BBC Luther - don’t read if you are not caught up to season 4

So I finally caught up with BBC Luther on Netflix. Brilliant show by the way. Loved it after one episode.

First, I would like to say I understand why the story took that turn it did with Alice. Not to say I was happy with it, because I was not. Though I realize with Ruth being on Showtime’s ‘The Affair‘ She probably couldn’t be in the latest season of Luther.

(*Note: Kudos to Ruth on her show. Absolutely love your current and previous work.)

Anyways, I was sad to see the supposed death of Alice Morgan. (lovely character that she is) Honestly it didn’t seem right for her to go out like that. I still holding out hope that their is a twist to that story and that she is somehow still alive. Alice/Ruth deserved a better way to go.

Idris Elba gives a great performance with his return as Luther. His reaction to Alice’s supposed demise from a person related to a case from his early days as a D.C. was a rather amazing twist. Now I believe we will be seeing another side of Luther. He has lost many people he has loved and Alice being the one constant person in his life to really care about him. Now she is supposedly gone by the psycho young woman that he made a promise to when she was a child. Yes, I believe when he goes after her will be vastly different from Alice. There is no love there or fondness. Just anger, pain, and a promise of suffering. At least in that moment that is what he looked like to me.

Also new comer, Laura Haddock playing Megan Cantor was definitely something else entirely in comparison to Alice Morgan. Though I didn’t life the implications of what her character has supposedly done to Alice, and in general Luther’s situation for season 4. I find her character a bit refreshing from the previous villainous characters they have had pitted against Luther.

It seems to me that if they do go ahead with a season 5 that things might be a bit different with Cantor and Luther with their character development. Honestly looks as if Cantor might be the one to really push Luther to that dark side he tries so hard to stay on the other side of the line of.

Alice always seemed like a his yang to his yin. So I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Kudos to everyone who helped to make BBC Luther the success it is today.

Misha

Honestly I heard quite quickly of what happened to our dear Mr. Collins. Though I’ve only just been able to have a moment free as well as time to move passed my shock to comment on Misha’s attack & mugging.

First I am ever so happy that it wasn’t worse than it was. Though Misha’s down play of his condition is quite obvious, it is rather sweet and admirable. His determination & kindness is above and beyond anything I ever heard of. He truly is a rare and special person. He has touched so many lives. Whether it be personally, through gishwhes, random acts, his work, or just by being himself. He has inspired more people than I think even he can realize.

 So many want justice for what has happened to him. Even then he plays what happened down. His kindness seems to know, no boundaries. He did not deserve what happened to him.

Though bad things happen to good people like our Misha, he rises above that. He decides to take the more positive road despite what he must be going through.

If he was inspirational & special to so many before, it has only been engraved 10 fold into us & brought more people in support of him.

I can only speak for myself here, but I believe many will agree with me. When I say that “we love you Misha” it’s because you have found an everlasting place in my heart. For the person you are with your kindness, courage, determination, selflessness, loyalty, warmth, encouraging ways, positive attitude, fun and silly ways. Also your acceptance. In just being yourself you have unintentionally given me more than I can explain. You’ve shed light upon so much. It has changed me irrefutably. Thank you.

Know that you are loved, admired, cared for, respected and made a difference.

Misha Collins is my unexpected hero when I didn’t realize I needed one. My inspiration to be better person and to continue to volunteer to different organizations that most have tried to keep me from joining in. An encouraging representation to just be myself instead of what everyone else including society wants me to be.

Never change Misha Collins. The world would truly be a dark place if you did.

  Small note: Fb I have no idea how they could have made that much of a mishap. I mean it's a verified account is it not. Honestly think someone dropped the ball there.

Suggestion to Fb: Apologize now! I don't mean a simple "I'm sorry" message to Misha Collins but something good. By causing this ^ (above) to happen, you royally screwed up. No other way to go about saying it. Even if Misha is forgiving, his fan base (followers, minions, etc) probably will be miffed for a bit.

Gishwhes

Very disappointed that Gishwhes is over. Though it was my first year life has decided to throw everything off balance during this time. It is still something I have no regrets in joining. Even if I could not really join in much, the people I have come into contact with have been wonderful new friends. The items have been a new experience and eye opener to fun, weird, and touching experiences. Obviously just because the hunt is over, does not mean I will not aspire to fulfil most of the items list in my own time. It is enjoyable and some just spreading of kindness to others is just something I think most should try to achieve everyday. Even in the most miniscule of things can help shine a warm light of kindness, happiness, and love to someone's day. Make no mistake though, I will be more prepared for next year. Wishing everyone a very kale filled day. x LadyBee
