bed when he goes for the gun.
I doubt Captain Allen is letting his SWAT team fool around in the bed, so that’s discarded.
The father of the family (the now “late” John Phillips) has being watching TV and using the tablet to order another android… so… why are the sheets on the parent’s bedroom undone?
If the wife was suffering depression or simply “in bed”, she would have seen Daniel go into the room in panic and get/load the gun right in front of her.
This indicates that possibly the mother was either out of the house at the moment of the event, or somewhere else (the bathroom, etc).
If you examine Emma’s room you will see that she was listening to music, as Connor concludes that this is why Emma didn’t heard the shooting, again, the mother must have being out, if not, she would have heart the entire thing… but there is a darker twist as to why Emma might have being with her music full on… Yes, there is a high provability that John Phillips, “dear old dad”, was having sex with Daniel in the bedroom next door, and there is a grater chance that obviously this was “a regular thing”. Therefore a broken relationship with his wife and that “rich people perfect family photo” was just a charade, thus, also, why “mom was out of the house”. - Even if all evidence is circumstantial, it just fits right in too fast and too perfectly to ignore in a game that pays so much attention to details and talks so much about abusive relationships and dysfunctional families.
Connor can reconstruct events but not “audio”, if you examine the late John Phillips body, you will see that Daniel stood up behind him and they actually had “a talk” BEFORE Daniel starts shooting.
By the food that was left overcooking in the kitchen, the bet is that “dad” had it with Daniel at the main bedroom (maybe even realizing at that point that having sex with the same android was “getting boring”, thus, since they obviously have the money, start considering buying another “sex android toy”).
Then Daniel went to do dinner, oversaw the same men that just had sex with him ordering another “replacement” android, got pissed off like a lover would (this is very common actually, a couple or sexual/romantic partner shooting the other if they know that they’ll being left for “someone else”), run to the bedroom, takes the gun, confronts John (his lover) verbally, Daniel finally snaps, shots him to death, and then runs (like a mother would), to get Emma.
Possibly THAT was the moment where Caroline Phillips returned to the apartment and Daniel saw/heard the elevator blocked, so he head outside.
Now, another interesting thing is that Daniel has a very close relationship with Emma (the little girl), almost “motherly like”, up to the point in witch after shooting the dad, the first thing he can think of is taking Emma (much like Kara when shooting Todd and gets Alice).
Sure, then in desperation and confusion, is shoot by the first cop that arrives and everything escalates “pretty quickly”, but any mother would tell you that after a traumatic event, the first thing you get with you is your kids.
This talks a lot about how Daniel at least “felt” he was indeed one of Emma’s parents, he has a mother instinct until Emma starts to reject him due to the situation and he realized that the girl doesn’t see him the way “he sees her”, feeling all the more betrayed.
* On a side note:
If you see where Daniel and Emma video (tablet, Emma’s room) was taken, you will see the background well enough to realize it’s the same park that Markus cross every time he goes to get paintings for Carl Manfred. - As we established before, Markus is a “patient zero” regarding deviancy.
Markus has the “virus” of deviancy (possibly implanted by Kamski itself before giving him as a “gift” to Carl Manfred), and unaware of it, spreads it to any android near him (remember the “androids are constantly shearing information, and during Freedom March, when Markus becomes aware of his ability, he can turn deviants from almost a couple blocks away from his location).
Then, if the infected android gets into a traumatic or emotional event, the “symptoms” of deviation occur. - Thus, there is a high chance that Markus infected Daniel with deviancy without even noticing when crossing the park one day, and the detonating stressful emotional trauma was later on when Daniel saw, what he obviously considered “his family” replacing him.
Simon, being also a PL-600, has also relevant behaviors to that matter, especially regarding Markus.
For instance, it’s only him and North the only ones who can “give Markus their heart” (source of power, AKA “battery”) if Markus gets wounded during the violent final protest. - This is interesting because while North might or not have an “intimate relationship” with Markus at that point, and Simon validates his point by “if you (Markus) die, our cause dies with you” kind of thing, he does seems a lot emotionally involved, and, plus… Why isn’t there a scene where, let’s say, equally important character like Josh, offers to sacrifice himself too for the good of the cause??? (let’s say you never develop a relationship with North, you let Simon die at some point, and, North being an egocentric psycho-maniac that only wants to “kill and burn”, I guess Josh would have had more chances to give his life for “the cause”).
* By the way, North has NO excuse, I’ve already explained this before, she killed (strangled) the human that “rent her” (so her immediate abuser is already dead), but also she wants to kill all other humans as well, AND!, she is quickly to say “let’s kill androids too”, so… other androids are North “victims” too, either it’s because she wants to fight and they’re being slaughter, or because “Shoot Simon!” (when, there where a lot other options).
By the way, this scene where Simon gets shot at the roof is one that makes you wonder, developers (as it’s obvious in the EdenClub chapter and Hank later reflections over it, as if it was a future where all sexuality is embraced as normal), have no issue regarding the sexual orientation of any character (if per-se’ androids are genderless and only assigned a gender to look like humans making interactions more comfortable). - If you take the gun and follow North “orders” to shoot Simon on the roof, you’ll be given a second chance to reconsider things, as Simon reminds you that “there is always another way”, but it’s up to you (Markus). - If you decide to put the gun down (disappointing North lust for blood of any color), next time this two characters meet, they hug each other very warmly, …witch isn’t odd given that Markus thought that Simon was death and left behind… but still, quite an emotional response, because this isn’t Kara and Alice “hugging all the time”.
Add to this, during the Freedom March, Simon, being basically “the coward” throughout the whole game and avoiding conflict, if Markus gets shot (and you don’t have any other androids that came with you from the where house of Cyberlife), jumps into the fight like crazy and even dies for Markus at that point. - This goes basically against every fiber of Simon good judgment and behavior traits from the star, he is always scared and passive, even pessimistic regarding the android revolution although it supports it.
Conclusions:
Overall there aren’t hard evidence, there isn’t a “fools-proof” signature telling you any of this things, but when too many circumstantial evidence piles up, you also have a case…
The entirety of the situation with Daniel might be interpreted differently, if you stretch things up, to a more “innocent like” explanation (that I personally don’t see how could fit at this point). And trust me, this blog is for analyzing the main canon of the official game, if there was any other feeling or evidence, I would point it out… but some things are beyond any explaining, like why the bed is all messed up at night if you have a domestic android just to take care of stuff like that (even Kara makes Todd’s bed).
So, for me, the first chapter (or “demo”) sums up the end of an abusive relationship on a love triangle that torn apart a marriage and a family (like even Magazines during the game indicate, that because of “sex androids” couples where getting divorced).
But tell me what you think or if you have found any other evidence that points out otherwise!
