OK, so all shall now behold the epicness of what happens when one drops my AU Wheel of Time chars into an AU Silm verse. Right now we focus on my fully redeemed Lanfear AKA Mierin and her OC brother-in-law Mortlund as they find themselves in Sauron's evil tower of Tol-in-Gaurhoth. They must fight both him, Thuringwith, and his spouse, the OC Maia, Moriel.
Enjoy.

The former Forsaken, Mierin, embraced saidar, drawing the sweetness of life into herself as her dark eyes tried to pierce the darkness of this new place she was now in. It reminded her disconcertingly of Shayol Ghul, yet she knew it was not. She began to walk forward, her movements graceful, her white and silver dress standing out amongst the shadows, and whispering softly as she moved.
The male-channeler leaned against a wall in the darkest place imaginable, one hand going to his belt as if to grasp at a sword-hilt which was not there. What need had he for a blade. He could channel. He seized saidin, the raging icy fire of the male half of the One Power flowing into him, untainted. His intense deep blue eyes seeking for anything that might attack him from within the cover of the shadows as he walked.
Mierin paused near a wall, thinking she saw something down a side passage. Her breath caught in her chest as at first she thought she beheld Morten, but now. The hair was far too long to be her husband. But Mortlund was dead, wasn't he? Her hold on saidar did not waver despite the emotions which roiled outside the calm center of her inner self.
Mortlund turned to face the woman who now stood to the side of a crossway between several corridors. His eyes narrowed and he scowled.
"Lanfear," Mortlund said icily preparing a weave for Balefire without barely a second thought.
"Wait....." Mierin began her voice pained as she took a step away from her brother-in-law, who truly was supposed to be dead. "I am.....no longer that person."
"So you say?" Mortlund sneered back, not believing the beautiful woman for one second. He raised his hand the white-hot shaft of Balefire blazing forth leaving a purple after-image in its wake.
The Avian Maia swooped down on the two mortal intruders thinking them easy prey, that is until the male one shoots a bolt of starfire from his hand and momentarily blinds Thuringwethil. She hisses and shifts to the side landing just behind the man ready to spring forth and grasp him in her claws to snap his body in two.
Cursing Mierin wove her own stream of balefire, believing Thuringwethil must be some sort of demented Shadowspawn. She was filled with fear for her brother-in-law. Morten had already suffered once and enough from believing his twin-brother to be dead without needing to do it a second time.
Seeing where Lanfear's Balestream went Mortlund turned to face some kind of huge Drahkar, except it could not be. He dove aside as the woman-thing's claws came for him, weaving flows of Air to shield himself from injury. He frowned in Lanfear's direction as it seemed she had saved him, but of course for her own twisted purposes and for no other -
"Light!" he watched as a group of demented monsters approached, they weren't Trollocs, but by the Creator they were certainly disturbing and hideous enough to have a blasted Ebu Dari duel over. He channeled Earth disrupting the stone under the twisted-things' feet throwing some up into the air and tripping up others.
Seeing what Mortlund was doing Mierin drew her attention toward the new threat and made a gagging noise. Either Aginor had been holding back, or the Dark One had found himself another bio-engineer with an even worse disposition than her former colleague. She sent lightning raining down on these new monsters, charring flesh and bone. She kept one eye on Mortlund still fearing something might happen to him and she would have to inform Morten that his brother had been alive all these years only to die once more.
Thuringwethil's lips pulled back in a snarl she eyed the strange foreign mages wonder how best to kill them. They seemed annoyingly competent and it irked her, greatly. She took to the air focusing on the man for the woman seemed to be concerned for man's well-being. She doves at his exposed back.
Weaving one single Deathgate - Mortlund had had about enough of these deformed things - the Gateway opened and snapped shut devouring monsters quickly and efficiently, just as its creator had wished.
"No!" Mierin yelled as the winged thing dove for Mortlund. She hurled a bolt of fire at the monster, throwing a loop of Air at Mortlund intent upon pulling him across the corridor and protectively behind her.
With ease, Mortlund snapped Lanfear's weave of Air with one spun out of saidin, this did give him warning enough so he could move aside as the winged monster dove for him. He cursed. He needed to get out of here, and quickly.
"Idiot man," Mierin muttered as he snapped her weave. She rushed over to Mortlund, remembering how the winged-monster had flinched way from the light of the Balefire. She wore another Balestream aiming it up for her.
Pulling out of her dive Thuringwethil could sense the air heating as the woman-mage prepared to make another of those accursed light-bars. She drpped lightly to the floor and decided to go speak to her Lord. He would know how to defeat these two. She folded her wings about herself like a cloak and glided to Gorthaur's study.
The Maia Mairon sat in his study a book open before him as he worked at his dark spells, wishing to make them more potent and also usable by others. He frowned questioningly, when Thuringwethil requested entrance.
"I am quite busy, Thuringwethil, what do you wish?" he asked tersely, closing his book and marking his place with a finger.
Entering the study, Thuringwethil curtsies deeply to her Lord. "We have intruders of great power," she informs him unhappily.
"And you wish me to do something about them, as you cannot do so, yourself, yes?" Mairon asked his tone mockingly concerned as he rose from his chair and pushed past the other lesser Maia out into the hallway.
Mierin promptly wove a Skimming Gate which swung open onto blackness. Her destination was a sunny and clear meadow somewhere. This accursed place had to have one and obviously it did, or the Gateway would not have even formed. "Come on, Mortlund. We can't stay." She stepped through, forming a platform on which they could stand.
Â
"With you? Not likely," Mortlund retorted acidly, turning as another figure approached. One who actually put real fear into the man's heart, unlike Lanfear, which was really saying something.
"Good evening little mages," Mairon intoned mildly, his voice ever beautiful to behold yet also containing a dark quality to it which certainly made it clear on whose side he served.
Not hesitating Mierin wove Balefire yet again, aiming for the newcomer's chest before -
A bolt of sheer blackness criss-crossed the Balefire actually dimming it slightly.
"What the - !" Mierin muttered as she watched a flame eyed monster who seemed quite displeased storm down the hall toward her and Mortlund, a blazing red-orange sword gripped in one fist.
Mairon exerted his will upon the strange stream of liquid time-altering fire the woman had sent at him, willing it to be nothing but air, about a foot from his chest.
Moriel advanced toward the Atan woman who dared to think she could harm her spouse. How dare she!
Mortlund watched all this with stunned interest as golden-haired man seemed to make the Balefire cease to be. He clung to the Source as that Gateway of Lanfears seemed to keep looking better and better every second.
"Do you really think your little foreign enchantments can stop me?" Mairon asked Mierin and Mortlund. "I am a Maia, one who has been gifted with the greatest of power," his blue eyes gleamed unnaturally if even hellishly as he spoke.
"Come ON!" she yelled as she prepared another weave, one Thedra would have her hide if she ever learned she had ever used again. She wove Compulsion, certainly less obvious and showy than Balefire, and it seemed these...beings knew little if nothing of the One Power. She hurled the weave at the flame-eyed one working to secure it about her.
Moriel could not see the strange and alien net which tried to bend itself about her mind and control it, but with casual annoyance, she burned it away, stepping closer still to the Atan-woman.
Mierin stared in wide-eyed disbelief. The thing had just melted her weave, just like that, as if it were butter!
Deciding he'd rather take his chances with Lanfear over these two other...things, he dove for her Gateway and skidded to a stop on his knees atop her platform.
Mierin closed her Gateway with a snap and the platform sailed through the black nothingness which existed in the strange other dimension where Skimming took place. Within half an hour they had arrived at their destination as a new Gateway swung open, now showing the sunny glade she had imagined, if slightly different.
Mortlund stepped out first, glancing about warily. Mierin then followed, closing her Gateway but not letting go of the Source.
Mortlund found the trees in this place odd, almost stedding like, but obviously they were not in one as both of them seemed still able to channel. He finally settled for sitting against a tree. It seemed whether he liked it or not, Lanfear was going to be his ally for the time being.
